The experience was good and they worked with my credit score. The bad is we've been having issues with the vehicle after 7 mths. of having the car. The sensors keep going off. I had my mechanic check-out all the codes for the most part it checked out good. He did say the sensor probably should be replaced. Also one of the daytime driver lights quit working after a couple months still needs to be replaced. It would be nice if Cypress Auto offered to replace it for us. It's a 2011 Acura MDX. read more

I recently purchased a pre owned truck from Cypress Auto Sales, after I was assured multiple times buy both sales people, that the truck had been looked over by a mechanic, and all points of concern were addressed. After asking to furnish proof of the work done, I was repeatedly told, "we can't find the folder." "But not to worry, because we haven't been in business this long by being shady..." The sales process was painless, the only good part about this shady used car lot, was the salesman, Ben. Low pressure, easy to work with. This gave me hope that I had found a Diamond in the rough... More of a CZ... So I mistook them for a reputable dealer that offered quality used trucks. After getting my new truck home, and parking it on my brand new, still unsealed, concrete driveway, to my surprise I woke up to fluids being leaked from the truck.... I reached out to my sales person, he advised me to drop the truck off, and you would have it fixed. When I dropped the truck off, I showed, the sales person on site where I had noticed some leaking in the engine bay, and where it was leaking and splattering all over the drivers front end. After a few days, I was told the mechanic found that the transmission pan had a "significant leak." Interestingly enough, there were no drips in the location of the transmission pan, believe me, I see every single drop. I was then. assured that it would be safe to park back on my driveway. I naively parked my new truck back on my new driveway, and yet again, woke up to dripping in my driveway... I'm overly curious how a mechanic would have missed this. After reaching out, I was advised that since the repair on the transmission pan was so expensive, i was basically out of luck. Now I have multiple issues with this interaction. I was told that a mechanic had gone through and given the truck a clean bill of health, not just that it was power washed and spray painted to hide any imperfections. After multiple requests, I was finally able to get the owner to return my call. He advised me that they were well aware that the transmission pan was leaking, and had every intention to fix it, when I brought it back to have the only issue that was actually disclosed, taken care of. I was provided a "due bill" of services needing to be done to the truck still, no mention of any leaks that they still had to have fixed. The owner said he would the call his "mechanic", you know, the same one that missed the leaks after looking at it multiple times, and get back to me with a price for repairs. Didn't hear from him for an hour or so, so I called the shop to find out what he had to say, nowhere to be found, I was then told he would return my cal as soon as he got back to the shop... never happened... Save yourself the hassle and AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Update: Originally posted almost 30 days ago! After being given a sob story, the owner convinced me to take my review down so he could make the situation right... here we are almost 30 days later and I finally got my truck back!! After digging more, none of the repairs that he said would be fixed, were even addressed. Stay away. Responded to a listing for a "like new" dodge 3500 pickup. Spent several hours at the dealership arranging additional insurance coverage to drive the truck to my mechanic for a prepurchase inspection. Spent $150. Failed miserably. Add insult to injury: the dealership owner them told me the truck had been traded in by an old couple in the Roseville area and that's why it smelled like pee after sitting in the sun. Also insulted me with a crack about "did I pee in the truck?" once he realized I wouldn't purchase the truck. Also radio broken, jake-brake inop, many flaws even though they are featured accessories in the listing (below). Naturally the salesman had previously advised me that I had better buy the truck right now because someone was preapproved and coming in to get it the next day... weeks later it's still there and the listing is still posted on craigslist. We were there right when they opened on a Saturday and we were immediately greeted. Even though the staff was working to get the lot open, they made us a priority and let us take the truck out for a test drive. From the ad we saw, it seemed the truck was in great condition and we were not disappointed on the test drive. We traded in our half-ton pickup and got to take home our new used truck. The entire experience from arriving at the lot in one truck and driving away in another took less than two hours. I purchased a 2002 F-350 dually two years ago. Since then, I have only put on 15,000 miles. When I purchased the truck, the tires looked new to me with good tread. What I have since learned is that even though they looked new they were 8 and 10 years old at the time I purchased the truck. Funny how he hid the older tire on the dually part (inner tire) where you could not see the date. Nice move Sam. How do you find out the age of the tire??? I have since come to learn there is a manufacture date on the tire. Be advised that rubber breaks down over time. Heat, cold, expand, contract. I pull a living quarter horse trailer around 13,000 lbs total and Sam sold me a truck with tires that were well past their lifetime and dangerous. The weight put on the bed of the truck is significant causing stress on the old, cracked tires. I recently went back to see if he would give me new tires and he argued that the tires were legal and that he did nothing wrong. He started to say he would give me a credit and got on his computer only to say he could not find tires. A credit. Seriously Sam? If you want to make good, I just paid $1880 for six new tires...brand new tires manufactured in January of this year, not 8 and 10 year old tires. Thank you Auburn Tire Service you guys were honest and amazing. I asked Sam if he would put old tires on a truck for his wife or daughter and I think we all know the answer... I told him I could have a blowout and it could cause a major accident, not to mention could hurt other people, me and my beloved horses. Additionally, within two weeks of buying the truck it was in the shop. Engine light came on oh and there were multiple leaks. Even though it was inspected by Auburn Ford they only fixed what the "major" issues were. I have since put $1500 into the truck in repairs, fixed all of the leaks. After reading some of the reviews, I think blaming a dealership for financing issues is unfair, that is not something they can control. What I look for is customer service and if the vehicles are in good condition/fairly priced. We have looked at several different trucks at several dealerships. We have come across some shady places trying to sell lemons and hide problems like painting over rust lol. That is the opposite of what we found here. The truck was immaculate! We both were happily surprised how clean and beautiful the interior was. We popped the hood and the engine, battery, and basically everything you need was perfect. Sunday 6-14-20 We drove from Daly City, CA to Auburn, CA to test drive a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 s.q. diesel long bed, when we drove up with our 2013 white Hyundai Genesis Lee came out to greet us & the Ron took over. We gave Ron our information for a loan but Ron was having a hard time choosing a place to get a loan from the 3 printed pages that he has. Lee said if we put 10K down we wouldn't have a problem getting a loan. Monday 6-15-20 I spoke to Lee & Lee told me that the finance guy would be in on Tuesday because his days off our Sunday & Monday. Tuesday 6-16-20 my husband who is a business owner & I both called & spoke to Lee & Ron called me back but still no updates & nothing had changed. Tuesday 6-16-20 we drove up from Daly City, CA to Cypress Auto Center arrived at 4:00 pm Lee & Ron were shocked to see us. I unfortunately have been taken advantage of by this used car lot. I can echo what seems to be a consistent pattern in the negative reviews. I was told the truck I was interested in was in top condition, run through a Ford Dealership and given the thumbs up. I let them know I came out of the auto repair industry so I would be looking it over. I drove 400 miles to buy this specific model, and was trading a mint condition vehicle and offered the service records for the vehicle. I expected that there would be necessary repairs a used car dealer would not do. I come from the auto dealership industry. When I arrived it was terrible weather. I immediately noticed clunking in the front end, under inspection I could see the shocks were worn out and the stabilizer links worn out, also the tailpipe was rusted off. I noticed some oil and asked again if the vehicle was inspected for leaks. Yes, Yes, and no problems. I said to the sales people who were very nice that the place and specifically the mechanic who supposedly inspected this truck should be fired since what I noticed was obvious and no mechanic should miss that. To their credit they deducted what I found on a quick inspection off the sale price. However here is where the story gets much worse. I drove that vehicle 400 miles home and realized it needed to go to the shop to confirm it was only shocks and steering stabilizers. I was shocked to hear how bad of shape and in undriveable or sellable condition for any reputable dealer to sell it was. The list so far is as follows; Turbo Charger inoperable, valve covers, side plates, transmission, pinion seal with serious leaking, front upper and lower ball joints completely worn out (this is a safety issue and the source of the obvious clunking I heard on a test drive) Steering stabiler and steering arm shock worn out (another safety issue) Ujoints worn out, Steering gear box worn out (both safety issues) front brake caliper leaking brake fluid, muffler and all 4 shocks worn out, serious undercarriage rust on the frame. Total cost to fix this to driveable condition $8, 162.00. I contacted the sales person who said she was going to pull the inspectione report (sound familiar, look at the other reviews and it will). To make matters worse my reputable shop where the vehicle is currently said the reason I did not see the leaks is because it was obvious to them once on a lift and a closer look under the hood that the problems were covered up by pressure washing, spray paint, and undercoating. I am embarrassed because I have automotive experience but it is clear this car dealerships are masters and covering up and blatently lying. To quote my mechanic " there is no way this was run through a reputable shop and that these problems were not covered up". I should have walked away and drove home with my perfect condition truck. I could have been killed, killed someone else on that drive home and especially in terrible weather conditions (it snowed in the mountain passes that day). Where am I at? No call from the owner and the salesperson says she doesn't think anything can be done. I have pictures to support every detail I wrote. They better think that statement through! Do not buy a truck from these people. I am willing to work with them on the repairs or exchange of either my truck back or a quality truck of equal value. 28K for a truck promoted in great condition is clearly fraud. I bought my truck from cypress auto a couple weeks ago. When all was said and done, I had my loan set up to go through SAFE credit union (local to sacramento I believe). I went through SAFE because I was advised to by the employee handling my loan at cypress auto (Off the top of my head I don't remember if it was Lee or Lance) that it was the best way to go. Fast forward eight days, I get a call from the dealership, stating I was approved for the loan through SAFE credit union, however I was not approved to be a member of the credit union because of the county I live in. He advised me that my options at that point were to find another loan or bring the truck back. Keep in mind at this point I had already sold my previous truck so I was pretty much stuck. To get to the point, cypress auto neglected to tell me that I could not be a part of the credit union they approved me through. THEIR mistake cost me a four hour round trip drive and another $3000 out of my pocket (for a higher down payment to keep the monthly payments where I needed). In return all I got was $800 off the price of the truck. Now on to the condition of the vehicle. I'm not sure what kind of checks these guys do on their trucks before they sell them, if any at all. After bringing the truck home and checking it myself I found multiple issues that needed attention. 1. The battery cables and batteries were heavily corroded (an easy fix if you know what you're doing but come on guys...take a little pride in the vehicles you sell) 2. After I pulled the bed liner out of the truck, I found a solid two inches of debris in the truck bed. Everything from dirt, rocks, sticks, bic pens, nails, rusty drill bits, and what looked like a glow stick. (Remember that thing I said earlier about taking pride in vehicles?) 3. The truck desperately needed an alignment. During the test drive I commented on the steering play and asked the salesman about it. I was told that the trucks were checked out if the mechanics felt they needed attention. I took the truck to a local shop and had the alignment done. Needless to say, it was long overdue. If anyone has a problem believing this, I can email you a pdf file of the pre and post alignment specs. So, in conclusion, if you were considering purchasing a truck from cypress auto, DON'T. And on a side note, to the individual who posted recanting the other two comments and giving cypress auto five stars, you work there. read more

Shortly after purchasing my truck Ken called me asking me to weight my truck and send him pictures of emissions complaint stickers, come to find out these are the things required to get my truck registered. These guys sold me an out of state truck without getting it smogged or registered! I paid my license and registration fees and here I am running around attempting to get this information for these guys. They must have hit a road block because now I cant get a hold of anyone in the office and no one will return my call. He bought his truck from Cypress: Indicated to me he'd never thought he would drive a Dodge. He loves his truck. He also spoke highly about the crew at Cypress. Upon his recommendation I took the time to drive up to the dealership. While at the dealership I spent a considerable amount of time talking to Lance. This guy knows his trucks. Seriously. Lance broke down the pro and cons of the trucks I was looking at. We went on a test drive so I can feel what a cummings motor has to offer. (Loved it by the way.) He was candid about what years/models to stay away from. What to look for in the years/models that I want. We went over the differences in the years. We went over the differences in the options in the different years. We went over financing. The guy was very matter of fact and direct, which I soo appreciate. He took a considerable amount of time just to talk to me, knowing I wasn't there to purchase - I was there to gain information. Yeah, I did not purchase that day. And, since that day I've read a few checkered reviews. Perhaps those individuals should have had a Pre-Purchase Inspection done. Perhaps those individuals should learn what caveat emptor means. Lance was straight-up, candid, and there was zero sales tactics/pressure. I have no reservation or hesitation about purchasing from Cypress. My negative experience is similar to others here. Bought an 03 Ford F250 from the in March 2014. Negotiated to have 'their shop' replace the ball joints, fix an oil leak and align the truck as it pulled right. Signed the sales contract and the work began. After 4 days I called to ask if it was done, and they said, "oh yeah, no one called you?" So I pick it up, drive it home and it is still pulling hard right. They have the alignment specs in the truck for me. So I drive the 40 mins back up there after calling the following week to see if they can take a look, they say, sure no problem, bring it up. I get there and they send me to the dodge dealer who did the alignment who looks at the spec sheet and says, yup, it's aligned, if it still pulls Cypress needs to fix it. So I go back and find Sam having a heated argument over a COD with the UPS guy, who I know, and who just leaves. So I talk to Sam finally. He says his mechanic is out sick and I should try to swap front wheel, could just be tire pull. If there was no mechanic, then why tell me to come up when I called? So I swap the front wheels (not them). No change. I contact them again. No response. I email them, tell them I want a recpt for the work done to my truck after the purchase. Crickets. I take it to Les Schwab, the dude there gets it lined up in 30 mins, says, sure it was in spec, but you need to drive a car to see if it is aligned...I agree. These guys don't give a rip about you, they polish up their trucks, have some mechanic somewhere give it the once over (or at least fillout some checklist) then charge top of the market prices. After I purchased, I decided I wanted different tires on the truck so they offered to order the new ones for me and give me full credit for the tires that were on it. They also offered to have my old car detailed by the same people they use at their discounted cost. I was looking for an older model diesel truck. They had such a great selection it was tough to choose one. Sam, Annie and Aaron were great. There was no pressure. They let me take the truck I was interested in to my mechanic. My mechanic was so impressed he wanted to bug it. There were a couple of small things I asked for in the same and they accommodated.
