Pretty good Chinese buffet! Pleasantly surprised eating here. Arrived Saturday around 3pm ish. Food hot and fresh. The have labels of their change out times at each food station and it was evident. Lotsss of food options. This buffet is a little heavier on seafood options but there's plenty for those who like chicken, beef, and veggie options. Sushi station seemed fresh and Habachi station active. My favorite item was the chicken meat for sweet and sour chicken. The size and breading was good! Service was attentive and prompt. Booth seating was comfortable. Ladies Bathroom clean. Noise level good as you can have a conversation without blasting music in your ears. My new favorite Asian buffet place. Buffet was about $18. It was a small buffet for the amount of patrons. It was busy for a Tuesday at lunch time. Unique item on the bar was garlic eggplant. Absolutely rude front end staff. I went there alone as my wife was out of town. I thought I would check the place out. I told them the table I was at was #17 and they claimed I was at table #9 with two adults and a child. I tried to be cordial and correct the misunderstanding. I paid for myself as I was the only one there for my party of one. I live in the area and certainly don't believe it's any kind of scam, but I certainly will never return. Update...I tried to ask for a manager multiple times. Their claim is that it is because it was a woman at the front end. The person that shared that point of view now is the same person who would not take my phone calls the first couple of times I tried to share the experience. The last phone call I had with them she claimed it was about women, she is the manager and hung up on me. Again, I just wanted a meal alone. I landed at table 17. This is a dining spot with buffet in Cary NC. I've driven by it hundreds of times. Finally had a lunch appointment that put me in that area and I chose this as where we would meet. The place is quite large and parking is great right on site. I went in was greeted and seated very quickly. And hit the buffet. The selections are extensive including sushi. I piled up a plate and went to town Tried the chicken broccoli as well as lo mein and other tasty morsels including the hot and sour soup. I liked the variety of sushi, the hot and sour soup and the self-serve ice cream (from tubs of vanilla, chocolate, chip mint, cookies and cream, and the smoothest strawberry ice cream I've had in a while). In addition to the Hibachi and usual suspects found in Chinese buffet, there was a salmon tray, crawfish, a variety of fresh fruits and a decent number of cookies/pastries for dessert. The chicken with garlic sauce was excellent. The green beans were fresh and not mushy. Most of the other dishes were fine, but nothing else stood out. The price point of $18.99 seems a dollar or two high for Chinese buffet, but I do think the variety is a plus and makes it worth it. Came here for lunch with four others. They have both booths and tables. We had a table in the back room. A server quickly asked for our drinks and they were brought promptly. A spoon and fork as well as chopsticks were provided. There were many different dishes to choose from including hot dishes, cold dishes , fruit, desserts and sushi. There was fresh ginger and wasabi available and soy sauce on the tables. The hot dishes I got were a good temperature. The food was replaced often. Everything I had was ok, just not outstanding. I was surprised at how many seafood dishes there were, which I took advantage of most of them. There were people cleaning tables and sweeping often, so it appeared pretty clean. Hand sanitizer was available. I didn't try everything, but enjoyed most of what I had. One of our group comes here often and says there's more selection at dinner and on the weekends, but the price is more. I would consider returning. Wish I could give it a 3.5 . read more

Boy has this restaurant gone downhill fast! Not only that but they've increased their prices by more than a third. It's bad when the quality goes down while the price goes up. I did not enjoy anything that I ate today. The sushi all had a weird taste and for some reason they're making the sushi with hot rice. Most everything looked like it had been on the buffet for a long time even though it was super busy and 1:00 in the afternoon. I didn't even go near the ice cream, that's a health disaster waiting to happen. Yeah $20 for a crappy lunch. This place delivers exactly what you would expect from a large Chinese buffet. Lots of options and some sushi rolls to boot. The staff was busy and polite and the ambience was all you can eat, lol. Some of my favorite dishes that I tried: chicken with mushrooms, lo mein, green beans, hibachi marinated chicken (roasted), and those delicious donuts, duh! Some of my least favorite dishes that I tried: vermicelli noodles (or whatever that other noodle dish was, it was super bland), egg rolls and rangoons were weak, and there weren't any dumplings or wonton soup (....what??!?!?!!!???!). I became victim today of a racial slur and bias with no accountability. While at the hibachi chef station, I was called "americano pedazo de mierda" which translates to "American Piece of Shit" Each member in our society working is allowed bad days at work. I honor that. What I cannot condone is being called a racial slur and then the rest of the staff uses mandarin/Cantonese to hide away from responsibility. I requested steak and chicken be made separate from the vegetables with two sauces chosen. It's allowed. When he made a mistake on the sauces, he just lost his temper. I said, hey man it's ok just make another I'll wait here. Then he called me in his natural language, "American piece of shit" translated. I took 7 years of Spanish I knew what he said and I was pissed. The front told me it was okay and they apologize to refund me my money. However when I went back to my table after lunch was complete, they put a $21 bill on it and hovered around me like I was a wanted suspect. I took offense. I run a medical device start-up. $21 is nothing. It's the principal of accountability and lawsuits have been won for millions of dollars simply telling a minority to go back to their country. Here I was being called an American Piece of Shit. Hold the owner YU ZHENG accountable for this. It's his hired staff and I tried to amicably work it out with existing personnel and nothing was done except further insults and public embrassing me. I will have my people contact YU ZHENG. If you really want a decent Chinese buffet head up to capital blvd and millbrook road intersection --there's a Chinese buffet there with 3-4 times the selection and it's actually $1 less than this place. Oh , almost forgot. Do not get ice cream for dessert. The " freezer " is more like a cooler. Not really ice cream. I think this will be the last time we eat here. This place use to be much better before COVID but never seemed to recovered. The food has been mediocre the last few times we went. Several of the servers walked around like they were annoyed we were trying to walk in the same space as them. The bathrooms were nasty!!! The boys room had pee all over the floors and the women's had over flowing trash cans in the stalls. The stall walls themselves looked like no one had cleaned them in weeks. They had spatter marks from some liquid and it looked caked on. The bathroom was also out of paper towels. The ice cream was self serve and all the hands digging down deep into the containers leaves a big question to sanitation issues because no one is wearing gloves. The biggest issue was the lack of supervision from parents letting their kids run around the restaurant unsupervised. One kid was using the ice cream scoop rinse fountain to wash his hands. Another one went up and stuck his hands in the ice chest at the sever drink station. The lid on the ice chest was left open, so the small child was able to walk right up and sticks his dirty hands right in. He then picked up the ice scoop and his sister, who was only a year or two older, tried to take it away from him which caused the scoop to drop on the nasty floor. She then picked it up and placed it right back into the ice chest...none of the servers saw this happening or made any attempt to stop the kid. We had to inform the people at the register when we paid our bill about the issue. read more

Went here for a nice date but unfortunately did not have one. The server was terrible. My boyfriend ate maybe one bite of something and didn't have an appetite after because the food was so bad. When we got the ticket I asked if it was possible to charge him less or not at all since he ate like one bite. She rudely said no and said even one plate counts as the 20$ buffet price. I personally think that's stupid considering it was one bite. Food was terrible, low quality and under seasoned. I hope this place gets shut down because i know the back of house is dirty. read more

Not very impressed... The waiter asked for what drinks we wanted before we sat down, and we got them quick. Our table had water rings from the previous guests drinks. The plates were clean but the food seemed like it was old and it wasn't that good tbh... the woman's bathroom was nightmare fuel there was a trash can full of toilet paper that was kinda stacked up onto the wall... Oh yeah, this place was incredible. They had a regular buffet, soup bar, hibachi AND fresh sushi. It was super packed for a saturday night and it was the perfect end to my evening with a friend. The shrimp, lo mein and sweet and sour chicken were amazing. It was as clean as you can really make a buffet, but it was still comfortable to eat. Food was good. But the woman's bathroom was disgusting. No toilet paper, no paper towels, pee on the seat, and in one of the stalls, someone had their menstruation and didn't flush. And put their dirty Kotex in the toilet. Horrible. I tried to tell someone that their bathroom was dirty, and they just told me "tell the boss". I couldn't find "the boss" so I just said forget about it and went to go eat. My sister then complained to another staff member, and that's when they went to clean it. It doesn't look like cleanliness of their bathrooms is their top priority though, unless you complain about it more than once. read more

I've been coming here for years and it was once my favorite Chinese buffet. Those days are long past (pre-covid), I'll never go back. They have recently changed the pricing structure mostly affecting children. A 7 year old getting a plate of chicken nuggets and French fries and then a couple pieces of fruit for dessert will now set you back $12 plus $3 for a glass of milk on Sunday night plus tip. Adult pricing isn't bad at $18, however, they have really decreased the offerings on the buffet. Much less seafood than they used to have, fewer foods overall (they replaced half of a buffet where there used to be food and now the plates go there). The sushi bar also has very little offerings when once it was a smorgasbord of variety. Total bill with tip for me + 3 kids was $80....way better meals are available nearby for that price. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The pictures in front of the urinals were covered with splatter from sneezes, trash can over flowing, and it smelled really unclean. My daughter was in the women's restroom and one of their male servers went in there to put paper towels in!! That's quite unacceptable to me. I've been trying to adopt healthier eating habits for years and I've been going to buffets fewer and fewer times per year. I saw several clean plates with food still on them and a couple kids grabbed them, then put them back in the pile...smh. I'm going to take all of this as as sign to give up on ever going back to a Chinese buffet or any buffet. However, they have cut back a lot in their offerings, closing two of the buffet bars, And, with it went many of my favorites such as the warm and cold mussels, peel and eat shrimp, the small octopus. Here's an updated, and expanded summary of the Pros and Cons: Pros: a) Great variety. b) Very good value. c) Excellent soup station. d) Good ice cream selection e) Friendly table side drink service. f) Chopsticks available. g) Clean restrooms. h) A dedicated sushi station is available. i) Pretty good seafood variety. j) Extra napkin dispensers on every table. k) High Chair friendly. L) It appears they have expanded their take out offerings to include items outside of the buffet. We're including some recent photos, and hope they help. I've been going here for lunch or dinner for 10 years. Like a lot of places, the food quality has gone down a bit. That's ok- it's a buffet... you can probably find something that works for you. That said, they massively increased prices over the pandemic. I get inflation happens. But when the price jumps over 50% AND the quality goes down, there is an issue. I haven't been to a Chinese buffet in a long time, and Hibachi China unfortunately did not inspire confidence in me to return anytime soon. None of the food stood out as enjoyable to eat for me, besides perhaps the sushi, which was only of average quality, even with my expectations set at "buffet level." I can understand why they were so busy - it's easy for families, and everyone gets to pick what they want to eat. Plus, the quantity of food is essentially unlimited. But honestly, I think my $14 could have gotten me a better quality meal, which would have been just as filling and satisfying, at many of the neighboring restaurants in the area. For 2 drinks and 2 adult buffets total came out to roughly $40. We really appreciated our server, as she was very sweet and attentive. Before we could ask for anything, she was already at our table with refills and silverware. Very impressed. Kinda dampened the mood, while trying to thank her and leaving a cash tip (paid with card). she cut us off mid sentence and pointed to the receipt saying "18%!". Not much more, but we planned on leaving $20. Instead we left $10. Food was hot and fresh, though a little worried about all the mask-less guest. Still a great experience. read more

Not sure why so many negative reviews. It's a Chinese Buffet, not the Waldorf Astoria. Place was clean. Staff friendly. No one watched or monitored my moves. They cleaned table often and refilled drinks. The food is as good as to be expected at a buffet. Some of the meat selections tasted a bit "off" to me, but perhaps that's how they prepare them. For fresh meat selections, check out the hibachi. The crab with onions was surprisingly really good. No complaints here. Had an enjoyable dining experience. read more
