I ordered takeout and will say it is a very close second to my favorite Durham spot. I ordered a pork egg roll and got a shrimp egg roll, so be careful if you have allergies. The General Tso Chicken was really good and not very spicy. The shrimp egg foo young was very fluffy and much more like an omelette than I've had at other places. The gravy was decent. Came here on a whim for some last minute lunch in between shifts and was so pleased by the food, service, and price. I ordered the lo mein dinner meal that came with rice and a spring roll. In total, I think it cost about $12.00 for so much food. The lo mein was some of the best I have ever had, and the rice had so much flavor. The spring roll was perfectly crunchy and large compared to a lot of the spring rolls I typically receive from Chinese restaurants. I really wanted to like this place. I'm from NYC, and I ordered for the first time yesterday. I have a cold so I ordered the veggie soup, general tso chicken, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious but I with they put more tofu in the soup. I ordered the same thing again today except general tso tofu. At first everything tasted fine, but I noticed as I was eating my soup that there was a bug on one of the broccoli pieces. I didn't take a photo because I just threw it away. We order takeout from here through uber eats probably once a month. Everytime the food is on point. Comes to us very hot which is amazing because we are about 30 minutes away. Quality and value is great. Flavor on point. We order many different things too. From dumplings to egg rolls. Beef and pork to chicken dishes but I have yet to be disappointed. I ordered the General Tso's chicken lunch special, an American-Chinese takeout classic. The chicken came out crispy and portions were pretty generous for a $7 lunch. The cashier didn't ask me for my rice option so I got the default fried rice instead of what I wanted, and I didn't get a chance to ask to add an egg roll in for $1 either. But regardless, quality and taste were pretty good for takeout. They've also Covid-proofed their cash register with plastic liner, which feels safe but isn't too inviting to eat in. Still, decor isn't really a big deal for Chinese takeout, and it's a slight boost for health and safety. read more

The lo mein and fried rice were really bland but the worst was the actual "sesame chicken". I don't know what was wrong with it, if undercooked or freezer burned but it did not taste, look or feel like chicken at all. Local Chinese takeout located in Cary Park with standard menu items you'd find in many other Chinese fast food restaurants. I'm originally from New York so my bar is set pretty high. I've ordered takeout from them regularly over the past 10 or so years and have been very satisfied with their recipes on a consistent basis. They are a family owned and operated establishment and are very efficient from the time you order to pickup which is usually 10 to 15 minutes. Their pricing is in line with most other restaurants and they give generous portions that yield multiple leftover opportunities enhancing overall meal value. The fact they have been around for a solid 10 years is proof that they know what they are doing. Just recently they have decided to close on Sundays. Worst customer service and very underwhelming food... I ordered scallion pancakes, crab Rangoon, pork fried rice and egg rolls. I am not from here and have been searching for decent Chinese food place since I moved here and honestly it's all been under whelming all around and this isn't an exception. We decided to try this place after a suggestion on neighborhood next door. My husband went to pick up the order and when he got home we discovered the scallion pancakes were BURNT to a crisp(see picture). I immediately called and stated that I was disappointed before even letting me finish the woman on the phone stated they weren't burnt they were perfect and that I should be happy with the food. I stated I was not happy and was sending my husband back to return them for some less burnt scallion pancakes. When my husband arrived she stated we were no longer welcomed and they would not remake them because they were "PERFECT" and proceeded to give the money back for the scallion pancakes. The egg rolls were also pretty gross. The Crab Rangoon and rice was decent. Never the less we are not going back even if we were welcomed! It's a greasy spoon with almost no seating. This is not authentic Chinese food, but if you want a fast food version of Chinese food, this place will suffice. Think shopping mall Chinese food. My brother in law went to this restaurant to get dinner for the family. The cook in the back was cleaning the grease off the wall with a push broom that he was also placing in a wok that contained hot water.
