Good Harvest is a great spot if you're going with a group. While they offer hot pot, we decided to order a couple of dry pots to share instead. Since there were so many of us, we reserved their private dining room, which came with a karaoke machine. It made the whole experience a lot of fun since we could eat, sing, and be as loud as we wanted without bothering anyone else. We got there right when they opened, so our food came out pretty quickly. After everything was served, though, we didn't really see our server much. The food was excellent--everything we ordered was really good, and if you order it spicy, they definitely mean it, so keep that in mind. Delicious! Service was quick and food was delivered to our table within 10 minutes of ordering. The lighter (pork broth?) was my favorite! We ordered plenty for the first table and they brought so much food we did not need to order again! I loved the hand-pulled noodles and enoki mushrooms. The rice cakes were soft, chewy, and delicious. If I went again I would love to try the dumplings. The fried dough was also very yummy. You won't be disappointed with anything you order here! You are able to make your own sauces at the sauce bar, which is another way to customize the flavors you get. I don't think you could go wrong here either... The restaurant started to get busier when we were finishing up, but the tables are spaced well so it never felt crowded. TL;DR - good hot pot, quality ingredients, limited selection, staff helpful but language challenges. We are always looking for new Hot Pot, so when Good Harvest came on our radar we had to try it. We are regulars at both So-Hot and Szechuan Mansion, and with 12 Ji having issues lately we hoped Good Harvest would be a new alternative for us. The biggest challenge we had was communicating with the staff. Literally nobody was fluent in English and we don't speak their language, so we were kind of stuck pointing at pictures and couldn't get questions answered. The menu was in English so we just went for it. We got the usual varieties of beef, pork, lamb and a little seafood and veggies. Everything was fresh - no complaints. And the broth was good. All in all a solid experience. But with 1/2 the ingredient selection of So-Hot it's probably not a place we will go to often. read more

My second time here, the food is pretty good, the first time im trying them is when I'm in Brooklyn, the service is OK, the ambience is pretty clean, they play music around the dining room and most of them are Chinese songs, I took away. This is our go to all you can eat hot pot places in the triangle area. If you go during lunch, it's about $5 cheaper, but there are fewer topping options. We usually get the split hot pot with the bone broth and the spicy broth (level 3). There is a sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauces, and it is free of charge. You order everything by selecting what you want on the menu. After your first round, you'll need to ask for another menu to place another order. Most of the time, we enjoy dining here, but it's a hit or miss. Sometimes the service is fast and sometimes it's slow. Sometimes, the broths are flavorful, and sometimes, they're not. There have been several occasions where our hot pot ingredients are not so fresh. I love hot pot. There are several in town but Good Harvest gives more choices than some of the other places. Seating is also a bit more comfortable as it is more spacious than one of the popular spots in town. Ventilation is better also since it can get pretty steamy & warm with all those hot pots going at the same time. Both the pork bone broth and the mala broth are excellent. For a hotpot place in an area with not a huge Asian population I have to give this place props. Plus the price you can't beat for an all you can eat lunch. Woah man -- this place is incredible! In fairness, I've only ever done hotpot once before in SF, but this place really knocked it out of the park for us. They have an All You Can Eat ordering option!! The setting is trendy and upscale, they have tables of all sizes, and service was on point even on a busy Friday night. By the way, make reservations. I haven't seen a waiting room so busy for any place this nice in a while. Oh - fail though -- their liquor license had lapsed? The host offered for us to grab a drink at the bar while they readied our table, but once seated I noticed a distinct lack of alcohol. He explained that our options were juice, juice, or other juice. That said, that juice turned out to be delicious, and was an excellent cooling accompaniment to our spicy hotpot. My friends and I ordered a ton of veggies and meats, especially adventurous meats, and everything was incredible! If you've never done hotpot before, it's Chinese fondue where you cook your own food, but the broth is WAY better than boring broth. You also need to go to the sauce bar and mix you up a bowl of awesome to put your cooked food into. I recommend garlic, cilantro, peanuts, chili paste, sesame oil, and soy sauce. This really took the food to another level. There's the natural tension as everyone figures out how to cook all the food and when to go in for the grab, but everyone settles in and it turns into a fun group event. Also, while I love spicy food, the broth was SUPER spicy, even though we only got medium spice. This might have been the main cause of my disappointment, because I wasn't able to enjoy the food as much as I could've if it hadn't been so spicy and made me feel a bit sick afterwards. I am happy to see the positive changes! There is now an AYCE (All You Can Eat) option for dinner/lunch! Dinner runs you about $25/person which is worth the price! There is a 1 hour and 45 minute time limit but I understand. There are a lot of meat and veggie options which was mind-blowing​. We went with the half and half broth. One was a milky broth and the other was a spicy broth. It was a lot more flavorful​ this time around as well. The spicy broth was way too hot for my likings, so you may want to avoid it. The freshly pulled noodles were awesome! Note: You're not given rice but it's a good thing! You will be able to eat more. The customer service has improved tremendously! I've been to many hot pot restaurants before, perks of having lived in Las Vegas. Though the service was friendly at this location, their menu was pretty confusing and some of the employees do not speak much English so unfortunately I couldn't get the clarification I needed. The food in itself is good but it is pretty pricey for the amount of food you receive. Basically you order a broth or a combo and order meats/sides a la carte. We ended up spending about $80 for lunch for 2 people. Pretty expensive for a lunch. They definitely need to work on their menu because the confusion is pretty evident in the other reviews that I have read about this place. My recommendation is to try it out, especially if you've never tried the hot pot experience before but definitely read some reviews about how to go about the whole experience and I recommend going with a group of 4 or more people. It's a family style meal for sure and the more the merrier. The red broth is pretty spicy so mix it up by getting the Yin Yang option so you have the non-spicy broth too. I'll list some recommendations below: 1) Yin Yang Broth option. I spooned out the dried red peppers when it came to the table to lessen the spice. 2) Order some raw oysters and shrimp paste to cook in your broth. Yum! 3) Order lots of veggies to add to your broth. Especially the chrysanthemum leaves. Plus when all the good stuff has cooked you'll be left with some very flavorful broth. 4) Go get your sauces from the sauce bar. The Chinese BBQ sauce is a staple. But it's good to have a side of the soy sauce with vinegar. 5) Take some soup broth home after the whole experience. They'll provide a to go container and it's a great broth to eat with some rice. 6) Best to do in the winter or when the weather cools down. I remember sweating over a hot pot at home and when it's super cold outside, there's nothing I'd rather eat. Give it a try. Yeah, it's pricey but sometimes you have to treat yourself. Such a great first experience at Good Harvest! Came in yesterday with a large party and we were seated in one of the VIP rooms. We LOVED how the room had karaoke and it really added to our overall experience. Service was super friendly and fast, and the place itself has a great atmosphere. In terms of the hot pot it was amazing! The quality of meat that we received was excellent, the vegetables fresh, and the noodles delicious. We especially loved the hand pulled noodles that had an amazing flavor and texture. Their menu is extensive with loads of options to add to the broth. We also loved that they had a vegetarian broth for our friend! Do be warned that the spicy chili IS SPICY, from someone who can really handle her spice.
