Went with ramen Tokonstu my favorite, i swear it looks so massive in their bowls lol. Did the dinner special also with the rainbow roll and the dynamite roll. Took the ramen home and ate the rolls. I had a beer and that sent me to the moon lol i don't remember what my sister ordered hut it had a blooming flower of crab meat that look like cheese. Mom went a skillet, it was livid! Lol took about half an hour for it to be safe for her to eat. Cute presentation but order some side stuff whole it cools. Couldn't do dessert this time, due to my dieting i have trained my body to eat very little and high protein meals. Today was my cheat day. On the path of Keto. Sht works just trust the process. Guaranteed -1-2lbs a weeks 0-50 carbs a day n it just falls off by itself. 2+ if working out. I will be coming back later since im working more now that i can and om usually around here after work. I can just eat just the fish n side salads it be bueno. ***Would love to see a keto roll like; substitute the rice for riced cauliflower. The madam that had use was nice n attentive. very pleasant. I just ordered two of the B-52 Tempura rolls. They are advertised as having salmon, yellowtail, and whitefish in them. One roll barely has any fish (a tiny amount of salmon) and the second roll has a bit more with one type of white fish included. I do not see two white fishes (looks like it's missing yellowtail). Regardless, almost no fish and a huge roll of rice. Rip off, not worth it. read more

I driven by Yokohama so much and finally decided to pick up a to go order on the way home one day inside smelled amazing. The seating is booths and tables and the lighting is very dark, which goes a romantic date vibe. I ordered with a lady. She the Ramen and I got the sushi rolls. Everything took about 20 minutes and I was headed home. When I opened the bag, everything smelled so good especially the Tonkatsu broth it was rich in flavor and pouring it over the ramen was so satisfying. Honestly ate the whole thing its was that good. The sushi was good but did get a couple stringy fatty pieces in the tuna roll. Overall, definitely would try them again. read more

We always saw the signs outside but had never tried before. So sad we had taken so long to try. This was some of the best sushi I have had in Tampa area. We had a ramen bowl and 4 different sushi rolls. The roll that had the crunchy salmon on top was unique and so good. My favorite that night. That crispy salmon on top added the right saltiness to the sushi rolls underneath. We were fighting for the right to have the last salmon pieces at the end. The other rolls were very good as well. We had one with scallop that was delicate and creamy and so good. The one I looked forward to with 3 types of tuna was #4 that night and still good. Presentation was great and you got a good amount for your money. Their 2 roll special is the way to go. Great deal. My son liked the ramen and cleaned his bowl. The only downside was it was pretty dark inside. I could not read the menu with the dim lights. But other than that Sushi was A++. read more

I found this place on Yelp when I was craving sushi. I was so surprised that they and Brandon open until 2 AM! I placed a carryout order online, which was super easy. Going inside made me regret placing a pick up order because the inside has such a beautiful vibe. They have so many Bogo deals and everything was amazingly priced. I got the mango roll and the shrimp tempura roll and both were really good. I also got the yellow tail which was delicious. The crab raccoon and dumplings were really good. I have been looking forward to this place for a bit. I must say that I'm a bit underwhelmed by the experience. I was immediately greeted upon entry and taken to a booth. I was literally the only customer in the place. I asked for a very specific type of sushi, which they did have. I'm a bit disappointed. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen with the chashu pork. Japanese pride their food with exceptional presentation. As you see in the photo, it was quite bland. The ajitsuke egg was oddly shaped. Although cooked fairly well, it fell short of the way it should be prepared. The bowl lacked a couple of things like some veggies. If it had any shitake mushrooms I don't recall seeing them. There were 2 strips of bamboo. Lots of scallions and 2 pieces of imitation crab. The chashu pork was nicely charred and was probably the best part. The broth was a little on the sweet side with a little smokiness. With tip it was $16.00. The atmosphere was a bit boring. A mix of hard rock and Japanese ballads. Inside it's a bit dark with the lacquered furniture. I don't think I'd come back as there are a few better ramen shops around. read more

Located in a strip mall at the corner of Kings ave and Lumsden rd in Brandon, Yokohama is the best place I've found to get high quality sushi and Japanese food in the area. It is a small restaurant with booths and tables. There are tables pushed together to accommodate a large party of 8. It is clear that an effort was put into the decor and lighting. The server was attentive and friendly. Most importantly, the food was excellent. All of the food is reasonably priced. We ordered two sushi rolls which were outstanding. The stir fry chicken udon was so good, I didn't want to stop eating it after I felt full. For late night eats without all the noise, this is the best place on the area. I really like the ambiance. They had Japanese music playing and they have booths with lanterns. It is dark. We liked it but it would be nice if they had those little portable lamps so you can see the menu. The service was very good and we thought the prices were pretty good as well. I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen. It was okay. It was pretty spicy and the broth was mid. I think I would have preferred not to have the crab in it but I tried it as is. Uber Eats said they were only given 1 bag for us, 2 for the another delivery - received polite response and who to get in touch with to contest. Chicken fried rice was bland hard chunks, 2 adults and 2 children did not like or eat it. Miso bowl was nothing special, felt like it could have been made at home with cheap ramen noodles, fake crab, and 3 small strips of pork belly (?). Spring rolls were decent but barely warm. We visited on Sunday for dinner and were blown away by the quality of the food and the incredible value. First of all, the sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Each piece had a delicate balance of flavors and textures, and the attention to detail was evident in every bite. We got 4 rolls, my favorite were the Eel and Volcano. The Rock star and Spicey girl were good to try, but I wouldn't get them again. They offer a sushi dinner special at a great price, if you get 2 rolls (from 1 - 73 plenty of options to choose from) it comes with soup. The Tonkotsu ramen was also outstanding. The broth had a rich depth of flavor and was perfectly balanced with the other ingredients. The noodles had a wonderful chewiness to them and were the perfect texture to soak up the broth. The pork meat was thick and delicious. Beyond the food, the service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, he explained to us the dinner specials, made sure our drinks were always filled and checking in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The restaurant itself was also beautifully decorated and had a cozy atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. From the fresh, delicious food to the attentive service and beautiful atmosphere, everything was truly exceptional. One thing I'm not a huge fan of it they don't open for lunch, otherwise I would be able to go much more often, but they do open late night to 2am apparently. read more
