It is a pretty popular place during that time so it might not be a bad idea to call ahead which it appeared some had done wisely. I was driving home last night looking for somewhere that would be about 20 mins from where I was at the time and on a whim found this place on Yelp and decided to preorder it and pick it up so I could keep driving. The man on the phone was very polite and when I picked up the phone was super friendly! I still had over an hour left in my drive and when I got home it was still decently warm and looked delicious! The extra teriyaki sauce I ordered had pretty much settled down to the rice (which is why my white rice looks brown) but that gave the rice a great flavor! And I had gotten an extra teriyaki sauce and yum yum sauce on the side so it was easy to enjoy the more saucy feel still. The gyoza was delicious and packed well. They have changed a few things since my last visit. They have added a few tables. This is still more of a take out spot. I was greeted pleasantly and it wasn't crowded when I entered. The crowd started to come in after I placed my order. Great timing! Since there really isn't much room to stand or sit, I noticed some people go outside as they ordered. You could pump some gas while you wait. There isn't a public bathroom. Drinks are in a cooler to the right as you walk in. If you want a drink in a cup, you have to order something like a bubble tea drink. I ordered a steak and shrimp combo. The steak was cooked as I requested. The shrimp were a very good size. The vegetables were so tasty. I chose a salad versus the soup. It is a fancy box of lettuce. I've tried their soup before and it is really good so I wanted to switch it up. I asked for ginger dressing with my salad, but she gave me ranch. I didn't mind because either was ok, but next time I'll check. They have lunch specials. There is a big sign to the right of the counter. Take a look at the lunch menu if you stop in for lunch. Their takeout is well packaged. I always drive by this place and never looked at it twice. Just seemed ok. After finally deciding to give it a try, I learned their food is actually very delicious. Their entrees are where it's at. Thier hibachi and udon plates are very tasty. Their gyoza was delicious too! But there was a few let downs. I'm not picky and love to try everything once, but the shumai just wasn't very good. And when it comes to their drinks, I felt like they were watered down, and definitely wouldn't go back for the bubble tea. Could of been my drinks and or something but was disappointed. I have been so busy this week, that I have not been able to update. This is over due and shame on me. It was good! A moderate size portion, perfectly cooked and seasoned proteins and a bunch of Asian deliciousness. Price wise, this was more expensive than most Japanese takeout, but given the recent staff shortages and inflation it was within reason. One less star because the server was wearing his mask as a chin warmer. COVID is still out there. Be careful and I will be back! read more

I placed an order for 2 shrimp hibachI plates each with fried rice and teriyaki sauce. When I received my order one of my orders had fried rice while the other had white rice. I went to the restaurant to have this corrected and he stated my receipt expressed that I wanted white rice. There is a dollar upcharge for both fried rice and teriyaki. I explained the price would not be $34.00 for white rice and no where on my receipt does it say white rice. The manager refused to correct the restaurants mistake. The food is ok but the customer service and the incompetence of there employees will send me to jail. I do not recommend! read more

I've tried Hibachi Grill and Bubble Tea twice now. Teriyaki chicken is a favorite of mine so its the only thing I've tried, but I was impressed! The chicken was grilled, seasoned, and sauced perfectly. I wouldn't have minded more veggies because they were great too. A unique option they offer is the choice of brown rice. I wasn't sure what to expect when I opted for the brown rice but I really enjoyed it. It wasn't like the normal fried rice you may be used to with veggies, but it was nice to have the choice for a 'healthier' option. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the price. It was more expensive than most places I've been that offer the same menu, but I'll still be back. read more

Decided to say hello to HIbachi which is located in the midst of a mother's dream off of Wendover. The whole family can have whatever they like from pizza, chicken, hibachi and a Fanta slushee. Grandma can even play her numbers in one great stop. I was greeted by some nice young ladies. I ordered the vegetable yakisoba (thinner noodles) and shrimp hibachi. The food was done in about 10 minutes which was great considering there was decent traffic. The yakisoba was fine. Nothing special, but no complaints. The shrimp were cooked perfectly but the hibachi vegetables were simply over cooked and could have used a lighter hand on the soy sauce. The rice which was an extra $1.00 to get fried was a step away from mush which was a surprise. This is a new establishment that definitely has some room for improvement, but I'm hopeful that they will do well in this great location. read more

Eh. Ate lunch here for the first time recently. The guy at the register didn't seem to happy to be there. The food was mediocre at best. And they were extremely stingy with sauce. Couldn't get one white sauce and one hot sauce without paying extra 50 cent. Even after paying extra hot sauce was not in my bag. And the white sauce I received was literally only half full. Food is great and so flavorful definitely a different take on hibachi.. we did have an interesting interaction with one of the owners.. when we ordered we asked the cashier for water cups and he obliged but then the owner walked in and went to the back and started yelling at him and then she came out and proceeded to tell us that we can't have water cups next time. Who knew Japanese takeout in a gas station plaza could be this tasty?! I've been twice now to confirm and both times I got the Chicken Fried Rice. My personal opinion: I loved the grill vegetables but the Hibachi plate of shrimp and steak was ok. My shrimp were very over cooked. The white sauce which could make or break Hibachi food was tooooo sweet! I also ordered the Udon noodles with shrimp just weren't my thing... Now the fried calamari was really good but for the price small in portion. Food was hot and fresh which was a plus but just wasn't for me. The strawberry bubble tea tasted like pepto bismol and the boba pearls were so nasty. The food was so greasy, so nasty and was hard to eat.
