Everything about our visit to Moshi Moshi was a 10/10. The atmosphere was fire -- super chill, cozy, and just an all-around good vibe. Such a great spot to hang out, relax, and enjoy your drink. My husband and son both said their boba was excellent. Eli had the Oreo Twister and loved it, and bae had peach with mango popping boba, which he really enjoyed. We also tried the taiyaki (fish-shaped fried pastry) and those were so good -- crispy outside, soft inside, and full of flavor. And the service? INCREDIBLE. My first impression of this place as I was getting out of the car was the owner coming outside to jam a 2x4 under the door to prop it open. This tells me you're cheap. While 80 isn't all that hot for the South, it's gonna be hotter inside, especially with all the equipment giving off heat. And it was. Turn the AC on! Along with letting in the heat and road dust from the busy street only a few feet away, warmer weather also brings bugs. A place with lots of sweet stuff is gonna attract flies, bees, and wasps. And no AC is a shitty way to treat your employees. The next thing I noticed walking in was the excessively loud music. I had to raise my voice just to place my order! Again, not great for your employees to be assaulted by noise while trying to work and help customers. There were a few customers ahead of me but I still think 15 minutes is too long for a drink with 3 ingredients. There were 3 people working there. It was also not competitive in price with other places in Greensboro. There are a lot of other boba places to choose from. I will pick another one next time. read more

I'm happy to see Moshi Moshi going strong with some changes since 2020. Their menu is robust with options. I enjoyed the Black Lava, though I think it would've been better as a frapp-type drink. For sure next time I'll order it as a frozen blended treat. The crème brûlée touch to it was cool, and tasty too. Their service is great and it's cozy inside. This is a small shop on Spring Garden St that does not look like its a busy place, but once you step inside you will feel otherwise. There is a lot of street parking, but there is a parking lot to the right of the building. The parking lot is slightly more convenient. The decor in the cafe is super cute. From the impressive needlework on the wall to the anime artwork in the adjacent wall. The plants liven up the interior. I think this makes for a great take out place, but there are a few tables in the lower area to sit and enjoy your drink. The upper room has a great spot to hang with a few friends. There are plenty of places to take a few selfies. I like the menu on the huge mounted monitor to the right of the counter. I wasn't familiar with some of the flavors and the cashier was very helpful in my decision. I'm not the adventurous type so I stuck with the a strawberry sparkling black tea with boba. I had the option to add sugar, but I chose to exclude it. It tasted just fine without it. The Oreo waffle was hot off the grill. Yummy! My friend ordered a Spirited Away and she loved it. Love it! After finding this cute place, searching boba teas on Yelp, I had to come. They offer a variety of different options to make the perfect tea. I decided to get the passion fruit black tea with the strawberry pop. I must say the stawberry pop was a nice soft pop in my mouth with juice that enhanced the flavor of the tea. Also, I ordered the Taiyakis one with Nutella and one with oreo. They both were cooked to order and filled a warm cream inside with favors I picked. Only the second boba tea location I've visited in NC and both and both have been good. This one, however, seems to be a winner. Aside from their rather extensive drink selection, the decor and ambiance of this location is on point! There is a parking lot next to it that has sufficient parking. The location is right on the corner and isn't real noticeable. We had a large party of about 10 and discovered a room in the back that allowed for all of us to chill and enjoy our drinks. There are board games available to play. A couple do the kids didn't like their drinks so their father asked if they could try something different. A young man (I want to say his name may have been Christopher) was so kind and offered to give them a new selection. They enjoyed their new drinks and Dad was happy his money hadn't been wasted. Got the red bean taiyaki, if you never had it its basically a fish shaped waffle with a filling of your choice. It was good but the person who made it def didn't leave it in the pan long enough since the outside wasn't crisp like how its supposed to be. There is a bubble in my fish! That was my first reaction when I bit into the hot, sweet smelling brown sugar fish shaped waffle. Yum! Although I have been to two bubble tea places before, I never ordered one because the smell of the stores always turned me off of ordering anything. Moshi Moshi is different than that. I used to visit here when it was a former business and this is a much better improvement. My intention was to take my daughter attending UNCG there who loves bubble tea. With the bad weather driving conditions here yesterday she did not want to come so bummer her bed I got to have a drink and the fish waffle. And I hope no one's offended by me calling and fish waffle because why have a waffle shaped like a fish if you're not gonna name of the fish waffle? So I asked a lot of customers there because the place was very crowded (as I am not surprised because it is near the UNCG campus) as to what they recommend I should order. I got a lot of recommendations and none of them the same and even from my daughter. So me as usual I ignore everything and I just ask the cashier taking my order. She recommended something that I did love all across-the-board and I think her and I'm sorry I don't know her name. But it was the black coffee and the brown sugar waffle fish. Love love love. I will admit I cannot say I will commit to drinking bubble tea in the future but not because anything was wrong with it it's just that the bubbles are too chewy for me to eat kind of like a soft gummy bears but I have a TMJ problem. Instead my husband and I and our friends ordered just boba. We got two team rockets and one passion fruit boba. Passion fruit boba was good not my favorite one but definitely still good. Moshi moshi came highly recommended from a friend who has tried boba all over the triad. TLDR- didn't love it but would give it one more shot. Maybe boba tea just isn't my thing, but it left a lot to be desired. As far as the food went- I didn't like the tea at all. I drank maybe a quarter of it unfortunately. I got a seasonal special "saitama" which is a peach green tea lemonade with lychee jellies. I typically love those flavors in drinks but this wasn't it. It left a very perfume-y aftertaste that I could not shake. The boba and lychee jellies also weren't my thing. I would give this place another chance because they did have some interesting coffee drinks and things. Maybe that's more up my alley? As far as the dessert goes, I got the taiyaki which is like a stuffed waffle with your choice of filling. I got the brown sugar boba and the custard. I thought they were okay (4/5) but I probably wouldn't get them again. Not sure they were worth the price. If I had to choose between one of those flavors, the custard was better. The place had a cute vibe but really lacked seating. There were only 3 tables in the whole place, but lots of "bar" type seats which weren't really conducive to chatting or visiting with friends, or even working on a laptop. The workers were all friendly and seemed to keep up with the very busy shop. Always a line at the register and it seemed like the shop had a revolving door of people coming in and out. Coming from Southern California which has an abundance of boba shops I was really craving a boba fix out here in NC. First of all, Moshi Moshi is SO CUTE. I love the interior decor and the IG-worthy swing where you can take pics with your drink of choice. I've really gotten into milk teas lately so I'm usually a floral Milk Tea type of person (think rose, lavender etc.) but since they didn't have any of those flavors I decided to try the Honeydew. I wasn't really a fan though. It was way too sweet and a little too artificial for my liking. My dad got the Strawberry Lychee tea and I actually preferred that one much more. It was a refreshing fruit tea that tasted, well, fresh. In addition to our drinks we got the Mango Bingsu which I liked. It did have a taste of coconut to it even though it wasn't listed on the menu (we both don't really care for coconut). However, the flavor wasn't too overwhemling to where I couldn't enjoy it. BEST bubble tea in Greensboro. There are so many options to choose from: fruity, coffee, milk tea, frozen... and you can customize! Their brown sugar boba is always fresh... soft and chewy not stale or hardened like others I've had. The owners are incredible. I was searching for a boba tea place in Winston Salem and when I saw the five star rating I decided to go...not realizing that it was in Greensboro. Luckily it was on the way. The inside is extremely cute with photo op areas. If you like anime, you will like some of the decor but it's not overwhelmingly anime. The workers are nice enough. A really solid boba joint that is good quality and offers many more goodies! It's on a corner of a semi-busy road nestled on the outskirts of a plaza area with some restaurants scattered nearby. Their menu includes the classic boba drinks, but also has rolled ice cream, bubble waffles, snow ice and more! They stay on top of various trends and do a wonderful job at adding anesthetics that are Instagram-worthy. I ended up getting the Oreo Milk Twister just because I was feeling a need for a sugar spike. It came out with a nice drizzle of marble cream and crushed oreos. Late review but we come here every now and then for a nice outing to get boba and treats. My family and I were so excited to try this place! Inside is decorated nicely with a swing wall and a back room with LED lights and One Piece decor. BIG One Piece fans here! When I saw they were doing anime themed drinks had to visit again! When I first walked in I saw the cute attack on titan decor they had going on, it was a nice little spot to take pictures! I got Mikasa and it was very strong definitely not for me. If your looking for something that has a very strong coffee taste with some notes of sweetness and mint this is perfect! but I did love the the tapioca this time! It had the perfect chewiness! I also did run into a mistake where I didn't double check the screen for my order and make sure my order was correct. Which led to the first time I ordered the Mikasa very bitter since it was 25% instead of 125%. Though after finishing and feeling as if it was too bitter I finally checked the receipt (which I should've done from the start when I thought it was too strong) and saw that there was only 25%. Thought the level of bitterness was common for viet style coffee. But I believe it was the owner that helped me out and gave me 50% off for a new one! He was extremely sweet and was explaining their policy has gotten strict with customers disliking their drinks and asking for a new one/refund. Accompanying my wife on a Yelp! Event to Moshi back in January was such a pleasing experience. Not only did it open my eyes to what exactly the rage behind this thing called Boba Tea is but it confirms that sometimes going out of your comfort zone can be a positive learning experience.
