This is one of my favorite boba tea spots. Not only do they serve boba, but with this hot weather I do recommend trying their iced fruit teas to stay hydrated. My favorite boba is the Thai milk tea! They have small bites to eat as well. I've had the spring rolls and they are delicious. I will say sometimes you will need to be patient because they can get busy but they are always kind and keep pushing the food and drinks out. They have a good amount of seating including the high top seating looking out to market street had plenty of tables deeper in. They have games for in house play it adds a homey feel. read more

Lovely store with friendly decor and chilled out interior! They had many boards games inside, a chalk wall and some basic Halloween decor. I love how relaxed everything was and it wasn't a mad rush neither in the kitchen nor outside. I Had the taro milk tea and double the love and they were wonderfully refreshing. A delicious spot hiding right off of Market St here in Greensboro! We stopped by Master Tea recently for an afternoon lunch and were very pleasantly impressed!! We opted for two different Banh Mi's, two snacks, and some teas. For the Banh mi's we went with the Bulgogi Beef and Lemongrass Chicken and both were phenomenal. Tons of flavor in the meats themselves and fresh toppings and a good amount of spice from the jalapeños, although I think there could have been a few more to balance the sweetness. We will definitely be ordering these both again! For the snacks, we got the popcorn chicken and corn nuggets! Both were fried to perfection and came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Both were tasty and came out hot and fresh as well, will most likely order these again as well. Lastly I went with the Sunset-nada Fruit Tea, a combo of Raspberry tea and a Mango smoothie. This was absolutely wonderful. The perfect drink to cool off in this hot summer heat. We will hands down be coming back to give all of these and more a try!! read more

I have fallen for the TERAKIYI sandwhich with fresh veggies! Literally eat it 3 times a week. It's so fresh and different. My daughters are obsessed with boba and most weekends we check out one of the local spots to see get their tapioca pearl fix. Master Tea Cafe is a vibe! I love the atmosphere and space they have set up. It's a small unassuming store front off of Market Street but when you walk in it opens up and you feel like you're some place totally different. They have a wide variety of boba drinks, smoothies and fruit teas. My daughter gave the brown sugar boba 5 stars. They also have a food menu which I haven't tried yet but it's on my list to come back and get a few snacky snacks. Bahn Mi and spring rolls sounds oh so tasty! The service is overall good. However, this place can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a bit for your order. You don't have to be bored waiting though. There's a giant chalkboard wall that you can doodle on while you wait. grab a game off the shelf and play with your friends to burn a little time, or take some pictures for your IG. The drinks are good, the food is pretty good but overall I don't think it's great, in my opinion. I used to come here a lot when MasterTea first opened in 2018 and drinks were consistent and staff was informative of their menu, but now it's an occasion for me to come visit, and I've noticed drinks are inconsistent at times. I went w/ friends and we all ordered our drinks and banh mi and the wait took a while; probably up to 25 mins. We were fine waiting due to only 2 people working at that time and they told my friend that they had to prep their bulgogi banh mi, so I appreciate the heads up on the communication. They also have plenty of board games so that's a plus! I still like how they have their huge chalk board to write/draw whatever you want and personally I think it adds character to their shop, but the rest of the decor has always been the same and it's kind of over decorated. read more

The person taking my order was as kind as can be: asked if mayo was ok on my vegetarian sandwich (yep!) and I thought that was very considerate! Bubble tea came out first: whew sugar. Even with 25% I was blown away a bit. Otherwise, nice flavor and tons of chewy boba. The sandwich was good, albeit petite. The menu said vegetarian ham but this was definitely nice tofu, fried, with a normal amount of mayo and maybe some hoisin sauce. A small amount of tofu, I will say. The carrot daikon mix was light, a few cucumber slivers and maybe a hint of a jalapeño. Could have definitely used more spice. The bread was lovely: exactly the crunch and chew you want with banh mi bread. All in all a nice quick lunch, but don't go super hungry! The atmosphere is cute and insta worthy. I came backkkkk. Lol in my last review I mentioned coming to catch up on work and trying out a few bites. I did just that. I tried the Caramel Milk Tea with boba. The image is of a regular size cup of this flavor. I thought it was going to be the same size as the last one I had but I'm guessing this may be a special flavor. Anyway, it was delicious. The bites I picked up were popcorn chicken, fried shrimp egg rolls, and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. The service was great, I'm not sure if this is a family business but the same folks were working on this visit as well. The ambiance is pretty relaxing. So when I have to run errands, I've been finding myself needing to get a milk tea with boba. This is my second time at this spot and I didn't stay I just got it to go. But it's cute and the caramel milk tea is so good. I love a lot of boba and they give me plenty. I only waited like 1 minute for my milk tea and I noticed the other items on the menu. I think it would a perfect place to come to if you're looking for a quiet, atmosphere to get work done or have a chill conversation. We got two combos: cold cuts banh mi, bulgogi banh mi, taro milk tea with pearls, milk tea with herbal jelly, spring roll, and fried egg roll. The taro milk tea is made with taro powder, but we were craving taro, so it was still good. The pearls are good and had a nice bite. The milk tea was good and the jelly was similar to kung fu tea. The cold cuts banh mi was good. Not my favorite, but my fiance liked it a lot. The bulgogi banh mi was juicy and the meat itself was super soft. The spring roll came with peanut sauce and was super refreshing. The peanut sauce was addictingly good. The egg roll was heavy and very fried. I didn't like it as much. Overall, good food! They are prob the masters of North Carolina is why they can charge such expensive prices. One thing that amazed me when I got here was the inside of this place. It was so delightful. Im usually not a fan of walls that have so much decor but they have a lot of decor that expresses life and love. I mean no wall here is safe. Not a single wall is left blank and even the bathroom door is decorated. Feels like a Christmas-y vibe. Great place to take pictures and it's spacious. On the other hand, I ordered the Master's favorite, which contained orange slices and other chewy components and the base was passionfruit. Not that bad. I have been to this place a few times and it was pretty great when it first opened. I think it's gone a bit downhill since they opened. Last night I ordered the peach perfect and it had no garnishes (it's supposed to have chia seeds, lime and mint). It was just the tea and peach slices. The tea tasted syrupy and overly sweet. I also had a to go order: two sandwiches, fries, and egg rolls. It was a 35 minute wait and I was the first food order. When my food came up, it was missing the egg rolls. Another 6 minutes of waiting for that. Was the food worth a 41 minute wait? No not really - everything tasted okay but I wasn't blown away. Why am I giving them three stars? Because in the past it was much better and the food was edible. Would I go back? Not under my suggestion, if someone else wanted to go I'd join them. read more

I love MT! This is a great place to grab a tea, coffee, or food, and just hang out for a bit. There are games and books to read, play, and enjoy while you sit. Inside is comfortable and inviting. All there menu items I've tried have been excellent! Granted, you will pay a pretty-penny for stuff, but taking the totality of the experience, it's worth it for me. They offer a banh mi combo, with the sandwich, a fresh or fried spring roll and a drink for under $10! You have a multitude of banh mi sandwiches to choose from. In addition, the have a large appetizer menu, including steak & cheese egg rolls, and offer bowls as well. The drinks coming out look delicious, as well, however, I'm not a boba tea fan, so I opt out on those. But if you are able to find a parking space in the smallish lot, you will be glad that you stopped by. Whether you have a bubble tea craving, are in search of an inexpensive meal, or just want a break from run-of-the-mill coffee shops, Master Tea has a lot to offer. As the name implies, beverages are the main attraction here, and Master Tea has plenty to choose from. You can opt for milk teas (with boba), fruit teas, hot teas, matchas, coffees, or smoothies. The food side of the menu is more limited but not without appeal. There are seven different types of banh mi sandwiches as well as a few entrees (vermicelli bowls and pho) and snacks that range from the expected (egg rolls and spring rolls) to the surprising (crispy quail and kimchi fries). For our first visit, my wife and I went with a taro milk tea and lemongrass banh mi and a Thai tea and a bulgogi banh mi, respectively. The teas were perhaps the best milk teas in town: smooth and refreshing without any graininess or unpleasantly artificial flavors. The sandwiches were good but not great. The sauces delivered the expected flavors and the meats were none too tough, but both banh mi were a bit small and may rankle sticklers for authenticity. Our food and drinks arrived relatively quickly, and our server was helpful and patient while we ordered. The pricing proved quite budget-friendly though not the outright steal that Banh Mi Saigon Bakery is. Sandwiches were $5 a piece while the teas were $3.75 for a regular (16 ounce) and $5.25 for a large (24 ounce). While Saigon Bakery may off both lower prices and more sandwiches to choose from Master Tea has a distinct advantage in the décor department. From a well-scribbled chalkboard wall to repurposed doors and shutters as ornaments to blue and yellow hues, Master Tea offers a bright and clean environment that is fun and relaxing without being ostentatious. The establishment is also deceptively spacious. Good service, tasty food, and affordable prices make Master Tea a worthwhile lunch/tea/snack option for all but the most steadfast purists. I am from NY and have also had bubble tea from the original place in taiwan. I've had bubble tea from ny, LA, Bay Area, Calgary, DC, Atlanta, Tampa, etc. I consider myself a boba snob. The bubble/pearls at Master Tea are wildly inconsistent. To be honest I've had decent Boba here which I would rate at 6/10 when it is good but at least half the time the boba is terrible. When the boba is substandard the consistency is sometimes very mushy + over cooked and other times undercooked + firm + rubbery. I almost never waste food on especially an expensive $5 drink but I just could not chew anymore of the nasty pearls as demonstrated in the pic. Drink itself was sweet but decent and edible. To be fair the non tapioca food (ie banh mi and wings are pretty good) and the service especially for drinks is very fast. The banh mi and wings take awhile to be served but I'm ok w that Bec they're making it to order and the quality is good. But they need to learn what good boba is (go to flushing ny or kung fu tea in any metropolis) + have better quality control. For example, sample the boba each day at diff times of the day to confirm it's of good quality. If it's bad boba then DON'T serve it; I understand they don't want to waste money but it's not right to serve TERRIBLE boba and charge $5 for a regular milk tea boba. I would highly recommend asking for 2-3 boba/ bubbles before purchasing to confirm they are good that day before spending the money. If it was $1-2 a cup I would take a chance but for $5 it's gotta be decent. read more

I thought it was pretty good overall, though the boba pearls themselves were slightly too soft so they kept getting stuck to one another which made it difficult to drink with a straw. Since this was my first time in, I wasn't sure how sweet they make their milk teas so I opted for 75% sweetness, but next time I'd try 50% since it was still a little too sweet for me. They seem to have a good variety of fruit teas and some hot teas, as well as a food and dessert menu. I'd probably give the tea a 3.5 if I could, but the atmosphere and friendly staff bump it to 4 stars. I'd definitely return if I happen to be in the area again. read more

This is usually my first stop when I visit the GSO area. Expect a wait time of 30-40 minutes for your drink, maybe an hour on their busy days. I did have a bad experience with one of the employees during my first few visits--I ordered an avocado smoothie thinking that boba was included with the order automatically. But later, I found out that it was an extra $0.50 for boba to be included, which was no problem so I tried to pay for the fee to get boba included with the drink but was denied because amount was too small to be using a card as a payment. I understood and politely waited for my drink. My drink was delivered by a male employee which I now presume was a relative of the owners from the way he acted...scolded my sister and I that we should read the menu and said that he included the boba for free for the avocado smoothie and that he's not going to do it next time and that we should read the menu and make sure to request it next. Did not have time to respond because rude man walked off before I could say anything. read more

Every time I come to this establishment, it looks like an abandoned/neglected child of a business owner. I was excited about this place. The menu seemed abundant of Vietnamese flavors that my family likes especially pho. When we got there, as we were looking at the menu on the wall trying to decide for a few minutes, the attendant finally tells us there is a limited menu, which does not include the pho. It was weird because as we were eating our 2nd choice Bahn mi (was mediocre), the 2 employees started eating pho right next to our table. I guess pho was just for the employees??
