The 2 things semi-decent points I found were they have cook-to-order steaks and serve yourself real ice cream. Steaks are about 5-7oz but you can only get one at a time. To start I have to say the establishment was very clean and comfortable. Well upon being seated, we saw Roast beef, chicken wings, corn, rice, noodles, coconut shrimp, ribs and fried shrimp. That was the first station. Upon further inspection, I noticed some yummy fresh looking green beans, which I love. I spotted grilled asparagus next to broccoli and beef! It was 1130am, which proved to be the perfect time for a fresh lunch. We had a $1.50 off coupon for dinner which is 13.99. The cashier let us use the coupon for 2! My husband adored the French cake. Went here for the all day dinner buffet on Sunday with my wife 2.5 year old and twin babies. The place is clean, and spacious. Plenty of room for my large family. And the people are so nice. Moved on to the all you can eat snow crab legs next - awesome. They have plenty and melted butter to go with it Next I went to the grill. All fresh ingredients - much like Mongolian BBQ style. Load up meat and veggies and they cook it for you, but the kicker - they have full steaks here. And they are bomb.com. I got mine medium rare and it was excellent. Tender, well seasoned, and just great. I'm not talking thin slices flap meat - these are full steaks. They have shrimp and crab here too. Finished off with the traditional Chinese food stuff. Beef and broccoli, honey chicken - that kind of stuff. They had huge sweet and sour pork ribs, and again, I thought super high quality for an all you can eat buffet. This is the most disgusting BUFFET ever in the history of buffets. I have gone to this buffet twice since moving to Riverside. First visit, good service.. good food. Second visit, went with my mom. Sat down with our plates. Started eating, mom bit into her sushi roll, and bit on something hard. She spit it out and found a freaking TOOTH in her sushi roll. I started freaking out because that is MAJORLY UNSANITARY. WHAT THE HELL??? I call one of the waiters and show him the tooth he grabs and runs off to "show the manager." We wait and wait and wait... I'm like where the hell is the manager and why are you not taking some damn responsibility and apologizing. These people do not know how to handle any type of issues. The manager has ZERO customer service. She had the waiter explain what supposedly happened. He proceeds to give me an excuse of some previous customers ordering take out earlier in the evening and returning the food and that they must have placed the tooth into the sushi roll. ... ... Are you kidding me? First of all, why are you putting back food that has left your establishment back into the buffet for other customers to consume? That is so disgusting. Unsanitary. Unsafe. NASTY. This is my new favorite buffet in Riverside. I have to be honest and say that when it comes to AYCE Chinese food buffets, I expect there to be a lower quality of product in exchange for large variety and endless oceans of food. With that said, I feel like Hibachi Grill Buffet provides a better quality of food than many of their local competitors. That is not to say that everything I tried was amazing, but I really enjoyed a lot of the things I tried when I went. On top of the food tasting pretty good, they take it a step forward and they ditched the generic aluminum pans and put the food out on large white plates that really make the food look so tempting and appealing (I guess it's true that you eat with your eyes first). All this ties in with how updated and nice the interior feels when you enter. No tired old buffet here. On top of all the delicious looking foods and wide variety that this place offers, they also have a hibachi (the name does not disappoint). I've been to buffets that have a hibachi and I have never been all that impressed. Usually the quality is poor, or the food isn't seasoned well. That's not the case here. The quality of food was great, the guy behind the grill was awesome. The food was seasoned well and was very flavorful. I chowed down on my plate and felt extremely satisfied. Prices here are pretty competitive with the other buffets in the area. If you are local, check your mail for coupon magazines. I also think you can print coupons from their website to save a couple bucks. omg this places the food quality is terrible. on top of that. what made even more disappointed the manager send the waitress to my table to inform me the boiled crab is only for dinner customer. they were sooo preoccupied with charging me, they didnt ask if the food was okay or if i needed refill. on top of that the sushi cheft had the shushi out alllllll damn time feom lunch through dinner. these are raw fish. it could only be out for certain time. overall the service was terrible and the quality of food was terrible. if you are a crab lover, you may get lucky. at least i did and thats all i ate. read more

Considering the place is relatively new, I'm not going to be crazy critical. The reason they get 4 stars instead of 3 is because there were some pleasant surprises as listed below. Highlights: -Sushi and Sashimi bar. WHAT!? For the $14 you spend, there's a pretty decent sushi section that covers all the basics. You get salmon, tuna, and mackerel sashimi, as well as various california roll preparations (including the rainbow roll with real fish over the top) Wakame salad, fried salmon skin, and a few other dishes round it out. I went around 8, and by 9 pm they were winding things down. A nice slab of salmon was put out on the sashimi plate. Not bad. I'd consider coming back just for cheap sushi. -Roast beef, sesame baked chicken, and ribs. This is usual buffet fare but I was pretty surprised that everything was tender, savory, yet not doused in that reddish sugar glue syrup that plagues most buffets. -Oysters. Most oyster bars I've been to charge a dollar per oyster, if not more. These were pretty fresh, didn't smell fishy or have that slime that old seafood gets. Unfortunately the mussels next to the oysters were less than ok. -Frog legs. First time having frog legs- didn't know buffets even had these. I tried the one and was surprised, pretty good! These were fried but not slimy like you'd expect, but not exactly like chicken either. Quite flavorful. -Ice cream. This is just standard rite aid type ice cream which is awesome because who doesn't like rite aid ice cream? No complaints here. Chocolate, pralines and cream, strawberry, pistachio. All decent, no freezer burn. -Steak and noodle bar. There's a station where you can make your own bowl and the guy cooks everything up for you on the teppan. I didn't have it, but my date said it was pretty good. Just tell them to go easy on the salt, if any at all. Danger: This is the stuff that I'd stay away from since you're getting the calories but none of the fun. - Fried bananas, fried shrimp, fried mozzarella sticks, those little fried crabs, the seafood mix, coconut shrimp. Some of it was overdone, most of it just had no taste other than old frying oil. If I go again I'll probably skip all the fried stuff. - All of the little foam desserts in the dessert box thing were pretty bad. It was like a combination of the fruity yankee candle smells and the consistency of thick shaving foam. -The cake and tiramisu weren't good. The tiramisu had this gummy, incredibly stretchy yet sticky film of sugar and cinnamon on the top. It got stuck to my spoon like a large booger. If you have to have it, get rid of that filmy bit and then give it a shot. -Octopus. There was an octopus salad type thing in there that looked pretty good. While the octopus wasn't spoiled, it didn't taste great. Now- the above sounds pretty bad but it's a cheap buffet. Have realistic expectations. If I go back, i'll skip the fried stuff and desserts, and stick to my highlight reel. Try a frog leg. they're good, if a bit strange. Also- the staff were cleaning, cooking, and busting ass the whole time. That was nice to see. read more

Service was good. Drinks were refilled in a timely manner. The buffet didn't feel like a food trough. The serving tables were against the wall; which I think is positioned really well and their kitchen is along that same wall too. The sushi was decent and the sashimi was also good. The thing about the sushi bar that stood out to me was the fact that the prep station and the bar were two separate stations. The only bothersome thing that I noticed, and the reason why they received a three, is there weren't enough serving tongs for the sushi bar. The steaks they serve at the dinner service are those dinky thin sliced steaks but they will cook it to order. The steaks are aged yes but that doesn't affect the restaurant in a bad way, you'd be surprised how many restaurants serve ages beef, the steaks they serve are marinated really well. I prefer my steak rare and seasoned very lightly. Atmosphere itself was good. Every time I eat at buffets I feel disgusting because if it looks like a food trough it is a food trough but Hibachi Grill feels a little different. I recommend going to both the lunch and dinner service. Hibachi Grill I do suggest that you put out more serving tongs for your sushi bar. Tl;dr Hibachi grill is good. Decently priced. read more

Some of the items were not there but I was told that they could bring some out for me of whatever I wanted which I though was amazing. I've been to this place quite a few times, enough to give a pretty good opinion. If you are looking for a cheap buffet with decent quality food, this is it. During the week the deal is I believe $8 for lunch time, which is pretty good for a buffet. The only issue is a lot of the times that I've been here, the food is not fresh. It sits there for quite a while and is changed when someone notices they are short of product and decides to refill it. I like the sushi, it is a buffet so it isn't the best sushi.
