Ive been here a handful of times and each time i really liked it until my most recent visit. 1. it was super packed. 2. My husband wanted to get the mongolian food, but while he was waiting as the cook was making it, the cook stuck his finger in his nose and didnt wash it before returning to making the food. He couldnt even eat the plate. And 3. A group of 6-8 college students, im assuming, sat right next to our booth and the one closest to us was continuously clearing his throat, cough in our direction without covering his mouth, and was continuously picking his nose. Some of the food that I tried was on the positive and some on the negative. Their honey shrimp was not appealing at all. It was dry and flavorless. Hibachi is a great value! Lots of traditional and the more rare/interesting Chinese foods, Mongolian bbq, huge salad bar, many sushi options, and a small selection of desserts! There were very few "kid" options (I only saw fries and some kind of bread) but my very young kids liked the chinese and sushi foods a lot. The sushi had a very good selection and it was very fresh and tasty. The whole buffet was clean and well decorated and maintained. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Any time an item was getting low the staff made some more right away, I didn't see anything run out! We went for dinner on a Tuesday and it was $13 which is very reasonable. A lot of selection which is good, especially if you are a seafood lover. It takes awhile for the staff to realize some of the food is gone and needs refilling. Sometimes there's been food that's been not fresh and has been sitting out for sometime. Even when you go back to check to see what's changed, some food will be left where they were until you leave and are finished. Waiters/Waitresses are somewhat hard to get their attention. If you need a refill such as water, you would have to walk to them, or follow them to where they clean and refill just to hand in your cup to get a refill. Some just don't really check every table. Other than that, food is good! Some maybe dry if it's not fresh and has been out. My family loves going here, since things have changed with the buffet at the Sapporo Buffet in Corona, and the Star Buffet once off of Magnolia and La Sierra went out of business, and Panda Buffet in Corona closed down years ago. read more

Unfortunately the food quality at the Riverside location continues to decline. My original review shortly after the place opened was 4 to 5 stars. Now it's down to 2 stars and that might be generous. I was looking forward to some sushi as an appetizer - very disappointed. Sushi was picked over and looked like it was leftover from lunch! It consisted mostly of rolls with cucumber as the primary ingredient. The display was messy - again giving the impression it was leftover from lunch - NOT what one wants for Sushi!!! I did try two pieces of sushi, shrimp and octopus. The shrimp was ok but the rice was dry - another indication of not being fresh. The octopus was so tough it was inedible. :-( The hot and sour soup is still good - best item I had this visit. The dim-sum was mostly good (pot stickers, egg rolls, butterfly shrimp), mediocre (sesame balls were chewey and dry indicating not fresh), and poor (onion rings cold, chicken skewers cold). The Hibachi Grill was ok but could be MUCH better with a nice collection of "sauces" that the customer could put over the food before cooking. This is how the Mongolian BBQ near my home works. The following "sauces" would be a HUGE improvement to the flavor of the Hibachi Grill: wine, garlic, ginger, bbq, chili oil, sesame, etc. (the Mongolian BBQ has a dozen things to choose from). The entrees are variable. This visit the honey chicken and the hibachi chicken were quite good. All the asparagus was gone from the asparagus beef but a couple pieces of the beef looked good. Surprisingly they were tender - most unusual as typically all the beef dishes are very tough and chewy. Lastly the ice cream was a big improvement - not rock hard as in the past - but just right so it was easy to scoop. The butter pecan was good. There were plenty of bowls and spoons this time. Overall the experience was very mixed from a couple tasty dim sum and entrees to mediocre Hibachi Grill to downright disgusting Sushi! read more
