Having cold crab legs would boost .5 Place looks like they're in the transfer of ownership as the banner displayed at the entrance (ICHIBAN) Mostly fused Asian/Sushi buffet style. Recommend- Fried chicken wings are fire when the fresh batches come in. Sashimi - Tuna and salmon were perfectly cut. Surprisingly they have ceviche. They do have about 4 variations of fish to choose from. The spicy fish is plump. Other steamed fish were mid. Visually the deep fried catfish looked unappealing. Cons- They don't have cold crab legs on ice. They don't have shaken beef cubes which are common in Asian buffets. No fried frog legs. Soup Station - Didn't have any as it didn't appeal to me. Hibachi station - Kobe style beef patty was lightly seasoned and cooked medium. Shrimps shrunk in size as they're quite on the small size. They should do better cuts for the beef and pork. They were like diced in coin size quarter pieces. Pricing - 5/5 Pretty affordable. You get free drinks and some good food. Value- 3.5 If they had cold crab legs that would make me a returning customer for sure. Service 5/5 Was asked if I needed refills four times. Please take care and tip the staff well because they do all the refills with a smile. They cleared all plates accordingly. Bathroom 3.8 Definitely not the cleanest. We used to love coming here and enjoyed the food. Last night was not the case at all. It looks like it's under new management. We got there about 7:45 and it closes at 9:30. Thats still a decent amount of time to be open and serving. Well all the food was old, dried out, hard and they never made more. The muscles were the size of a nickel from being so shrunk up and old. The coconut shrimp was so hard you couldn't chew it. The shrimp were sitting for so long you couldn't peel them. Then there was the sushi. It had been sitting out for so long the avocado was black on top. The staff were great, but the food was not. We paid $56 to leave hungry because nothing was eatable. read more

Beautifully-presented food with considerable variety. Ample meat-based, seafood and vegetarian selections. Attentive service from staff to pick up plates and clean tables. Lots of seating. A great, fun hibachi station where raw meats and veggies are grilled to perfection before our appreciative eyes. Drawbacks: individual items are not as warm/hot as would be ideal. The $21-23 per person weekend rate is steep if you are not someone who eats a ton of food at one sitting. Complaint: Most importantly (and maybe TMI)..... all 3 seniors in our party had almost immediate GI distress after our meals . No stomach pain but an urgent need to void. I used to enjoy coming to this hibachi grill, but sadly, the quality has gone way downhill. The food tasted bland and artificial. The noodles, which used to be a highlight, now look overly orange and taste cheap and fake. Most of the food seemed like it was frozen and reheated especially the pizza, chicken nuggets, The crab legs were overcooked and rubbery, and the salmon looked off and tasted just as weird. Some of the meat was not cooked properly.... The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the shrimp, and even that needed Sriracha to be decent. Worse than the food was the aftermath--it made my stomach hurt. I couldn't even use the bathroom because they were absolutely filthy. No toilet paper, puddles of urine on the floor, no working so anybody can just walk in on you.., and it smelled horrible. On top of that, the area where I was seated smelled like sewage, which made eating even more uncomfortable. This place used to hit, but now it's just disappointing. I first went here over 10 years ago and the food was great! I went again last weekend and I was completely disappointed. I did go on a weekday so I'm assuming that's the reason for the very limited choices. Payment is upfront at the entrance, otherwise we would have left as soon as we took a look at the food. We paid like $16 a person for lunch with a drink. The fried shrimp were room temp and had black spots. The sushi selection was all a form of California rolls ( no fish). The egg drop soup had a green tinge to it. And to top it off we found a hair on the spicy chicken. The hibachi food lacked good flavor compared to other buffets. The veggie dishes were pretty good and fresh. The service was umm...different, it's self serve drinks and self seating. Honestly, this place has gone downhill. Food selection is VERY limited and filled with very low grade cheap eats. You'll find frozen pizza, nuggets, stale fries, gyozas that are too hard to eat, fried breaded items, and Chinese food (broccoli beef, chow mein noodles, and fried rice). To think coconut shrimp is a "dinner" item, is a but crazy to me. Yes, they do empty your plates one by one to check for any wasted food to charge you. This is a buffet not an AYCE high quality sushi or KBBQ place, so it happens and they should know what comes with running this type of establishment. Especially if the food is rock hard stale or rancid (like the sushi), please refuse to pay for any extra charges! You're in the right to do so, especially since they charge you first. read more

We used to be regular customers for years, but the last couple of times we went to Hibachi we were very disappointed. It seems that it was going down the road of all failing buffets - food quality/freshness declines, less people come, food quality gets worse, fewer people come, and on and on. The last time my husband and I both said "that's the last time we eat here." When we drive by I expect to see that the place is closed. Now I see they are under new management and I am hoping that some of the problems have been addressed. I'd rather see fewer trays of hot fresh food than many trays of half filled crusty food. Same with the soup - less than half filled soup pans holding crusty soup is just not appetizing. The bathrooms at this location have always been a BIG mess, and this is something that can be easily corrected. Also, why is it impossible to find the latest pricing information?? Were the prices changed by the new management? On the plus side, the layout is good and the service was always friendly and efficient. Came here after the boy's surgery today. Been looking at all the food options in the area the last 3 days. It was either Flaming Buffet, Koreana Grill, Yoshinoya, or Hibachi Grill Buffet. First off, the name is very misleading. During LUNCH TIME there is no Hibachi steak!! The Hibachi Steak is for DINNER only. However, they do have a Mongolian bbq, where you choose your meats and veggies, and they grill it for you. They really do have a very big selection of various items, you can't go wrong w that!! The chicken wings were good. Beef and broccoli was good, chow mein and fried rice was good too. Soups were legit. They had a good selection of sushi rolls and I was surprised that they had an all veggie kimbap!! Lots of fruits and desserts to choose from so that was great too!! The drink is included w the price so that is a big plus!!! They have a lot of seating and the middle part was under construction. Temperature though, was very hot in there!!! Please turn your AC up!! It was unbearably hot and the temperature was not comfortable. Service was great!! One of the servers was very helpful, friendly and happy. I wish I'd tried their steak!! Guess I will have to come back here one of these days and try their hibachi steaks. Not bad for a $15 lunch though, can't go wrong w that. Sorry I didn't get to take pictures bc I was uncomfortably hot and also bc we were in a hurry since the boy was not feeling well and had just gotten out of surgery. Don't expect King Crab legs for the reasonable price. The Mongolian bbq station is pretty complete with meat and seafood options and fresh veggies. I love the fried chicken if I catch a fresh batch. A couple years ago I thought I got food poisoning from this place from undercooked shrimp (tail on one was still gray) but I wasn't positive that was from here so I gave it another chance today. The one item I really wanted - calamari - is no longer there. The coconut shrimp is still decent but the serving spoon burned my hand when I went to serve myself. Broccoli beef is okay. The fries were honestly the best tasting thing here. The spicy chicken was undercooked (meat still pink) and the mongolian grill options looked like a total health hazard - the chicken sitting out was completely thawed and room temp. Some of the little cakes I used to get for dessert aren't here anymore but they do have these little two bite cheesecakes that are nice. I'm just praying I don't get sick. The food stuffs and taste were pretty delicious - they had Mongolian BBQ and sushi and tons of fish and crab. Pure bliss for a poor and hungry soul!
