Overall score 3.5 The service what boosted up past the 3 mark. Having cold crab legs would boost .5 Place looks like they're in the transfer of ownership as the banner displayed at the entrance (ICHIBAN) Mostly fused Asian/Sushi buffet style. Recommend- Fried chicken wings are fire when the fresh batches come in. Sashimi - Tuna and salmon were perfectly cut. Surprisingly they have ceviche. They do have about 4 variations of fish to choose from. The spicy fish is plump. Other steamed fish were mid. Visually the deep fried catfish looked unappealing. Cons- They don't have cold crab legs on ice. They don't have shaken beef cubes which are common in Asian buffets. No fried frog legs. Soup Station - Didn't have any as it didn't appeal to me. Hibachi station - Kobe style beef patty was lightly seasoned and cooked medium. Shrimps shrunk in size as they're quite on the small size. They should do better cuts for the beef and pork. They were like diced in coin size quarter pieces. Pricing - 5/5 Pretty affordable. You get free drinks and some good food. Value- 3.5 If they had cold crab legs that would make me a returning customer for sure. Service 5/5 Was asked if I needed refills four times. Please take care and tip the staff well because they do all the refills with a smile. They cleared all plates accordingly. Bathroom 3.8 Definitely not the cleanest. But, they do have 3 stalls which is a plus. Place is huge and can accommodate many groups.

Highlight, choosing our own raw ingredients and watching them grilled up with spices we specified.

Full disclosure: this is our first buffet experience since COVID, so we may be a bit guarded and conservative in our review. The strength: Friendly staff. A senior discount. Beautifully-presented food with considerable variety. Ample meat-based, seafood and vegetarian selections. Attentive service from staff to pick up plates and clean tables. Lots of seating. A great, fun hibachi station where raw meats and veggies are grilled to perfection before our appreciative eyes. Drawbacks: individual items are not as warm/hot as would be ideal. The $21-23 per person weekend rate is steep if you are not someone who eats a ton of food at one sitting. Complaint: Most importantly (and maybe TMI)..... all 3 seniors in our party had almost immediate GI distress after our meals . No stomach pain but an urgent need to void. I'm ambivalent with the number of stars but can't go over 3 due to the last complaint. Don't think we will return.

This is the fruit where it has cantaloupe, watermelon pineapple oranges, little sweet cookies, salad cake, pudding Jell-O all you can eat!!!

Yes, the food here is delicious. A big variety of food. It even also has sushi. This is all you can eat buffet. It's cheaper during the week and a little bit more on the weekends.

I used to enjoy coming to this hibachi grill, but sadly, the quality has gone way downhill. The food tasted bland and artificial. The noodles, which used to be a highlight, now look overly orange and taste cheap and fake. Most of the food seemed like it was frozen and reheated especially the pizza, chicken nuggets, The crab legs were overcooked and rubbery, and the salmon looked off and tasted just as weird. Some of the meat was not cooked properly.... The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the shrimp, and even that needed Sriracha to be decent. Worse than the food was the aftermath--it made my stomach hurt. I couldn't even use the bathroom because they were absolutely filthy. No toilet paper, puddles of urine on the floor, no working so anybody can just walk in on you.., and it smelled horrible. On top of that, the area where I was seated smelled like sewage, which made eating even more uncomfortable. This place used to hit, but now it's just disappointing. Definitely not what it used to be

Great, I like the food. The fish and crab are fresh and the meat is hot and juicy. Highly recommend.

Because you get the 50/50 chance risk with the low price of like $15 - 20 (I dont know, my friend paid for us all) I suspect it was plenty of the fried and cooked foods that are responsible for some of the reviewers' ache. The orange chicken, hibachi chicken, lo mein, -- the usual. Dont count on the vegetables like broccoli to be safe either, they wont do anything for your gut either. I wonder what's the quality of their cooking oil, since my friends said it might be the root cause of it all. We never encountered me sick at any place except this The sushi bar was alright. Nothing spectacular and delectible. You get the low quality of sushi for the price, after all. Im not sure if it contributed to the sick feeling but beware! For the garlic bread, fries, chicken nuggets, and just about other 'instant' looking food -- theyre probably instant and quickly cooked for service, really. That garlic bread had a spongey texture. Again, thats what I get for coming to a low budget place

Yes, it is open to the public, and the array of food is mind boggling, and just as good as any other good breakfast spot. It is located in the Commons which is located in the center of campus. It is easily found from the front entrance on Magnolia Street. Huge numbers of parking spaces are nearby. There is a large, lush, grassy, tree-lined area open for school events in the center, spaces for young children to run and play, and bathroom facilities aplenty. It has been a fairly well-kept secret until some TikTok'ers, You Tubers, and Instagrammers recently let the secret out that they are open to the public. Curious, we came around noon a few Sundays ago and the line out the door was overwhelming. Mind you, the line was made up of mostly non-students. For any late-rising students (those that live on campus), they got priority entrance because their meals are pre-paid, and many have nowhere else to eat, unless they have a car. It's only fair. So we left that day without eating and saved it for another Sunday when we could arrive earlier. They open at 9:30 am. Close around 2. Almost classy for a campus cafeteria, it is the main and largest of the several cafes and restaurant locations on campus. It has a sleek, modern look, is well maintained, and offers a broad selection of foods that is appealing and upscale. I had my eye on the carving center (tri tip available on this day) and custom omelet stations (there are two, one at each end), but there are so many more entrees and side dishes to choose from, including beverages and desserts. Grab a tray, take your time, and browse the many stations first before you start loading up. There is plenty for all. But if you walk away hungry, it's no ones fault but yours. This is also a place where students can get a respectable, part-time job on campus while "edjumacating" themselves. Better yet, it must be comforting as a parent knowing there is well prepared, healthy food available for feeding your son with a hollow leg. It is not the despicable, monotonous dorm food I had the misfortune to experience many decades ago (obviously not here). While very popular with students and public alike, there is a tremendous amount of seating for all, indoors and out. There are highchair and booster seats for the little ones. Very family friendly. Our bill for 2 seniors, 3 adults, and 2 children came to around $130, quite affordable when Grandma and Grandpa are treating. And everyone left satisfied.

This place is HUGE so I've never once had to wait for seating. What I love about this local, family run Mongolian spot is that it's all you can eat, so you don't have to stuff your 1 bowl like at the mall Mongolian spots. You can get 2 bowls if you want, one for noodles and veggies and the other for the meats. Best of all, when you are done, you can get more! The noodles are amazing, but what's equally as good is their side dish bar, which has pocket bread, egg drop soup, rice, spring rolls, and the BEST meatballs in gravy I've had in a while. The meat balls are so soft and flavorful. Lastly, the BEST fountain soda I've ever had is here. I usually drink 3-4 full cups before I leave. The weekday lunch price of $18.99 feels reasonable, but at $23.99, you have plenty of other buffet options with a much wider selection -- places like Paradise, Empire, or Hibachi, which also include a Mongolian grill station. And honestly, if I'm only craving Mongolian grill, I'd rather drive to Pasadena and eat at Golden Palace for just $15.99. A quick tip to really make your money worth it: grab two bowls -- one for meat and one for noodles and veggies. Load up on as much meat as you can because it shrinks significantly after cooking. Take as little noodles as possible since they'll fill you up fast. Most people can only finish one or two bows, so don't waste your money by piling on too many noodles. Many previous reviews mentioned that this place used to automatically add a 6% gratuity fee even for solo diners. It seems they've stopped doing that, but they still add gratuity for larger groups.
