This place is hit or miss. I've been several times it's been a 5 and a 2. When it's busy and turning over it's much better. Last time i was there, one steam table wasn't doing it's job and stuff was cold. I've never tried the Hibachi, I will next v time. Family went out to eat 12/30/2023 . Very disappointed , the server had a attitude when bringing our drinks coke and Dr pepper was ordered (2 dark drinks) he just sits them on table ,had to ask for other drinks along with getting coke replaced due to fact it was flat. After getting food, before getting back to table it was already lukewarm. Out of several items ,wings . Egg drop soup lacked flavor. Food need to be proper temperature. Need improvement, this is the worst food and service experience since I been dining here. To top off evening they are adding $5 gratuity fee which is unacceptable.the server didn't deserve that, usually I tip above 20% for great service. The hostess is sweet, and service overall is fine (used plates never stuck around for all that long). The buffet is huge and has at least something you'll like including miniature spicy octopi which I found to be a bold move for the Auburn-Opelika area. I loved the hibachi and grilled noodles portion. The employees were sweet and made sure you got some nice hot noodles to go especially when some of the entree trays were empty. They refilled any item you wanted upon request. Several of the food items looked scary and old as if it had been sitting there for days. The bean sprouts (mung bean) were actually a gray-brown color. A surprise item of theirs is the funfetti ice cream. There is no such thing as a good Asian buffet so I enjoyed wandering around to see their variety of misplaced food items. This is the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to in my 27 years of life, and I love Chinese and Japanese food and am always trying new places. Normal Chinese buffet options that taste 10x better (probably a good ten more dishes than you normally see), fruit and salad bar, soups, hibachi table, sushi bar, dessert and ice cream selections, and classic American fare for the picky eaters (though they're missing out). -The sushi had good variety and was well prepared and kept at appropriate temperatures, no need to fear upset tummies from eating here. Very tasty, tempura was crisp, not soggy like some other places. -Very clean, warm, welcoming environment. Great decor; you can tell they've put a good amount of money into this place. -Great, and I mean GREAT, customer service. Very friendly and welcoming, and we never once had to ask for more drinks. They'd ask if we wanted more when our cups were still 3/4 full (but were very nonintrusive and polite, so it wasn't annoying). -Clean and well functioning bathrooms. Automatic soap and paper towel dispensers were available. I don't know about you, but I believe you can tell a lot about any establishment by how much effort they put into their bathrooms. When I ask for hot sauce there was like no no no like I was in the wrong I had to go across the street to a gas station to get hot sauce. They did not have no crackers for the crab legs. When my son went to the grill to get food the guy was not wearing no gloves went to the back with his food saying he's putting butter on it. However when I asked 5 minutes before they say they had no butter. I don't understand how you go from having butter to not having butter and within 5 minutes. If I'm going to be honest you're better off going to McDonald's 5 minutes up the road. If you're looking to have a family experience do not come here. Wish I could leave a 0 star read more

This is one of the only buffets in town and the selection is pretty wide. They offer the option of cooking meats and vegetables fresh on a hibachi grill but I didn't take advantage of this. The food is actually pretty decent; however some dishes are slightly too salty and others (egg drop soup) were bland. But for the price, you can help yourself to a huge variety of food that isn't half bad. Show up stoned, and you'll be all the better for it. The sushi they offered were rolls of imitation crabmeat, some with avocado, some with cream cheese, and I did find a raw tuna roll. I do like how they have two noodle entrees. The dessert bar was decent sized and the restaurant had plenty of entrees, sides, and appetizers. More than just the typical crab or California roll. They had some Philadelphia rolls and some specialty rolls, like tempura or crunchy shrimp. For the standard buffet there are six different tables, first is the cold food and dessert. Fruit, salad, peel and eat shrimp, octopus, etc. Then there is a fried table, with Rangoon, wontons, fried shrimp, fried fish, and fried chicken. Next is a line with roasted salmon, baked mussels, clam bake, fried shrimp bake, some awful looking pizza. Then they have the typical Chinese buffet items: lemon chicken, pepper beef, orange chicken, etc. The last table has some full fish, full pork roasts, donuts, rolls and some other items I could not decipher Overall I suggest it if you want some decent food at a great price. The manager/waitress started yelling at us about paying a tip as we left. She ended up with only half of what she was originally going to receive for that little stunt. This was barely a halfway decent buffet. The General Tso's had weird texture for the chicken and tasted exactly like the sesame chicken, which obviously wasn't good either. The cream cheese wonton had crab meat in it but wasn't labeled as such which could be an issue for someone with allergies. The sauteed green beans were probably the best thing I tried. This place used to be good but has gone downhill over the last 3-4 years. The food is mediocre at best, most of it is fried, and/or tasteless. Not many vegetable dishes, it's usually just meat and noodles/rice. The sushi bar has been nearly empty the last few times I've been in here. Owners always have their families in the restaurant with their kids running all over the place, making noise, etc. Dessert selection on the buffet is mediocre at best. Unfortunately this is the best Chinese buffet in town, but it's really not that good. I'd expect more from a college town. read more
