Welcoming entrance and host stand. You don't have to pay when you enter which makes eating a bit more relaxed. We were seated in a private dining area with plenty of seating. The only downfall was that the lighting, although beautiful was vey dim. Our server was quick and efficient, having to get drinks for the 15 of us. The food was good, plenty to choose from. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and today I finally got the chance to eat there. The restaurant is kind of dark in the seating area and while the area with the buffet tables is a little better lit still it's a bit on the dim side. I was seated immediately upon arrival and my server came right away for my beverage order. My drinks were brought to me quickly. There were several buffet tables loaded up with Chinese dishes such as pepper steak, crab rangoon, sesame chicken, lo mein, fried rice, chicken with broccoli and so much more. Sushi is also available as well as shrimp and teriyaki dishes. The food was delicious but could have been slightly hotter. I did enjoy what I ate though and the food wasn't completely cold, it just could have been a bit more hot. I saw restaurant staff filling the buffet trays with food so that tells me everything is fresh. My server was friendly and came to the table often to remove empty dishes from my table. They did have some desserts here such as ice cream, jello, cookies, cakes, apple pie and chocolate pudding. I chose the Jello as my dessert. The restaurant itself is clean, organized, and really spacious with a lot of seating. This would be a good place to come with a group of 2-8 people. There is also a bar if you're looking for a bar but the place is really more of a sit down restaurant. It's all you can eat which is great and becoming rarer. The waiters don't take orders since you go up and get the food yourself, so the service is fine, as they just come around to collect dishes. Overall a nice place. Will be back. read more

Friday's can be a challenge when you're Catholic. No meat day so Hibachi Supreme did not disappoint. They were ready. There was shrimp on ice, oysters, mussels in black bean gravy, broiled and fried salmon, salt and pepper shrimp , crawfish, whitefish, seafood delight and more. I DiD get a little of everything. I could not resist. I even tried mini octopus and I liked it. Everything I chose had it's own unique flavor. None of it was overpowering and the salmon and white fish were lightly seasoned. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere appealing. Patrons were respectful and we all kept it clean at the buffet. Nothing gross to report. My family enjoyed the selections I brought home. The SERVICE, JUST RUDE WAITRESSES and THIEVES. I'm NOT against leaving a tip when it's earned. BUT the prior week, took a friend out to eat.... everything went just fine except at the end. Had a bill of $42.55, gave $45. My change was NEVER brought back to me and I never once indicated that was the tip. Usually I want my change back for the smaller bills and I'll leave $5 to $7. Just the very fact my change was converted into a tip absolutely pissed me off...and not like anyone came back and asked me if that was in fact a tip... this was 2/2, Decided to give them a final shot and make a point. This time I left exactly $42.55 in the tray and wanted to see the reaction. The server leaves the tray, she literally counts the money at table, takes it to the register and comes back, literally and I shit you not, taps on the tray, telling me to leave a tip and whatever she said in her native language to me, she was angry & upset. Mind you this is a buffet, they're just bringing drinks which they mix up alot....they stand around watching you eat too... I left a nice note explaining what happened last time and why no tip was being left since they stole my last one, It's the principle. You don't just convert someone's change to your tip, that's for the customer to decide. The sheer rudeness of it all was and is just unacceptable. read more

My buddy says he eats here at least once a week and said "I just have to try it." I really am not sure why. I'm going to keep it brief and I ain't taking his advice anymore. True it was 2:30 on a weekday and although the spacious place was empty the bins housing the dozens of items were half full except the sushi offerings which were sparse however there was no way I was going near that. Overall pretty dry and bland. It was so freaking dark in the restaurant that I could not see what I was eating either when I sat down other than I knew what I got. I think that's crazy and maybe indicative of an attempt to hide dirt and filth or bugs or whatever. My camera lit up shots trust me it was darker than a corner table at a strip bar and most definitely not romantic LOL Would love an explanation. As per my usual I tried at least a dozen things and rather than list the failures will say that the Peking raviolis were very good. That's it. Honestly nothing else was above mediocre and a couple of things were spit out into my napkin. I don't feel sick ..yet. Was told I was an idiot to go there with corona virus starting to break out in a bigger way. I agree it was idiotic. Anyways I can add it to my list of poor experiences. First of all, the good: value. It's very cheap, the selection is good and well thought out, and this is probably the best place in Brockton to gorge yourself on as many calories and as much bulk that $14.00 (weekday lunch, tax included, with drink) can buy. A couple of bucks more for evenings and weekends. Never crowded at lunchtime on weekdays even at the lunchtime peak, so no waiting. Can't say about evenings or weekends. Probably the best place to bring a family with kids, especially growing teens on a tight budget. Definitely not the place to come on a date or take guests to. It does resemble a converted strip club, which I suspect it is, but kids won't pick up on that, whereas a date or adult guest will. The food is not at all bad, but it's not all that good, either. OK, the "sushi" is pretty awful, and the dumplings are atrocious, but that a small number of the many dishes on offer. Filling more than satisfying. You get what you pay for, and that's fair. You're not going to rave about it, of course, but there isn't anything that you'd be justified complaining about, considering the price. "Can't complain" just about sums it up. American Chinese standards. Actually, a bit better than many of the other American Chinese places in Brockton. Not too greasy (except the dumplings). If you are looking for real Chinese food, you'll have to go up to Quincy or Boston and, of course, pay a good bit more. Try Dim Sum at Food Opera on Essex in Chinatown and East Ocean on Billings off Hancock in North Quincy if you want variety and good authentic Chinese food at a good price. Service? There is essentially none, good or bad. Which is perfectly fine because it's reflected in the low price, and Jeez, it's an all you can eat self-serve buffet. Bathroom was OK. Parking is plentiful. The bad: the seating area is pitch black, no exaggeration. Not "dim", not "subdued", and certainly not "romantic". Mafia strip club dark, without the neon (and the strippers). The lighting is woefully inadequate, and what few photons it emits are immediately absorbed by the black walls and decor. So dark, you literally cannot distinguish any color in your food, just the dim outline of your plate and an even dimmer hint of the things on it, even if you are lucky enough to be seated under a light fixture. Leaving this place on even a cloudy day will make you squint on the way to your car. Verdict: Can't complain for the price. read more

The buffet area is well lit, so you can see what to get to fill your plate. But once you go to your table and sit down, your plate of food is a murky shadow in front of you. You will NOT be able to see what you are eating. If you didn't fill your plate yourself, you would really have to wonder what is on them. I was half expecting a girl to jump out behind the buffet tables. The fake leather on the bathroom walls don't help either. I headed the buffet table when I saw a man with a mullet staring at me. As I gazed down at the disappointing food presentation he said, "hey there pretty lady, wanna ditch this place and take a ride in my van?" True story, there were at least FIVE WITNESSES. After pretending like that never happened, I got myself a plate and was greeted by lukewarm disappointment. The sushi, oh the poor sushi. Why would someone do this to you? The sushi rice was stale through and through, on various different rolls even. The fish had an old taste to it and didn't have fresh ingredients for miles. As for all the other items, they were inedible. After barely getting through half a plate of stale and indigestible presentation in front of me, I left. On top of that the manager said that he saw my family eating when only one person in my party ate the "dinner" items. This place should close down with their worker having no customer skill. First thing I went and got sushi and there wasn't any sauce, I went ask the sushi/hibachi guy for spicy mayo he refuse and point at the buffet bar. The sushi here is very low quality and I wouldn't recommend it. The food here is pretty much mediocre and nothing really standing out. I'm not sure if other restaurants server filtered or tap water, but this place definitely serves tap water and I can't stand tap water so I got a soda instead. I have never been to a restaurant where 85% of the staff is rude as all hell. They make it seem like you're bothering them when you ask a question which I have done. I asked the waitress something simple such as "May I have a glass of water with a lemon please." And she got a attitude and took 30 minutes to bring me my water. Funny thing is I was next to the drink booth. The food here was horrible as well I will name which foods I thought were the worse. Starting off The clams they were disgusting they tasted like rubberbands and the clam sauce tasted like snot, their chicken fingers was dry as bones, and the wrose of all was how dry the spear ribs were. The best thing about my experience was not only getting the checkbook so I can leave but the sushi bar even though the chef was mean too their sushi is delicious and so was their crabragoon and grilled seafood. This is the 1st time I left a $1.00 tip to my server because she was mean to me the whole time and had the nerve to ask for a tip. I told her that she was being rude the whole time and disrespectful so I personally didn't feel like she deserved a tip. Your second plate might be peel-and-eat shrimp with lo mein and wontons with egg-drop soup. Next hit the huge assortment of meats and fishes. People walk away with HUGE platefuls of crawdaddies. Lots of vegan choices as well. I tried the sushi but that was the one food I didn't care for. They also have hibachi which we didn't get to try--as the choice here is so wide. Desserts, too.
