I reached out to Mola on day 8 to ask about coming in for another toner. Due to scheduling conflicts, I wasn't able to come back until December 23rd. A toner was applied, which I assumed would be complimentary given how quickly the brassiness appeared, but paid $177 including tip. Unfortunately, within a week the highlights were brassy again. I reached out on December 30th to let her know. She suggested it could be due to hard water, but I do not have hard water, and the brassiness started appearing before I ever washed my hair. After doing some research, I learned that if highlights are not lifted enough, brassy tones can return very quickly. I asked if some of the highlights could be corrected, as this was a big financial investment and I was very unhappy with the result. After that, she completely stopped responding to my emails. Being ghosted after spending nearly $900 total is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I expected better communication and accountability.

I constantly get compliments from people, asking where I go. People even go to her to fix their hair, after it gets messed up by another salon they went to in order to pay less. At other salons, even if I get the senior stylist, I'd always worry about how it will turn out. There'd always be one or a few things that I'd be disappointed by, and I'd have to wait a few weeks for my hair to grow out and hide it. With Yuna, I can literally just close my eyes and fully trust her skills. Other stylists usually get my hair to a basic level and do the same generic things they're used to doing. Yuna custom tailors my haircut and styling to me, paying close attention to the little details, how it looks at each angle, and what enhances my features. The best part is she also does finishing touch ups after shampooing, making sure the final results are perfect. Also, when I get perms or do both color and perm on the same day with other stylists, my hair would immediately be very dry and damaged for months. It would even be hard to style because it'd be so rough. But I feel like Yuna not only cares about how my hair looks, but also its health. She gives me advice for the long term health of my hair, she's like a hair doctor. And my hair is always left looking and feeling silky smooth. There are many stylists in the Bay Area that try to do Korean and Asian style perms and down perms, but nobody does them as well as Yuna.
