I'm going to exercise my first amendment right to freedom of speech The staff at Hibdon tires needed education on customer service .Richard Ignores customers in line while he sits at the computer. Several customers on February 14, 2025 waited 4+ hours inside the Hibdon lobby waiting on their vehicles to be completed. My front in alignment that I had done pulls to the left as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot to go drive my vehicle for the first time bull crap . They didn't even bother to grease my ball joints after I spent over $300. I will go to another Hibdon to getting my services fixed from today . I was never told how long it would take. It took two hours for two tires to be replaced and it took two hours for a front in alignment. Unacceptable. Poor communication . The water at the coffee pot taste like fish disgusting. The bathroom has no soap and the bath room is dirty and Helen gave me the excuse that somebody else supposed to fix it when all you have to do is go to the dollar store and buy a bottle of soap so that customers can wash their hands. Lazy The cold water dispenser was filthy on the outside the overflow tray was overflowing with water and mold. I wonder how much mold is inside of the water dispenser that you can't see. Mr. Hibdon would be disappointed in the way this company is being ran even though he does not own the company anymore. Honestly wouldn't ever recommend this place. I tried this place a few times over the years to give it a chance and every time they aim to disappoint. They don't do anything they say they will. Their times are always off, appointments or walk in be prepared for the time quoted to be a day off. Literally had a man walk back into the store saying he just drove his car out from their garage and his tire fell off. THEY DIDNT EVEN BOLT THE TIRE BACK IN! While shopping for road force balance pricing, I was quoted ~$84 over the phone by Hibdon tired for road force balance...I get to the shop and the manager and front desk girl experience a disconnect. The manager changed the price i was quoted to over $100. I told him i felt jerked around, i am here because of the ~$84 price i was quoted for the road force balance service i requested over the phone . Hibdon's Manager shrugged me off. I spent $1000 on all new brakes and rotors at hibdons less than 2 years ago. I heard a noise in my brakes last week now they're saying I need 2 new rotors and 2 new calipers and it was going to be over $900. my bakes never gave any warning squeak. so he finally said he would cover the rotors if I payed for nee calipers. now he only wanted over $600. they are crooks. I sent my truck in for repair. Broken pitman arm. Getting this repair done with a $45.00 part plus punching out the broken stem of the pitman arm cost me $853.77. 4 new tires is always painful, but I'd say overall, my experience at Hibdon's was at least heavily anesthetized. I called around to several places to check prices before choosing Hibdon's, which seemed to offer a better selection of tires (in this case, a high end and a lower end option), and very comparable pricing. I liked having the option to schedule an appointment either online or with the representative over the phone. Appointments were mostly next day or later. Also, it was a small thing, but I appreciated the representative quoting me a price with tax and fees included rather than the pre-tax/fees. The latter always makes the prices seem oh-so-much lower than they really are. The only thing that really kept me from giving Hibdon's 5 stars was that the appointment took 2 hours+ rather than the hour I was told it would take. To be fair, that is probably largely my fault as I arrived 20 mins late due to a long work meeting, which I assume threw my appointment out of order. Either way, the representative didn't make me feel bad for being late, but I also wasn't given any kind of time estimate other than a vague "yeah" when I asked if it would still take an hour. I will definitely check Hibdon's out again though if/when I need new tires or other repairs in the future. Note: my tires included a 4 year warranty for any blow-outs, holes, etc... at any nationwide Hibdon's. With my data in the computer so I don't need a receipt (though I kept it just in case). read more

I'm a big fan and regular customer of Hibdon Tires Plus. However, this was my best experience yet! I was out of town but I knew I would get great service at any Hidbon location. With less than 15 min until closing, I pulled in with a flat on my rental. They took care of me right away. I had a hole and a screw in my tire. I was in and out in less than 30min. We've given our business to Hibdon's for decades now, and can't even imagine going elsewhere. The company offers a terrific warranty on all its tires, and the rotation and other services offered by this company are, well, second to none. Parking can be a little hairy at this location (i.e., the northwest 23rd Street location), but that's mostly because of all the current construction going on right in front. We've found the staff here to be not only helpful, but also exceptionally honest and forthright. (That means a great deal to us in world too often filled with two-bit shysters and slimy snake oil hucksters who'll tell you anything to get you to part with your hard earned dollars!) read more

Horrible, incompetent imbeciles, this place forgot to put back a pivotal piece of my car after changing and charging me an adequate amazing for all the brakes, therefore my car was screeching, and I had to bring it back for them to fix their mistake, which was wasted time and gas and NO apology from them for their mistake. I was going to let all of this go, but THEN my husband took our other car to them, and they proceeded to brush off my instruction and LOCK MY KEYS in my car, then had me waiting here for them to try and retrieve them, and wait for a locksmith. The Hibdon Tires Plus at 3508 NW 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73107 is one of the worst in OKC. I sent a work truck to them to repair a flat. Three hours later the truck was still sitting in the same place. I called and told Dave that I was needing the truck back as quick as possible to go make deliveries, Dave said that I only had two others in front of me and he would get it worked in. An hour later the truck still had not moved. I called and Roy the manager hung up on me once instead of putting me on park and then he put me on hold again and after 8 minutes Dave answered the phone, I told Dave not to touch my truck that I would be doing business with someone else from here on out. Over time, I have learned lying to get the work and screwing the client over is a pervasive thing at Hibdons here is one example: I had the rear brakes on my box van repaired with the lifetime repair option. I was told all parts and labor would be covered and I would have to pay nothing in the future. That sounded like a good deal because I plan on keeping this truck until the end of time. I was told they would get it done about 3 or 4 o'clock. I am self-employed and I had a job to get to at 1 pm so I said I would bring it back in a day or so. The guy said he wanted to check something and walked away. Coming back, he said, "We can get it done for you by noon." I asked, "Are you sure because I need this job." He guaranteed it by noon. I let them do the work. About 10 am I saw my truck was still sitting there. I asked if they needed me to bring it back another day. They promised to get it done in time. I saw my truck brought in the shop a little later and parts removed then they stopped working and it sat there in pieces, I could not leave. I knew then, they had lied to me. I called my client. They had to have the job done and called someone else. I tried to talk to someone at Hibdon's but all I got was a nonchalant "oh sorry about that" they did not care at all. They did get it done about 3 or 4 like they originally said. When I was paying, I told them they guaranteed they would have it done by noon and they just scoffed saying "Well sorry" and walked off like it was no big deal. They got their money so screw me and what I needed. I decided I was done coming to Hibdon's BUT unfortunately, I have that lifetime replacement on the rear end. The next day my truck had to towed back to Hibdons because of shoddy workmanship. The rear end was literally falling apart. I actually had to fight them to get them to pay for the tow. Several years went by and I take my truck to the dealer for work and they said the brakes need replacing. I took it to Hibdons and they refused to do it saying it did not need it. That happened a couple of times. On 11/08/21 they finally agreed to do the work. But they were acting as though I were stupid for not bringing it in sooner and letting the condition of the rear end deteriorate to the way it was. Which of course I had brought it in but they refused to fix it. Now that they are going to fix it, they quoted a price of about $250 or so. I explained what I was told. Of course, they acted like I was lying. I let it go because it had to get done and I was there for the last time so fine do it. I was told I needed to leave it there for a day or two. I dropped it off close to noon on 11/08/21. Then they called and said it would be over $500, again I need it done so fine do it. They called on Nov 11th saying the truck was ready. Asking me if I had gotten a call the day before saying it was ready. I said no, I had not. He replied, "Yeah well, I know you did but whatever". I DID NOT GET A CALL. I get there and they cannot find the keys or paperwork. He goes walking around the shop, comes back, and says the truck had not been worked on yet. He explained what happened, apologized for the inconvenience, and said he would make sure I got a good discount to try and make up for it. That was ok with me I did not make an issue of it. He said they would call me when it was ready. I got a call on Nov 13 '21. My truck had been there for 5 days. Which by itself is egregious. I get there and the guy processes the payment. I asked about the discount I was promised and the guy (with an attitude) said: "Well we did about 8 hours of extra work on it and we price match one item so there is no discount." Which of course is a load of crap. I went ahead and paid the price they wanted. The hassle of going through legal channels is not worth the time but I can let everybody and their mother know what happened to me and just maybe cost Hibdon's way more than I paid, making it totally worth the price. read more

I'm a fan of Hibdon's. I've never had a bad experience at one, and though I usually go to one of the NW Expressway locations close to home, I was on this side of town with a tire that needed to be repaired, so I came to this one. Jeff did his best to take care of me, but they weren't able to help me because I don't seem to have a wheel lock key. I don't think my used car came with one (it also didn't come with a spare key - which is another conversation for a different review, lol). So, I had to come back and pick up my car, take it to the dealership, and buy a wheel lock key. So, they didn't really do anything? Five stars for what? Well, first off, Jeff spent about five minutes helping me address some questions and issues about my tires that I didn't understand. He went out to my car with me in 104 degree heat to show me a few things. He was helpful and thorough, and never once talked down to me or made me feel like he was talking to a girl who doesn't know anything about cars. He could teach a class to other mechanics about best practices when speaking to non-car types about cars. He was so respectful and that's why he gets five stars. Also five stars to any business whose employees can stay polite and pleasant when they are doing hard work outside in such extreme weather. I'll be back - I'll need new tires soon and I prefer to do business with people like this. read more

I will try to contain myself as much as possible throughout this review...but it might go into Rated-R territory. Just a FYI. Well, let's see...where do I begin? How about this...this place is an absolute joke and definitely shady. The Missus and I decided to have her car dropped off at this Hibdon to do some work under the hood. You know, competent mechanic work. Work that cost $400. (*Exhaling* I'm so close to stroking out just thinking about it.) A coupla weeks later, my lady's car dies on her drive to work. I call up my old man and have it towed to his shop.* He takes a look at it and lets me know that some of the bolts that keep the alternator attached to the damn engine are gone and a few others have been loosened, thus causing the problem. I thought, "hmmmm, maybe they just rattled themselves loose..." "I've never in my life seen or heard of the bolts to an alternator just falling out. If that were true, a lot of car companies would be getting sued." -My Dad I'll take his word for it, as he has been working on cars for 40 years. Hell, the man was born with a wrench in his hand. Anyway, he didn't charge my lady for anything...just reattached the alternator to the engine and sent her on her way. Hibdon, I can't say one of your mechanics actually took the bolts holding the alternator in my lady's car...but, it damn sure appears like one of your mechanics did...and just the notion that they might have makes your work shady as hell. *My dad is the service manager at Bob Howard Honda. I've done business at this location before, like major work, and went in for an oil change yesterday. My fault, I went in 1 1/2 hours before closing and there wasn't time to get me in, so I made an 8 am appointment for this morning. I have never been to an auto service shop that didn't have a coffee pot. Isn't bad coffee part of the deal? Even though I had an appointment, I waited close to 50 minutes for an oil change. I scheduled brake service because my car was braking all wonky job. They looked at my car and called to tell me it was issue that should be looked at by the dealer because my brakes checked out just fine. They suspected the brake booster, which was under warranty. It's so great to have a reputable service station that will be honest instead of fixing something that doesn't need to be repaired. Curbs also have a tendency to jump out and bite my tires and this Hibdon has always been very helpful in recommending a similar tire to the high dollar tires that came with the car. Friendly customer service and trustworthy technicians: two of the most sought after qualities in a service station and they have them both here! read more

To echo what my boyfriend, Patrick, stated in his review: I was not taken care of properly at this location of Hibdon. I had always been satisfied with my service at the location on N. May & Wilshire, but since I live right next to this location, I began taking it here instead. Boy, was this a mistake. The first time I brought it here, they basically manipulated me into getting certain parts and repairs that were unnecessary and very expensive. My wheel had been pulling to the right and they had to replace a part on my front end that was about $400. As soon as I picked up my car, the wheel was pulling to the left instead. They clearly did not do the job correctly. This was back in December and I never took it in to get that fixed because I never had the time to drop it off again. It wasn't a huge deal, as in, I don't think I was in any immediate danger from their shitty job, but still. I don't want to pay that much and still not have the problem solved. A few months later, I got a flat tire and took it here to get a new one. I should've known better but I figure they're tire guys so they can't possibly screw that up, right? Once again, I was taken advantage of for not knowing enough about cars. They replaced the tire and neglected to mention anything about balancing said tire. I didn't know I have to ask for a new tire to be balanced when it is replaced. I thought that was a standard part of the maintenance. Why wouldn't they have even mentioned that I would also need it balanced? They just let me drive off with it like that, unknowingly. I realized something else was wrong pretty quickly when my steering wheel would vibrate when going over the speed of 60 mph, because of this new tire that was not balanced. Once again, I didn't have a chance to take it to get fixed, until a week ago when my car suddenly died while I was driving to work. That's when I took it to Bob Howard Honda and was taken care of extremely well. They let me know that the alternator bolts had been loosened which is impossible to happen on its own and had to have been tampered with, at Hibdon, because I hadn't taken my car anywhere else. Overall, I had bad experience both times visiting this location and I'm not condemning Hibdon as a whole, but most definitely this one. I hope no one else has to subject themselves to the stress that comes along with repairs done improperly so I highly suggest not coming here! read more

I dropped my car off at Hibdon's on NW 23rd as the disc rotor backing plate was rattling. When I received a call from them - they indicated that my car needed left and right control arms and an alignment. All of which would cost $1,142.89. I thanked them for their time and drove out of there as fast as possible. I had major front end work done within the previous 10 months (less then 4,000 mile), prior to moving to OKC. I've heard of upselling, but this is absurdly ridiculous. I took my car to a frontend/brake specialist, Modern Wheel on W Main in OKC. Apparently 2 bolts which attached the backing plate were loose which was causing the rattle. They checked everything else out and could find no problem indicated by the trip to Hibdon's. The charge for their service was $40. I have been a customer of Hibdon's, off and on for years. I will no longer go there for anything. Attempting to rip off a senior citizen just does not sit well with me. I would advise anyone thinking of going to this location to go elsewhere, even if it is another Hibdon location. read more

I purchased a set of off road tires from Hibdon. I went in to get the "free" rotation and was told that the tires did not meet policy so they can not and will not service them at all. I stated I didn't need anything fixed just rotate and check for a leak in one of them. I had to ask a second time for them to check for a leak. Tire tech guy was great and empathic but the front desk woman was not. Her main focus was only to sell me new tires and not to service or rotate them, like I thought the warranty stated. So, make sure you read and understand "the lifetime warranty" this company offers and know they will NOT service your tires you bought from them if it doesn't fall under their scale of "serviceable tire"... Mind you, my tires are still useable but I guess she expected me to just toss them and buy new ones. I've had good experiences with other locations before and am a very loyal customer but this one definitely didn't live up to the type of service I normally get elsewhere. So not sure if she was just having a bad day or if this is their "policy" which if it is then don't waste your money on their tires if you're expecting any type of service... read more

Took my truck to be aligned after a repair I made to the suspension. I'm qualified to do this as a retired car mechanic of 50 years. I understood it might take a day or two to get to since I was a drop in. Second day I called @ 2:15 to check status. Was told there was 2 ahead of me but alignment should be done by 4 or so. Called again @ 5 (they close at 6) and said it was going on the machine and would be done by 6. Drove to store, saw truck in lot, was told it was next in. Waited 1/2 hour. Truck appeared inside but not hooked up for alignment. No one around. Got a call on my cell from service writer. Walked to counter where she started to tell me I needed a $1000 steering rack repair. I stopped her mid spiel. The rack is fine. I was being sold something I didn't need. They put tires on that truck less than 5000 miles ago. Didn't tell me about the rack then.....because it wasn't bad. I now know how people feel about auto repair places. Thieves at worst. Too lazy to do a proper job at best. After my low tire light came on 3 different times, and I brought it to 3 different places, I finally came here. The other stores just aired it up and told me to keep an eye on it. The mechanics here found a very sharp piece of concrete had punctured my tire, and they found it in just a couple of minutes. They were able to fix it, but because of the knowledge and kindness shown I won't ever go anywhere else. read more

Hibdon delivers the least expensive tires and offers a range of services. I'm happy for that but often they have to order tires from other stores which can take awhile. Also, there is often a line, even if you make an early morning appointment. I had an appointment to patch a leak at 8:00 this morning and after learning that I needed new front tires and alignment was out of there 2 1/2 hours later. read more
