Ordered by phone for pickup before a drive in movie night at the Mendon Drive In. Called ahead and by the time we got there about 20 minutes later our pizza was ready. With it being only a few miles from the drive in theater it was perfect! Quick service and ready right when they said it would be. Pizza was delicious, we ate it all up throughout the night of our double feature. This was our first time here and everything was excellent. I had the blackened shrimp lunch special and it was super. We came for lunch to eat and visit with relatives. All the staff was friendly and accommodating and honestly I couldn't tell you if they were fast or slow. They took the lead from our conversation and didn't rush us. That doesn't happen everywhere. I love this place. I have family in the area and this is the go to for subs/calzones/pizza. For years the area was dominated by bad greek pizza places(Harry's). This place was a breath of fresh air to the area. The calzones are unreal. Even something like the chicken fingers are better than your average place. The square pizza is excellent. Hideaway is a solid 4.5 stars. Pizza is solid, Calzones are really good, salads are as expected and the chicken tenders are insane. Don't waste your money anywhere else if you are in the mood chicken tenders and fries. You really cannot even call them tenders. They are like full-on fried chicken breasts...at least 2x larger than what you will get at your average pizza joint. The only place that I have experienced anything similar is at the Depot Street Tavern in nearby Milford, MA. They have a big menu, with everything from steak tips, to dinner platters to a great selection of appetizers. I would recommend the Hideaway to my friends and family without hesitation. Average food, super slow. I call my order in at 4:26, a large pepperoni pizza, large Italian sub, & an order of Buffalo wings. I also ask to have the celery and blue cheese in a separate container because they put the celery in with the wings and it cooks the celery by the time I get home. I get there about 4:50, the woman at the counter tells me it will be done in a few minutes. I stand there til 5:25, yup another 35 minutes. And I get home, celery is in with the wings..... food is ok, what you expect from a small town pizza place but definitely not worth an hour wait, especially when they tell you a half hour. read more

I've ordered from this pizza place probably about a dozen times. It's located in a fairly secluded area as the name suggests, but this isn't some diamond in the rough, hidden gem. It's pretty well known in the area, and it can get very busy and backed up. Just today actually I ordered a pizza, sub, and mozzarella sticks for take out, and it took an hour for it to be prepared. I overheard that deliveries were taking up to and hour and a half. However, all that aside, this has been a consistently good choice for pizza/subs/etc. I've yet to have a bad experience here. Prices aren't too bad either. There is seating inside but it is pretty limited. My recommendation is to just call well ahead of time (or alternatively you can also place an order online) and place your order, in the end you won't be disappointed. read more

So, in my opinion this place has the best pizza and wings around (order the wings extra crispy). The sampler platter is fried food heaven, and their homemade chicken fingers are delicious with the house made honey mustard. The only downside is, delivery takes at least an hour so ORDER AHEAD. The other downside is we've received someone else's order twice. I actually didn't mind the screw up though- we kept the order and it was great! All in all, I would recommend picking up your order and ask for them to repeat your order back to you when placing it over the phone. Great little place for a pizza or really anything else, big menu with all sorts of different Italian food as well as a full wing menu. Staff is super friendly, place is clean and service was prompt. We ordered the Greek Pizza, weighed in about 3 pounds, they don't skimp on ingredients. Very tasty, cooked just right and about as good a pie as we have had in the area since moving to Uxbridge. I would go back and try some of the other entrees and probably the wings, I am sure it is as good as the rest of the food offered there. read more

When i tried to call in my order I was put on hold for a long time, so I hung up, and placed my order in person. Friday evening I check the website to see when they are open until. I place an online order for delivery at 9:24 (open until 10). A calzone, wings, and fries. I am called back instantly and told that "we are no longer taking delivery orders" I asked if I could pick it up, I was told " Yes but they (the cooks) are leaving soon so they cant make the wings or fries" I clarified that the restaurant was open until 10pm and that it was currently 9:24pm. The woman on the phone verified the hours of operation and current time. She let me know that the restaurant was short staffed. If the cooks leave at 930... then they should close at 930. I often put up with long wait times and lines because the food is decent here. This was my last attempt. I give them 3 stars, because the food is good; most of the time. The wait time is another story. My husband ordered a pizza and a salad around 5:30, so around 6:30 he left to go pick up the food because they said it would be an hour. He gets there and the food wasn't ready. Ok, fine, it happens. He didn't get home until 7:00! We live a 1 minute drive from them! He told me that there were 8 people waiting in their cars for their food and they had to take the open sign down. I get it, they're busy, but the thing that really got me going was that when we opened the pizza box, it was luke warm and the bottom was soggy with grease. No one likes soggy floppy pizza. My assumption is that our food was sitting there for a while before they brought it out. This isn't the first time they lied about the wait time either. I have been going here for a few years and can honestly say despite the ok food and sometimes nice people, this place is a dump, pretty bad. DO NOT ORDER ANY SORT OF BEEF HERE. they are unable to cook it. I have received 5 or more burnt cheeseburgers and cheeseburger subs. The splotchy faced kid who works in the back ( looks like he's 14 or 15 years old ) makes loud rude comments about women. If you call on a busy day, they'll tell you it's going to be over an hour and try to convince you to go somewhere else. I have been going to this pizza shop since it opened when I was a kid. Growing up, my dad took my brother and I every Thursday night while mom worked. We have known all of the owners. I am now living in another town but still choose to come here. The food is always fresh and the staff always friendly. Highly recommend the broccoli wheels and calzones. I never splurge and order lunch to be delivered. Today was a busy day at work and I ordered a BLT wrap at Hideaway. When it was delivered, it was basically bacon in a wrap. It did not have mayo on it and very little lettuce and tomato. They are literally right down the street from my work. I called them to express my disappointment with the wrap. Order pizza on Halloween so that it would be here before the kids went out trick or treating. Needless say it never arrived. I called after an hour, they said it would be there any minute. Called twice more before finding out they delivered to the wrong house. This is of course after 2 hours. At this point I was angry and told them I wanted it free or a deep discount. She needed to talk to the owner and call me back. She calls back,not the owner, and offers $2 bucks off on a $22 bill. I canceled the order. Poor customer service.
