This place is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking, which is definitely convenient. That said, the food was on the pricey side-both the salad and chicken dishes were close to $20 each. At that price point, we expected better quality and were left a bit disappointed. Grilled Chicken Salad (4.2/5): The chicken was served cold, and the dressing tasted exactly like Kewpie Roasted Sesame dressing straight from the bottle. It was decent, but nothing stood out. Popcorn Chicken (4/5): The chicken was tender but lacked flavor and wasn't crispy at all. It also came with the same salad as the grilled chicken salad, which felt repetitive. Coco Matcha (3.5/5): The matcha was very grainy, bitter, and astringent. The coconut water seemed to be from a bottled product and had very little flavor. I was expecting something sweet, refreshing, and smooth, but it ended up being the opposite. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the food came out quickly. Overall, while the service was great, the food didn't justify the price for us, and we probably won't be coming back.

I had a magical, memorable experience at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights). I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). It's a brown sugar milk tea with caramel foam with a floating frozen milk tea bear. ADORABLE!! The set even includes two house-made cookies. WOW! TASTY!! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) on Wednesday (around 10:21AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

This cute cafe is tucked away in a plaza, so you need to park and walk to find it. I tried the Rose Latte, which was tasty with a slightly bitter flavor, it actually smell like roses. I also had the Coco Waffle, the coco was well balanced and not overpowering making it enjoyable. Decaf was not available. Prices are a bit high, but that's understandable these days. The atmosphere is relaxing with soft music and and a very pleasant vibe. It's in a predominantly Asian area, if that's helpful.

The cutest little hidden spot in Hacienda Heights. They have the cutest teddy bear boba ever and so yummy Also the service was phenomenal. Amazing customer service and recommendations from the staff. A beautiful little spot. Will definitely be back soon

This little hidden cafe specializes in matcha. All matcha lovers should definitely try this place. They also have a good food menu that includes breakfast and lunch. The Belgian banana Nutella waffles were so good. Great friendly service. Would definitely come back.

This was a cute spot for a lunch date. We got seated rather quickly for 2 people in the late afternoon, probably 1:30 pm? The interior decor was cute and cozy. large group sizes might not be as comfy inside, I think the largest comfortably could be 6. They have outdoor seating which is nice and could potentially fit a group of 6 there, too. Waiter was friendly and helpful and accommodated our needs when they came up. Onto the food~ We ordered the wagyu with fries, the berry waffle plate and the grilled chicken salad to share between the two of us. The portions were decent--it was enough for the two of us who were on empty stomachs. The meat is cooked to your preference for the wagyu as well as the egg. it was seasoned nicely and came with the chimchurri sauce. It was a little chewy but still tasted good. The grilled chicken salad was good, portion was rather small to share between two people but it still worked out. I liked the flavoring but I feel like the meat cuts could've been bigger. The berry waffle plate was a nice dish to share. It came with ice cream and egg custard. Great closing to our meal. For drinks--I ordered a cappuccino which was average. They provide you a liter of water for you to refill, which is nice! Parking is pretty easy. This place is inside the plaza and was fairly easy to find, too. Overall I think the food is decent, price wasn't too bad but the portions were quite small. I'd like to come back to try other things, too.

Hide Out Café is a cozy Asian-fusion spot known for its chill vibes, friendly service, and surprisingly creative drinks and dishes. In my visit, I treated myself to the café's adorable Boba Bear Set. A frozen milk tea bear served with a house-made cookie, plus an Osmanthus latte this latte was heart warming and delicious. For food I started with their fresh avocado dip and homemade tortilla chips, then enjoyed a basil-sautéed chicken with rice and salad for my main. To top it all off: churro and ice cream for dessert. Which had a house made whipped cream! If you're into cute drinks and comforting, tasty eats, this place offers a little escape from the everyday. Can't wait to go back for seconds and thirds! Tips: Lots of parking if you pull all the way around to the back lot where there is a parking structure!

I have only tried the drinks here. The interior is really cute. There are not a wide variety of options that I can have here being a diabetic but I came back ti get my friend a hot rose latte and a lavender latte. Service was great and very beautiful presentation with the hot coffee.

This cafe was not only adorable but the staff were so sweet and welcoming. The ambiance felt so fresh but like home. I love all the plants there and the decor. Plus seeing so many patrons using the cafe as a work space was great as it's a third space. We weren't able to stay long but the cafe's infamous Boba Bear Set was well worth the drive. Looking forward to visiting again!

Hide Out Cafe is super cute and has the sweetest customer service -- everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in! We ordered the Chimi Wagyu & Frites, and it was delicious -- tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the crispy fries. The Deep Fried Platter was a fun mix of popcorn chicken, onion rings, tenders, and mozzarella sticks -- great for sharing and super satisfying. For dessert, the Banana Nutella Waffle was a winner. Warm, fluffy, and topped just right. We also tried their Boba Bear set and Gummy Bear, which added such a cute, playful touch to the whole experience. Overall, it's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back with friends. Cozy vibe, yummy food, and genuinely kind staff -- what more can you ask for?

I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, and my first impressions walking in was the interior is clean and pleasantly warm. I ordered the creamy mala seafood pasta since it was the most unique dish on the menu. Service was good but nothing special. Creamy mala seafood pasta, 2.5/5: The pasta was inoffensively average. There were some bites that were creamy and some bites that weren't. I honestly thought it could use more cream or butter to add some more richness. The pasta itself was al dente. There wasn't much flavor overall with the dish, and the mala was very mild (for reference, I can handle medium spice levels at other restaurants). The seafood quality was okay for the price. Overall, I thought the ambiance was really nice, but the pasta I ordered was average at best. Maybe I will give this place a 2nd chance and try something else.

Owners are so nice and cool, one is the chef and the other is a pastry chef. Atmosphere and vibes were nice in a Saturday evening, but food could be a bit better. It's fine for a casual dining but nothing really stood out to me except maybe the Kale salad that was good and never really had it that way before. Brother enjoyed his food and was happy with everything. With that said, we will still come back because the owners and atmosphere are still worth the trip. Maybe will try something else on the menu next time.

Crab omelette fried rice: the best dish of the night! The crab and omelette are nicely cooked, not overly salty. The rice to egg+crab ratio is great. It is not spicy, the seasoning is just right. I highly recommend this. Mango sweet sticky rice: not bad, just alright. We think the sticky rice is too soft and soggy, not chewy enough. The coconut milk is served on the side so you can pour it based on your preference. The mango is perfectly ripened, very sweet. Tom Yum Noodle Soup with seafood: our least favorite dish. The noodle is very soggy, there's really no texture to it. I know there's the word "noodles" in their name, but we definitely do not remember this noodle option at all. The tom yum soup was not great either, the spiciness is way too strong, so you can't taste much of the sourness. The seafood variety was ok, there are shrimps, fish fillets, mussels, squid, and fish balls. The texture of the squids and fish fillets tasted a bit weird. Their service was nice though we got sorted at a corner, so we had a hard time getting the staff's attention. The restaurant has a very unique decorations. Their fried dishes are light, not greasy and leftovers re-crisp in the air fryer. Their lemon tea is refreshing and comes with 1 refill. If I had to recommend just 1 dish to try it would be the shredded chicken or the typhoon pork ribs (or fish if you prefer). Or just ask the ladies for suggestions and they'll lead you the right way. We finally decided to try Jazz Cat Cafe after always seeing it and talking about trying it, and…read moreoverall it was pretty disappointing. The service itself honestly wasn't bad at all. Since it was our first time there, we asked the waitress for suggestions on what to order and even how everything worked, and she was nice and helpful throughout the visit. One thing that already started the experience off confusing was that we were only given the regular menu with the QR code. Even though the all-you-can-eat option is advertised right at the front, nobody mentioned it to us at all. We only found out because we asked about it ourselves, and then suddenly they brought out a completely separate menu for the AYCE option. After trying it, I definitely don't think it was worth $40 per person. Another frustrating part was how ordering worked. There were three of us doing AYCE, and we asked for three different meats thinking we'd each try different items. Instead, they brought out three full orders of every single meat we mentioned without clarifying first. That immediately created pressure to finish everything because with AYCE you can get charged extra for leftovers. I really think they should ask customers if they mean one order of each item for the table or multiples of every item before bringing that much food out, especially for first-time customers. We tried the chicken, premium angus beef, and lamb. The chicken honestly had almost no flavor at all and felt pointless to even eat. The premium angus beef was decent, and the lamb was probably the best out of the three, but overall everything was still very bland. I don't eat pork, so we went with one of the vegetarian water-based broths since most of the others are pork based, and unfortunately that broth also tasted extremely plain. The sauces also didn't help much. Most of them had a really strong peanut flavor, and only one of the sauces was even decent, but it was still pretty bland overall. I honestly don't even know what any of them were because they just brought out multiple sauces without really explaining them to us. We even asked what we could add to spice things up and were given chili sauce, but somehow it still barely made a difference. I really wanted to like this place too because the food honestly looked great when it came out, but the flavor just didn't match the presentation at all. Their soda machine was also down during our visit, so there were no sodas available. On top of that, the table we were seated at felt really cramped and pushed right against the wall, which made eating uncomfortable. The restroom was another issue. When I went in, it was dirty enough that I had to clean up after someone else just to use it. The only real positive was that the all-you-can-eat option definitely filled us up, so we at least didn't leave hungry. I just wish the food had more flavor and spice because based on the pictures and the way people talk about this place, I expected a lot better.
