This company could easily get 5 stars but my vacation fell short of spectacular because of a couple…read moreoverlooked details...most importantly they failed to tell me that the cabin I booked was in an area that requires 4WD or chains in winter. We didn't find this out until it was too late. There was a warning sign on the road going up to the cabin which we didn't see on our drive in because it was dark - we saw it on our way back to the cabin after our first day out being tourists & then it started snowing. I have a large SUV (pathfinder) but it is not equipped with all wheel drive. The snow shower ended up becoming an unexpected snow storm that left us stranded on the mountain for 3 days. After a day & a half we ran out of food. I called the office and they sent someone in a 4WD vehicle to drop off some salt, a shovel, and some frozen pizza & muffins to hold us over. This all could have been avoided if we given notice to come prepared. I had so many things planned to do and we lost 3 days because the roads were covered in snow and ice and were too steep for my vehicle to climb in those conditions. On day 3, the snow and ice had melted enough that my husband was able to scrape tire paths in the road to allow us to escape. This took him hours of hard labor. I was traumatized from an unsuccessful attempt (with our vehicle losing traction, sliding backwards, & landing in the ditch) that by the time we got off the mountain I was too afraid to go back to the cabin again. I called customer service and told them we were checking out early & apologized because we didn't do the dishes & strip the bed before we left which was required in our contract. On the positive side: customer service is responsive & very easy to reach, the cabin was clean & well kept, the fireplace worked wonderfully & kept us warm, and their prices are fair. Like I said, had we not had such a bad experience trying to get off the mountain, they'd be getting 5 stars.

This was my third time to The mountains, first time using Alpine Mountain Chalets and enjoyed every…read moremoment of it. Customer service was great leading up to our arrival. We got a call the morning of our reservation to get our code to get into the cabin and they double checked to make sure we had the email they sent with directions since GPS will send you the wrong way. We stayed in "Little Bearadise" and it was amazing. Great views, not up any ridiculously steep hills, only a 20 min drive to Pigeon Forge and a 30-40 min drive to Gatlinburg depending on traffic. Everything inside the cabin was great, no WiFi though but for us, that's what we wanted anyway. Jacuzzi worked perfectly, had everything you need to make meals. Just make sure you bring nonstick spray for the pots and pans (learned the hard way). Bed was decent and wasn't as bad as others made it seem. Even though there is a cabin right next door, you still feel like you have a private and intimate atmosphere. Make sure you bring your own firewood and lighters, as well as charcoal since there is a small permanent charcoal grill out front. We will definitely be staying here again.

The views from every window and the multiple covered decks were spectacular, and we spent a great deal of time in the porch swings, rocking chairs, and the hot tub on the back deck. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, there is a very large walk-in pantry and two refrigerators, and there was a huge grill on the deck. The home is brand new and beautifully decorated. We had tons of room to spread own, with huge bedrooms and bathrooms, and the bunk room was so much fun for the kids! They pretended they were at sleep away camp, which made them so happy after their summer camps were all cancelled due to COVID. We played games at the game table in the gorgeous loft, played foosball and pool on the lower level, and giant checkers on the deck. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard, and there is a basketball hoop in the parking area. The home is quiet, secluded, and peaceful, but yet close to shopping, restaurants, and hiking trails when you want to venture out. We miss it already and hope to come back some day!

About an eighth of a mile up the road is a property marked Worsham property that has bear hunting With hunting dogs. Usually this is not an issue but last season some hunters did not adhere to their designated area and there were conflicts with homeowners in the Norton Creek area . This was documented with authorities. Dogs were hunting as well as hunters on residential land. If you are going to vacation here with children or pets please keep a watchful eye. Hopefully the hunters will be more responsible and respectful from now on.

We thought we had found the cutest hidden gem for our summer getaway. When we first pulled up and…read moresaw the property, we immediately started talking about coming back in the fall. We rented the property with the primary and secondary treehouses. The primary treehouse was acceptable. The counters hadn't been properly wiped down, and the bedroom had a musty, locker-room smell. I cleaned the counters and used some air freshener, so it was manageable. Unfortunately, the secondary treehouse, where our kids were staying, was a completely different story. There was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. At first it was noticeable but tolerable because the cleaners had left the bedroom windows open. Once it got hot and we closed the windows, the odor became overwhelming. Every time someone flushed the toilet, turned on the sink, or took a shower, the smell became nauseating. It was so bad that all of us were forced to use the bathroom in the primary treehouse instead. We reported the issue, but after eight hours with no response, we reached out again and were simply told they were sorry for the inconvenience. After spending a long, hot day hiking, we returned to find that the sewage smell had spread throughout the entire treehouse. Since no one had addressed the problem or offered a solution, we packed up and drove home that evening rather than stay another night. The following day, we were told that maintenance couldn't find anything wrong. That response was frustrating because the odor was impossible to ignore. It leaves me concerned that the issue may not be fixed before future guests stay there. The smell was so severe that we were genuinely worried about the health and safety of anyone sleeping in that treehouse. The company refunded us only half of one night's stay, even though we reported the issue much earlier in the day and ultimately had to cut our trip short. It's disappointing because the property itself is beautiful and has so much potential. Unfortunately, our experience with the condition of the secondary treehouse and the company's response means I would think twice before booking here again.

We had to work on the AC due to the filter hadn't been changed in months, the hot tub leaked so we had to keep filling it, the refrigerator wasn't cooling so we had to reset it and the dryer heating element was out in the dryer. We made numerous complaints through Vacasa and booking. Com. At no time were we offered any solution other than wait and see when a tech could come out. When you're on a romantic getaway you shouldn't have to work on things. I would not recommend this particular unit and will not book again. For $1300 you would think things would be in pristine condition. I'm very disappointed.

This was my first time staying in a cabin (item from the bucket list checked) and I was so happy & impressed. It's beautifully decorated and spaced out you can tell the owners poured love into this place and I'm happy I got to experience it!
