Alex is simply fantastic. He is honest, professional and knowledgeable. He was a breath of fresh air in comparison to prior appliance repairmen. I had issues with my dryer and the first company the home warranty sent was terrible- came in for two seconds (did not inspect the machine at all), charged me the service fee and left. The HW only covered part of the estimate they submitted so I complained and the HW company thankfully sent Alex- oh boy what a difference! He actually took the machine apart, properly diagnosed the issue, showed me the broken piece and then replaced it with a new one (less than an hour). I would give him ten stars if I could. read more

It was always a problem with this refrigerator and difficult to pinpoint. He was very responsive and very professional and did not give up. I would highly recommend him. We didn't use their service, they canceled it: be aware that if you have them scheduled for a service through one of the large appliances manufacturing websites, they will most likely cancel the service at the last minute if they hear that it is under the manufacturer 12 months warranty. Fidelity Home Warranty assigned this company to me. The company called me and said they would arrive between 3 pm and 6 pm today. After waiting all afternoon, at 6:10 pm, the company called and said he had an "emergency" in downtown Los Angeles and could get me 45 minutes after he finished with that. I ask what the alternatives were, and he said "sometime next week." I don't appreciate being told other customers are more important than me or that if I don't accept a service all late at night I have to wait until "sometime next week." read more

I read Yelp reviews before accepting my Home Warranty's assignment of this company. I dismissed the couple of 1 star reviews since the others were glowing. Yotam S.'s review is the closest to my experience. Before he showed up, we talked about my washer and that I believed it was a bad control panel. He looked it up and asked if I cared if he bought a new one on eBay. I said that I didn't care, but realized he was trying to make money off of the Home Warranty company by submitting an invoice for the higher retail cost. He appeared several days and 2 hours later than he said he would, spent about an hour looking at the machine and his repair manuals and finally agreed that he would replace the control panel and would come back the next week. (I was a little upset that he hadn't brought a control panel with him since we had discussed this on the phone.) I paid the service fee. During his visit, I offered him water and engaged in chit chat. In passing, I told him that I had to replace my washer about 12 years ago and that my Home Warranty cashed me out instead of trying to repair it. I bragged that I was able to replace the unit for far less than the cash out. A week passed with radio silence. I finally got a hold of him last evening and he told me that he interpreted what I said as if the price I paid 12 years ago for a replacement unit was less than the cost of a control panel. As such, he recommended to Fidelity that they cash me out for $300. Are you kidding me? First, you cannot replace any washer for $300, no matter how cheap the brand or Labor Day sale. I asked him if I had told him I replaced the washer for $50, would he have told that to the Home Warranty company and recommended that they cash me out for $50? He said YES! Can you believe this guy? My belief is that he wants to be on the Home Warranty list of approved contractors such that he thinks by screwing the consumer, (see Yotam's review and Shaun's review), he is endearing himself to the Home Warranty company. I have asked my Home Warranty company to remove him from their approved list. If High End Appliance is ever assigned to you, you really need to ask for a different contractor. I was so please with the service from high end appliance. I had a washer full of water that would not drain, making it somewhat of an urgent situation. Alex the man that i spoke to did everything he could to arrange to fit me in that day. I'm not sure if he worked late to help me out, but he can't that evening and fixed my washer right away. ALEX turned out to be the oddest, nastiest, rudest serviceman I have encountered. His company was sent to my house to repair my refrigerator that was not cooling properly. He came by and worked on it for a couple hours and said that it was fixed and that it had a 90 day warranty. The next morning, the refrigerator was not cooling. I called him back and told him and he said he would be back to the house that afternoon. I asked him for a more definitive time and and he said "after 6". At 6:30, I call him and ask how far away, he said he was 20 minutes away. I call him back at 7:15pm, to ask where he was, he told me that he was on a job about 11 miles away. I said, "an hour ago, you told me that you were 20 miles away. He says, he said he thought he was talking to someone different and told me that he was just finishing up a job. I told him that I had been waiting for me and he then starts yelling and says, "I don't like your attitude and I am not coming!" And then he hangs up on me. I call him back and remind him that on the contract, he wrote that he has a 90-guarantee of his work. He said, basically, that was too bad and that he wasn't coming and HANGS UP FOR A SECOND TIME. Then I call him back and said I wanted my money back. He said, that he did a lot of work and that he was just going to transfer it to another company. I told him he need to give me my money back and he HANGS UP A THIRD TIME. At first, Alex was very pleasant and then, his attitude just flipped with rage and those types of personalities, of course, are unprofessional, but, also, very concerning. read more

I had an issue with my washing machine and he took time to carefully diagnose the issue. I was serviced by Alex from High-End Appliance Service and I'm shocked and offended by what happened. First off the issue wasn't resolved, Alex mentioned that he will order the correct parts to fix the issue and then the waiting game began. Secondly, after waiting for nearly two weeks I decided to check up on the issue to find out that he submited a report to my insurance stating that my issue was a prexsisting condition, which he could not have known and is a complete fabrication. ALEX LIED! As if all of that wasnt difficult enough I've called Alex to disucss this issue to find out that he doesnt recall any of this, as if he never even met me before. Alex was assigned to us via a warranty company and was excellent. It was an emergency call during covid times for our refrigerator which had just been stocked days before and was at risk of losing it and having another dreaded market trip. Not at all surprised this company has glowing reviews. We're always a little nervous when our Home Warranty sends service to the house - it can be really hit or miss, and our expectations are usually pretty low. We couldn't have been more surprised when they sent us Alex from High-End. He arrived promptly, immediately diagnosed the problem with our Bosch dishwasher, and within a few minutes had fixed the problem. It has been working correctly ever since. I was distressed after moving into my new home and only two months later my cook top igniter stopped working. I was referred to Alex through my home insurance to get the igniter fixed. Alex was polite and professional in getting my cook top fixed, and after installing a used spark module from Ebay that unfortunately was not working, he came back with a functional part that did the trick. You need to fire Alex. First I had an appointment schedule for Monday at 1:30. Alex didn't call until 5:05 pm to tell me he forgot. So we decided on Saturday at 1:30 pm. He doesn't call me until 3:27 to tell me he was on his way. Then he gets there and could only find a parking spot 3 blks away.He refused to park there and told me he was cancelling the call. I don't live in a bad neighborhood., and what I need replaced was something he could have put in his pocket. I immediately notifed Sears of what happened.He was contract out through them.
