So with that in mind I feel a certain sense of accomplishment by checking this particular brewery off of my list. The beer that Steve and I had and enjoyed was the Broken Auger Lager. A very appropriate beer as the weather heads in it's steadily warming state for this time of year. But in actuality lagers are good anytime of the year for us. Flavor features with this particular beer are a naturally sweet flavor along with a bit of sour with a clean aftertaste. The beer is light bodied and smooth which is an extra plus!

I don't believe a customer should be threatened or accused over a negative opinion. Based on my experience, I did not feel safe, and I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously.

Another pet peeve: one diner is finished with their meal and they come to clear dishes while the other person is still eating. This was not necessary; there was no wait and the place was at least half empty. Haven't experienced this at Tavery before and hope this was a one time off afternoon. They didn't take my name, which is my biggest coffee shop pet peeve, but luckily it wasn't busy so I was able to hear when they called out my drink. The latte was good and I could tell the espresso was high quality. Unfortunately I couldn't get the wifi to connect, so it's a good thing I had my book with me. The table I chose (high top with metal chair) was not super comfortable and part of the table was broken, so it was a little precarious. The bathroom was clean. It's a cool concept, as they also have a bar serving beer and wine, and it looks like a nice community space with events. And it's dog-friendly. If I lived in the area I think I would come here often!

Aesthetically, each table feels like a meal at a family dinner table; it's clear that they wanted that vibe to be translated, and it's done quite well. This is also supported by the service being very friendly and helpful in general. To eat, I had the French toast burger with sweet potato fries. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.
