First time at an upscale steakhouse. My friend suggested this place after a concert at The Venue. There were 4 of us. We came 45 mins before closing and were seated at the bar even though we wanted a table. No biggie. The restaurant was a bit dark for my liking but can be an intimate for date nights. My friend recommended the dry aged bone in ribeye as it is different from a regular ribeye steak. My sister and I shared our meal. We ordered the bone in ribeye and broccolini. Omg, the ribeye was so tender and moist. It was really good but a bit too salty and had a lot of fat. The broccolini was bit undercooked. The stems were hard and almost raw still. The complimentary breads were good. The one with the raisins was the best. Service was great and attentive. We were not rushed even though they were closing. read more

Their gluten free rolls are heavenly. It's so hard to find fresh and hot gluten free bread at restaurants and theirs is always delicious and steaming. On happy hour, I order their steak sliders with no bun and replace it with the GF rolls as they don't have this option on the menu. They used to have more happy hour options that I'd come every couple weeks for. However since reducing the HH menu, yesterday was my first time back in a long time. I'd give 4.5 stars for this reason if I could! The Gorgonzola crusted filet is my go to for a dinner because it's so flavorful and it pairs nicely with multiple of their wine selection. Tasted just as great this time as it used to. I've seen some of the same faces in there for years so they must treat their employees well. The service is usually pretty good. Definitely a different atmosphere in the bar from the restaurant. If you're coming for the service, sit in the dining room, if you're coming to watch a game, sit in the bar. if you're coming for food you can't go wrong with either. read more

We were going to go to Morton's - but we remember our last experience at high steaks a kit two years ago - the steak was incredible! So we decided to go there Well - a bit disappointed. Service was still great. The bottle of wine recommended was great. Oyster was fresh and wonderful the vinegar sauce was superb Side dishes were ok. Truffle fries and Mac and cheese The tomahawk steak was bland and gray in color. Not enough sear I had to ask for the vinegar and rock salt to make it better It's never good when you find yourself saying "it's good if you eat it with the salty Mac and cheese"we drove more than an hour and Morton's Dawson's and Ruth Chris were closer Disappointing! We came to Hugh Steaks for my husband's birthday. Our server Ronney was the best. She recommended the pork chop with huckleberry sauce to the hubby. He also got Caesar salad, French onion soup and creamed spinach. I got filet mignon and a baked potato with all the fixings. Restaurant is packed today so it is a little loud. You can still hear your conversation but I prefer when it is a little quieter. Ronney also let us know about desserts and as soon as she said lemon cheesecake I was like yup that is what I want. We dined on Saturday 11/30/2024. First, our server ALEX was AMAZING! Friendly, great customer service and made sure to check in with us on where our table was in the line up in the kitchen. The space itself was friendly, warm and clean. Great job! The bacon wrapped shrimp were super delicious. The bread was as well. The burger was good, my sister said worth every penny. Now i had a porter house and it was disappointing! There was no seasoning on the meat at all. It was soggy. The "oscar style" was literally just the sauce, as you can see there was barely any crab meat, def not a fam of the sauce. I was happy to have the asparagus strips but they were so soggy from the meat run off, the sauce, over all it was def not worth the extra 29$ for it. Overall i wouldn't go back because spending over 500$ for what i expected to be exceptional (been wanting to go for a few years now) since there is no reservations usually available, not worth it for me. Stopped by high steaks for my birthday. Service was great. Our waitress was amazing (Thanks Ronney!) Pork chop was absolutely amazing. The only downside to this visit was I ate too much! The chocolate mousse came out with a candle for my birthday dessert. Completely unexpected at that. Staff was great, and all of them wished me a happy birthday as well. We didn't tell them it was my birthday, they already knew, so someone ratted me out in advance, but it was super nice for them all to say happy birthday. I've dined at High Steaks before, usually as a guest of a tribal member, and always had great experiences. But my recent visit on October 25th was a huge letdown. We had a 7:30 PM reservation to celebrate my birthday and engagement. I ordered the lobster tail, which came out undercooked -- the manager agreed and sent it back, but after waiting 25 minutes, it never returned. My guest had already finished eating, so I decided not to wait any longer. They waived the corkage fee and offered a dessert, but it didn't make up for the lack of attention or care on what should've been a special night. For a fine-dining restaurant inside Thunder Valley, the service fell far short of expectations. I visited Sky River Steakhouse two days later and had an incredible experience -- perfectly cooked lobster, great service, and professionalism. High Steaks used to be one of my favorite spots, but after this, it's clear there's room for serious improvement. I truly hope management reads this and reaches out -- guests celebrating milestones deserve far better. read more

Visited This restaurant on my birthday, November 8, 2025, after the Diana Ross concert. The group I was with just wanted to sit at one of the tables and order glasses of wine. It was 11:00 pm and knew that there was no more service for food. The manager, Ayahon (spelling of name may be incorrect) was nice enough to clear a table for us to sit, enjoy wine, and socialize for two hours. I will definitely return to this restaurant to enjoy the wonderful food, ambiance, and warmth which was shown to us. read more

I love the design of this restaurant. Very nice. If they're going to have you wait, they should have some better and more benches to sit on. Attract more people showing that the wait is worth it. Unfortunately it's not. I'm not saying the food wasn't good. It was good. But I've have a better steak for less than $20 cooked at home. It was the best steak I've had dining out though. Went here for a date night which did not disappoint. Pros- food is tasty, drinks are good, service is excellent, ambiance is great (for inside the restaurant only). Crab cakes were good but not the best I've had. I expected a little more for the price point. Ordered the lamb chops which were yummy. Highly recommend if you like lamb. I've had the Wagyu here before which was delicious but I might have to say the lamb is even better than that!! Perfectly cooked and charred to perfection on the outside. Which is saying a lot (I love wagyu steak). The drinks were good but nothing extraordinary, and the dessert was delicious! My partner wasn't a fan of the dessert since it was "creamy" but I loved the play on a lemon cheesecake dessert. Cons- the restaurant is not accessible easily from the front as we discovered. We got dressed up for a date night as usual, but were forced to walk through the casino, which smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, from the self parking garage as there is literally no other parking and we weren't about to pay for valet. No point getting dressed in nice clothes if you're going to smell like cigarettes. It would be nice to have another access point or parking lot on the front of the restaurant. Be ready to have a heavy bill as you are paying for the service and quality. Overall, I don't anticipate coming back here anytime soon since the parking problem is an issue and the price can be beat in downtown for fine dining as well. read more

The prices outrageous for the horrible food served. The bill $415 included a $54 hamburger that was not even eaten the bun was stale the meat tasted horrible. $195 for 8oz sirloin steak and lobster that was so rubbery and unflavorable I literally chewed and chewed until I spit out into my napkin. Macaroni and cheese was flavorless. The waiter asked if we wanted to go boxes and we declined. The service was excellent though but the food was really awful and the prices were so inflated it really was a bummer to pay that much money for a meal that was not eaten nor boxed to take home. I will never go back there again. That is my second time eating at this restaurant the last time was eight years ago and the food was awful then as well. This was our second time dining here, and it definitely did not disappoint! We came in on a Friday night before heading to a concert at The Venue, and it was the perfect start to a great evening. The fresh bread to start was a delight, and the Amuse-bouche was a welcomed surprise that set the tone for the meal. We ordered the oysters, and they were incredibly fresh. The Mignonette sauce was an ideal pairing -- tangy and refreshing! For the main courses, we opted for the prime rib and the A5 Waygu steak. The prime rib was cooked exactly to the temperature my partner ordered, and the Waygu... wow. It was hands down the best steak I've ever had in my life. It was so tender I could probably cut it with a butter knife, and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. We were too full for dessert after such a satisfying meal, but we were gifted a lovely complimentary chocolate toffee-type dessert that was a great end to the evening. The service was good overall; we were greeted promptly for drinks, but there was a bit of a wait before our server came to take our order. Once he arrived, though, he was attentive and friendly. It's a bit loud, but that's expected in a casino setting. Despite that, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back! Ate there last night. I have never had a worse fillet are a restaurant. Asked for medium rare and it was more on the over medium. Told server it was over cooked and he said oh it's right it's just the way we cook it in an infrared cooker. It was more like over cooked in a microwave My husband got the prime rib and it was absolutely horrible. He ate a couple bites. He could barely cut the thing it was so tough. Oh to top it off the mashed potatoes were Like soup. Boxed mashed potatoes with too much water and throw some dried chives on it to fancy it in. It was like baby food. So disgusting. Happy Valentines !! lol tonight we celebrate an early valentines dinner because I will be leaving out of the country for 3 weeks. Yes I will miss everyone especially my wife. So yes, I have reserved initially @7:30 pm but since we're hungry I change reservation at 6:15 pm. Still got there early and the hostess didn't mind seating us early (there was plenty of tables available . We share a 19 pound bone-in Ribeye with mash potato and steamed asparagus. Before that there were dinner rolls and bread to get started. Our server was very cheery and nice . The place is located inside thunder valley. Our food was delicious we added crab toppings on our steak. Lastly, we had crumb brûlée. A couple of bites of that I'm good (too sweet) we took our dessert home. Anyway it was a good night read more

Ok,ok,ok; I'm still low key drunk writing this. But this place was pretty damn good in terms of food and drinks The steaks melt in your mouth like ice cream, the drinks hit harder yet taste smooth like crème le fresh. We ordered the 12oz sirloin and the porterhouse t steaks with the broccolini as a side. The main food courses were top tier and tasted heavenly. For our drink we got a glass of moscato D'ASTI sweet but not crazy sweet yet refreshing and delicious, followed by the metadata mule and watermelon margarita. Topped off with a classic shot of mezcal. Both got us feeling extraterrestrial. Highly recommended them. For dessert we ordered the lemon cheesecake and that topped off the night. Bumping my review from 4 stars to 5 and here is why ..........when you sit down at the table with some old buddies you haven't seen in ages and your rich buddy says "dinner is on me". I was invited to the New Years Eve High Steaks Prix Fixe dinner. Our reservation was at 9pm and we were seated promptly when we showed up 10 minutes early. The place was decked out in NYE decor, as was the casino. Staff is always amazing. Along with dinner and dessert, we were each given a glass of champagne to ring in the new year. Let me start off by saying this restaurant is truly a great restaurant. I will say that I prefer their daily menu as I was not very impressed with the options for this event. I will focus my review on the Surf and Turf as it is the only item that is on their daily menu. The lobster was amazing, it was cooked perfectly and as usual, so was the filet. The texture of the potatoes were as if they were mashed, but they weren't. Extremely delicious. Every other dining experience I have had here is rated 5 stars. They are very accommodating to dietary needs. My favorite thing to order is their vegetarian pasta (not on the menu) and their Yukon Gold Puree. The filet mignon and Caesar salad are in the rotation of orders as well. read more

Came in early on a Tuesday, was sat almost immediately and shortly thereafter had our drink orders taken, and our bread brought out. The service was impeccable, the server made sure she thoroughly explained the different menu items we ordered, as well as went over the chefs tasting he brought out, and the different breads. She did an amazing job going over the ingredients and preparation of the items. The ambience is very elegant and offers for a great night experience with the perfect lighting for any occasion. The food was delicious, very impressive. The bread was great and offered a variety of different flavor profiles to try from. The Ahi Tuna was perfectly charred on the outside, and served with a sauce that added a nice kick. The crust and char added some texture that complimented the rawness of the inside. The chopped salad was incredible, real bacon and high quality blue cheese crumbles. Generous amount of each ingredient in the salad and adequately chopped. Definitely got full off the salad alone, will probably only order the salad next time. (It is huge) I followed that up with the Herb Roasted 1/2Chicken, yes it is actually 1/2 a chicken. It was perfectly roasted with some great texture on the skin, had splendid flavor and was perfectly juicy. Subsequently I had the Chocolate Mousse Cake, it was very decadent and served with a berry dressing on the side, which added some additional flavor. The cake itself was very dense but didn't make moisture, it had a chocolate exterior and was very sweet and rich. Lastly, the chef came around with complimentary Salted Dark Chocolate Toffee, which truly was the nail in the coffin for a great experience. We would like to thank everyone at High Steaks at TV for a great experience celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were greeted with "happy anniversary" from everyone we spoke with and were treated really well. The restaurant itself is very chic and they have great chairs. I'd like to add that our host that sat us at first was going to seat us in a booth, and she pulled our whole table out for us to scoot on in there, which was a nice touch. We did ask to sit at a normal table as we have bad backs, and she happily sat us at a table. Our server Orest was knowledgeable, friendly and prompt, and if something was off, he made sure to make up for it thoroughly. We had our bread spread which had a a wide variety of rolls and lavosh, (I loved the pumpkin seed lavosh and cheese/jalapeno rolls). We then were treated to a turkey pate and pickled cranberry amuse bouche, which was a welcoming touch that made us feel VVIP. We split the rest of our meal which consisted of the sweet corn&lobster chowder (super rich and luxurious, 1 bowl split was more than enough for 2), the seared rougie foie gras (wish it was cooked a little more mid-rare, but appreciated that they split this for us and plated it, really good huckleberry gastrique), and for our main entree, we split the bone-in ribeye which was sliced and cooked to perfection and served with a tellicherry peppercorn/beef tallow sauce which was so so decadent and Yukon gold potato puree (so buttery, so smooth). Our soup, entree and side were actually so large, we ended up taking some home. We were then treated to a complementary celebration dessert! It was a raspberry mousse eclair-like dessert encased in chocolate and sat next to a candle just for the special occasion. We felt super taken cared of! We wanted to try a little more dessert and ordered the pineapple tepache, which was super different and very interesting. If you're into fermented fruits, this is something that might be right up your alley. The pineapple tepache did take some time as they had to make a component freshly for us as they were out, but we were treated to some super tasty chocolate toffee while we waited. High five Orest, we appreciate the love! Overall, this was such an amazing experience and we would love to come back again at some point, even just for desserts and apps, I think it would still be a fun time! Went here for my son's birthday, to threat him to a nice dinner! We waited for about 10 minutes since we arrived a tad early from our reservation time. Was seated exactly at reserved time. Our server was attentive and quick in bringing our food and drinks. Food was really good, but it goes with the place I guess; expensive! We paid close to $250 for just the 2 of us. We ordered 2 main courses, and 3 side dishes. Definitely a nice place for special occasions but not regular go to because of their pricing. But, if you can afford their prices, then why not? Make sure to order the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp and the mashed potatoes (Yukon Gold Potato Puree). I went for the Tuesday Happy Hour because I am not rich or lucky. Even so, I ended up spending over $80 including tip! I splurged getting a Happy Hour red wine, a Happy Hour appetizer, the $27.95 Tuesday Prime Rib special, a half side of Yukon Gold Potato Puree, and the fanciest dessert on the menu. Happy Hour is only served in the bar area from 5 PM to 7 PM. When I signed in, I was told to come back in 15-20 minutes, but my table was actually ready in 5-10 minutes. I didn't need to venture away from the waiting area. Dining room looks upscale with its stony brick columns and ruby and warm color palette. Bar area has windows looking out into the casino. I enjoyed the complimentary bread basket, which includes an assortment of warm bread and huge triangular seeded cracker. One of the breads was sourdough. I ordered the Happy Hour Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp because the server said it was his favorite, So yummy!!! Three perfectly cooked giant shrimp wrapped in perfectly cooked bacon drizzled with a delectable brandy-dijon sauce. I would go back for this. I would also go back for the Yukon Gold Potato Puree. It was the most divine mashed potatoes I've ever had! Creamy, smooth, delicious perfection. I wished I had ordered a full portion, instead of half. I ordered the prime rib medium. It seemed cooked a little over medium to me. I'd suggest ordering medium rare if you want a more tender, reddish meat. The Tuesday prime rib special is a good deal, but not the best prime rib I've ever had. No sides come with the Tuesday prime rib special, but fortunately, you're allowed to order half portions of the sides (a.k.a. Table Shares). Because I love marshmallow, I ordered the High Steaks S'mores dessert. All the desserts were the same price of $12, but this one was the showstopper. Served in a shallow bowl of liquid nitrogen, the dessert is enveloped in a white fog. Dessert sits on a black stone square plate supported by smaller round rocks. Server torches the marshmallows for you to your desired burntness. Marshmallow cubes sitting on chocolate-wrapped brown cubes (made of caramel? brown sugar? brown marshmallow?) sitting on graham crackers sitting in a pool of marshmallow cream! Too sweet for me, but such a thoughtful, beautiful creation. My server Stephen was very friendly, talkative, helpful, and willing to serve. I was a bit nervous that most of the servers weren't wearing masks in February 2022, but half of the Thunder Valley casino patrons weren't either. read more

I had reservations so as soon as I got there, I gave them my name and was seated promptly. While walking to the table I noticed a nice bar area. It looked really elegant. I was seated down to a table After we were given menus and our waiter got her beverages. I opted for a ribeye steak, scallop potatoes, and the macaroni. I ordered the steak medium well and it came out looking like very well. I had to stop eating halfway through because there was a lot of blood oozing and I just can't do that. The macaroni was decent. I've had much butter, for what it's worth I wouldn't get again. The scallop potatoes were really good. I think I would go back just for that. There was complimentary bread and butter. There's a lot of steak houses in the area. I think I would just stick with my normal one, then come here again. The staff was friendly and well attentive. As others said it was very dark inside.
