Hubs went back to get the much needed deep pressure massage from Jennifer at The Spa Simply Skin. Both Elena and Jennifer were present to greet him. The ambiance of the room was serene as it was before. He keeps telling me about the nice Buddha in the massage room. Jennifer asked if the headrest area was ok was comfortable this time before proceeding. This time she asked about the massage pressure and if it was firm enough. She worked on getting his knots out which was greatly needed. She used a tool on his hands up/down his forearm that he said made him feel really good. He does repetitive work with his hands (handy electrician) and this helped relieve tension. I love love love this place and Sierra! First of all a very convenient location! The atmosphere inside is nice and relaxing. The best of all is the service. Sierra is amazing at what she does and I really doubt there is anything she does that is short of great. I have been going to her for waxing and has never left dissatisfied. Painless service, great results. She has a great easy going personality and will make you comfortable during your waxing. I have also recently had her cut my hair. I am absolutely in love with my new cut. I am super duper picky as far as what I like, but I let her just go for it and listened to her suggestions to what she thinks would look good on me. I am so glad I did. The real test to a cut is when you have to blow dry it yourself. Well, I am very very happy as I was able to keep the shape of my cut with just normal blow drying without any tricks. I highly recommend Sierra. Been seeing Annalisa for (oh my gosh) five years?! Time has flown by. Anyways, I followed her from European Wax for my Brazilians and never looked back. She's amazing and quick, she makes you feel comfortable, puts the right amount of after pressure when waxing tough spots. She's a doctor. She knows what she's doing. Usually 15 minutes for a Brazilian when your hair gets in the correct cycle from seeing her every four weeks. Before I found Anna, let me tell you, I have some horror stories and 'Nam flashbacks where my eyes start to twitch. I have never had pain issues when Anna waxes me, like I have had with others. If she ever chooses a different career in life, I'll be screwed and my downstairs will replicate the 70's. Let's not do that again. I can't stress how much I enjoy seeing Anna every four weeks. People look at me nuts when I say that but it's truly been a blessing and positive note finding someone as skilled as her. Repeat customer for life! read more

Lauren is efficient, thorough, professional, and delivers a fantastic waxing experience. I'd had bikini waxes before, but this was my first Brazilian (I got the Groupon - fantastic deal!). She was very sweet and welcoming, and put me at ease. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes, tops, and was very comfortable compared to other waxing experiences. Yes, it's unavoidable to have a little bit of pain with a Brazilian, but I don't have an abnormally high pain tolerance and this WAS my first full Brazilian wax. Honestly, I'd say 75% of the process was merely uncomfortable rather than outright painful. Lauren is very personable and extremely good at what she does. I have recommended her to 2 friends already, and plan on going back myself...actually already pre-purchased three more waxes for myself! read more

Sierra is so welcoming and professional. She makes you feel at ease. She is efficient and effective. Not only does Sierra do a fantastic job at waxing, but also does a phenomenal job at haircuts and coloring. She did my hair and did exactly what I wanted. I did not want to go through a "chain" experience--for me the place, and especially the personnel needed to be right. A good friend recommended High Tide Salon, and she told me I would LOVE the experience. WOW! She was right. Lauren made me feel welcome, is so nice and she made me comfortable and glad to be there. I refused to try waxing and someone recommended I try Lauren here...& I've been a loyal customer ever since. I don't think I can get a wax from anyone else now! Also, offers Loyalty Program options for discounts! The salon itself is very aloha feeling and beautifully decorated. I'm also quite obsessed with the Life Elements Honey products she sells there! The Everyday Skin Repair is my now go-to for all of my dry skin needs whilst out and about and the Healing Honey Body Oil is perfect for my skin post shower/bath. I love this salon! Each suite has its own little design and it's seriously the cutest. I highly recommend going to Lauren Barber! I have been her client for months now and I couldn't be happier with my results each time I leave the salon! I get my arms, eyebrows, and brazilian waxed and have never had a single complaint. After going to a budget-type of place that was in the back of a nail salon and coming out with too-thin eyebrows due to a language barrier, I vowed not to repeat that mistake! I pulled up the text thread which shows not just one reply but TWO that I sent to her. She denied ever receiving my messages. I did not receive a text or phone call from neither her or the salon, canceling my appointment. After reading the reviews on here, appointment canceling seems to be pretty standard for this place. Trust me, don't waste your time going here. What terrible customer service and poor reflection on the salon. I left completely having wasted my time and feeling very upset by the entire ordeal. What a couple of employees can do to a business, unbelievable. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.
