My overall experience has been a nightmare! I had a horrible experience , with both male doctors. The Caucasian man should retire! the entire time he was working on my mouth, he couldn't control the shaking of his hands, and he never filled my tooth ( which he falsely stated that he did in the notes ) . I had to come back 3x just to be properly cleaned. the Indian man, ruined two of my teeth by shaping them down too small.all he did was converse with the dental assistant about the her leaving to go be with another dentist. very unprofessional! Once i noticed my teeth, I complained right away! Instead of them taking accountability the representative stated that she was new, & I had a past due balance, For no shows and what my insurance didn't cover. she also stated that the doctor is willing to fix it but I have to pay the balance. which is another lie! I work near the office, so I told the representatives I can come in to get more of an understanding and provide my receipts. She stated she didn't feel comfortable . after she made that statement, I knew she was a Karen !! Which is very unfortunate.. I do not recommend this dentist! the customer service is terrible and the quality in care is too. if you want add to your bills, have your integrity questioned , and be unhappily satisfied, BooK HERE! I came here a few years ago to attend to my teeth that haven't been touched for a while. I had root canals and a lot of fillings done while I was a patient here. Overall the service was ok at best. They were good at rescheduling appointments, however their estimates for my insurance coverage vs my actuals were terrible and was one of the main reasons why I didn't want to deal with them anymore. *a few years pass and no dental work is done* I recently wanted to get my teeth looked at and tried a new dentist, after my X-ray my new dentist recommended me to go to a endodontist because he noticed an infection where my root canals were done. He also reccomended for me to get some of my fillings redone as they were chipped. Just came back from my appt from endodontist and it turns out my root canals were done improperly causing an infection that is currently impacting my bone and is impacting my sinuses as a result. I'll have to get both of them redone with new crowns as the ones here were improperly fitted and there is a gap on the top of my tooth which has made it hard to floss. Just beware! And if they recommend a root canal to ask for a referral to a place that can do them right the first time read more

Quick appointments and good followup, but I wasn't too happy with the service/procedures. Came in next day because my tooth had chipped from an old cavity finally giving in. I was told a year ago that I needed a crown, but never got around to in. I was leaving for vacation a week later for 3 weeks out of country, so I guess you could say I was limited on time and options. After the consultation, their first recommendation was crown. Not even an offer to pack and fill for a temporary fix until I could get back. Okay...they get straight to the point. I didn't like them already. On top of that, a crown out of pocket cost close to 1,400 there for the buildup and everything. Almost double of everywhere else. I asked my boyfriend to check with his dentist, but since it was like 8 am, we weren't able to get a quick response in time. I read people pretty well I think, and my first impression of the clinic was money grubbing clinic... I had my temporary crown done same day, without price checking around, which I now regret. I think they gave me some topical numbing gel and that was it, no shots to grind down my tooth, etc. This is important to remember for later... All in all, I'm happy with the crown, turnaround time, etc. I was able to come in the morning I fly out to have the permanent crown placed it. Fit like a glove. I came back a month later for a cleaning, at which time, they recommended a deep cleaning. I have deep gum lines or something, so I'm familiar with it. Only when they did it here, there were 4 tubes of the liquid for the injection needle, and they stabbed me at least 6 different places in my mouth. For a deep cleaning? When I saw the needle, I asked if it was required as I hate needles and they said yes. My son had a filling done the week after, and he said they did the same thing to him. They shot him to the point he thought his jaw was broken as he'd never in his life had that done before and wasn't sure how it felt when the numbing was wearing off. I guess when it goes through insurance, they try to bill every penny they can or something. Think I'm going to be switching dentists for my next cleaning. read more

Who likes the dentist? My wife and i brought our 2 year old, twins girls into Highland Dental Center for their first check-up. I was worried about how they would react since they are very particular about even letting my wife brush their teeth, but this has to happen. It was amazing. The visit couldn't have gone any better. Honestly. See my pics... The staff made the check-up fun and interactive. From the glasses the girls get to wear, to the application of the "yummy" strawberry flavored fluoride. Which by the way, my daughters asked for more. Let me not forget about the treasure chest of small toys, which children get to choose from upon completion of their check-up. In short, Dr. Rekhi has been my families dentist because of the amazing work he does, the clear explanation of work to be done, if any, and the family friendly approach by him and all of his staff. Honestly I haven't been to the dentist in a very long time so I knew I was going in there to find out bad news. My tooth filling fell out three years ago and finally it started to hurt so I had to go in. I just moved to the area so didn't know what to expect. They had the best customer service the two girls at the front desk were so nice and definitely helped my decision on doing the work. I had to get a root canal done but it was awesome that they did it same day so my pain would go away. A lot of places only let you do a check up then schedule for the work to be done. Price was high 2400 all together but they did a great job. And the Dr was super nice and very patient with me as I was freaking out about having to do a root canal. I'm glad I chose this place. This is the WORST dentist I've ever been to for a number of reasons. Normal dentist office give our a bag with new toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. either your very first visit or every visit and this dentist doesn't, they don't give you anything. I went in for my first deep cleaning and they give you numbing shots, the guy who gave the shots in my mouth told me I would only be numb for an hour after my appt then I could eat/drink. I knew something wasn't right when during the cleaning I couldn't even open my mouth by myself, they had to do it for me. I had my appt at 11am and was still numb at 5pm. I struggled to eat and drink and ended up with a migraine. This has never happened to me at a cleaning or afterwards. Definitely a RED FLAG. Lastly, I had a couple appts booked within a two week timeframe and could not make them due to covid. I called and left multiple messages and no one called me back. Then a week later I got a voicemail from someone at their office saying they would no longer see me as a patient because of missed appts. I guess they want people coming in who have been exposed and are in quarantine, and also don't check their messages. Then I called and the receptionist just wanted to argue about everything. Stay away from this dentist! The "TLDR" version of this is that they tried to scam my insurance as well as care credit for procedures I didn't need. They were rude, and constantly rescheduled my appointments because they were too lazy to come in early for the appointments they scheduled me for. The office and rooms are not very clean, and they performed horrible, lazy cleaning and cavity procedures. Details listed below. I first stepped into their office a year and a half ago. It was a somewhat clean place, but most of the back rooms/offices were messy and didn't seem to be deep cleaned on a regular basis. While I was a little worried about that, I decided to give it a shot anyway. I was ridiculed for having poor dental health when I first came in- both by the secretaries, and the dentist.. The hygienist was the only nice person there. I was told I needed several cavities filled (understandably- it had been several years since I'd had dental insurance), 2 root canals, and 2 crowns. Of course the crowns (and build up) were not covered so that would come out of pocket. My husband and I have been living paycheck to paycheck, so the only option for us was Care Credit. The dentist sat down with me and told me to request the maximum amount from them, so that I had extra to "play with." I had an itemized list of what was covered and what was not. I needed about $2,000 for the uncovered portion. When I said I would not need to apply for the maximum amount, she got angry and said that her brother tells patients the same thing. "It's better to have too much than not enough." We continued to disagree on this point, and we scheduled the next appointment, for cavity fillings, a few days later. My appointment time was at 8am. The day before my appointment, the secretary called and asked if we could move it to a later time, since they didn't have anyone coming in until 11am. I had told them my husband works during the week from 10am-3pm, and that we only had one vehicle. They had said that was no problem. When I said no, the secretary started raising her voice about how I needed to be flexible with them. I said I'd be happy to switch it to another day, but it would have to be at 8am. She switched my appointment to the day after my original appointment. Next day, surprise surprise, I get a call. Same story. I told her that this was my availability, and if they couldn't accommodate that they should not be scheduling early morning appointments. She sighed and said they'd see me tomorrow. I go in for my appointment, apprehensive at what I would face. Sure enough I had a lot of dirty looks heading my way. I checked in, wondering if I should continue to try to work with this dentist. I needed a few more appointments for cavities and other procedures. I decided to tough it out. I got the cavities taken care of, but I did not do the root canals or crowns with them. Extremely rude comments were made to me about how I was inconsiderate of their schedule by asking for 8am appointments. Again, I asked why they schedule the appointments so early if they don't want people to come in. The reply was, "We want to have that availability for our patients, but if no one else is scheduled early we shouldn't have to accommodate one person because they have an early appointment." I just went to a new dentist today (who I will be writing a very positive review for!). No only did I get all of my x-rays done, I got several cavities filled, and a cleaning/polish. I had some staining on my teeth that this previous dentist said would not come out or be addressed. I don't have that staining anymore- because the new dentist actually took the time to clean my teeth. Just that one treatment today, and it's gone. Funny enough, I only need one root canal and one crown. They had no idea why this previous dentist would tell me I needed both. Insurance fraud at its finest. If I could post 20 reviews about this place and give it 5 stars each time I would. Dr. Rekhi is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. And I have had quite my share of dentists. If you're skimming Yelp for reviews...JUST GO. You will not regret it. I never review anything but this place was so good I immediately signed up for Yelp just so I could write a review. I had braces when I was a teenager but my orthodontist quoted my parents for 4 veneers on my four front teeth due to their size/shape. Long story short - veneers are ungodly expensive (at least the ones I was quoted for) and I was left with a straight, but gap-filled smile. I hated the gaps so I stopped wearing my retainers. The gaps never fully closed up and my teeth still weren't the perfect shape I wanted them to be....fast forward to a few months ago,when I was recommended to Highland Dental Center by my boyfriend who is a longtime patient. He had Invisalign work done on his teeth a while ago and they look great. I myself wanted to do Invisalign; I figured the doc could realign my teeth, close up the gaps, and call it a day. Instead, Dr. Rekhi offered bonding as an option. He gave me a full Invsialign consult and explained to me my options... in the end I decided to see how bonding would look on my teeth. Basically he built up and reshaped my "problem" teeth and made them look good as new. They are very natural looking and match the color of my other teeth perfectly. Dr. Rekhi shows a great deal of care in his work. The type-A perfectionist in me respects that..a LOT. I felt like he genuinely cared about my teeth and wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Throughout the entire appointment I was very relaxed and comfortable; the time flew by. Dr. Rekhi is super gentle and was always asking me how I was doing and if I felt okay. His dental assistant was very well trained and I never once felt like she didn't know what she was doing. A huge pet peeve of mine is when saliva pools in the back of my throat and the hygienist forgets to give you suction, and when your mouth gets so dry from being open for so long... not a problem here! Dr. Rekhi's assistant was very on top of the water and suction and not once did I experience discomfort. To be honest I almost fell asleep in the chair.... :) My teeth look fantastic. This might sound vain but I feel prettier than ever. I used to hate smiling for photos because at certain angles I thought my teeth just looked absolutely jacked...not anymore!! And the best part... I don't even know if I even need to get Invisalign at this point. I love that Dr. Rekhi gave me options and allowed me to choose what I wanted for my teeth. I'm extremely happy with the composite bonding he did on my teeth and will gladly return to him for all my toothy troubles. One more thing - both times that I have been to Highland Dental Center, I haven't had to wait more than 5 minutes before being seen. That is AWESOME. Because I hate waiting, and I hate my time being wasted. I highly, highly recommend Highland Dental Center. Ok, so i'll be honest, I came here because i'm new to the area and my fiancé's best friend knows the dentist here (Dr. Rekhi). My wedding is coming up so I wanted to get some things fixed so that my smile was just right for the photos! I know, vain, but it's true. Anyway, I waited in the waiting room and it was nice and comfortable. The staff you can tell enjoys what they do, they chat with the clients, which is nice. When I first went in the back they needed to take some xrays. I felt bad because apparently my tongue was getting in the way and kept on pushing the xray disc thing in weird ways. But the assistant was really nice and just laughed it off. She then needed to take pictures with an actual camera and was really nice about it and explained everything (which was nice since i'd never had that done...) So then Dr. Rekhi's "little sister" Dr. Tisha Rekhi came in. She is BEYOND awesome! She takes the time to talk to you about everything. What i enjoyed was that she went over things with me. I was telling her what I wanted and she explained what I was seeing (I like to call my teeth "bunny teeth" but she actually explained that it was the angle of my teeth that was creating the illusion of my front teeth sticking out). She then admitted that "my brother would be better at this" (which as a little sister myself, that's not very easy to admit!) and she took more pictures and went over with me what she thought he would do. After the pictures are taken she says "oh, there's this stain, let me see if i can get it out!" and then just tried and poof! it was gone! more amazing was that she didn't charge me for that (and you KNOW most dentists would!) I've been here about 5 times and most of my experiences have been unsatisfactory. I'm currently waiting in the front and there is no one to attend me. I've been waiting for 5 mins. It's 1:22 and my appt is at 1:30. That's not that deep but my appt is for them to fix a fill in that chipped and I haven't even had it for a year.. there was another appt I made and because the front desk attendant mixed things around I showed up the day that was on my paper to arrive and they kept telling me that it wasn't my appt and that I GOT THE DAYS MIXED around. I showed them my paper with the appt on it. And of course they acted shock like oh that's weird. But made no effort to make things right. Another appt I had where my gums were hurting really bad they didn't give the best advice or treatment. So I went somewhere else. Majority of the staff and rude and stuck up. You won't feel appreciated here, especially if you have Medicaid. I hear them talking shit the times I've sat in the waiting room, which is very unprofessional. They called to have me come back and see them which I happily declined. But my tooth fill in chipped yesterday and here I am. Having not gone to a dentist in what seems like forever (over 5+ years) I was loooooong overdue for some work. I ended up having to get 6 fillings redone on my left side. Yes, 6 fillings ONLY on my left side. I ate a ton of candy growing up.. And still currently. I had the pleasure of getting worked on by Priya. I believe she is Dr Rehki's sister? Anywho, she's amazing and such a sweet person. I had to have my mouth open for almost 2 hours!!! It honestly seemed like an eternity. My tounge felt like it was sliding to the back of my throat (I was laying on my back slightly tilted back more) Every time I felt like I was gasping for air I murmured and she would stop and she would let me relax, swallow my spit and then ask if I was okay. I'd give her the nod then she would proceed to work. Once I started to get lock jaw she would let me rest then even gently massaged my jawline. Totally sweet of her right?! Most dentists would just roll their eyes once you stop them while they were in the zone but not her. She sympathized with me and let me know it was almost over. I was literally scared senseless (cause who isn't deathly afraid of the dentist?!) and she honestly made my dentist fearing stigma go away! I would definitely recommend this place. read more

BE CAREFUL OF THIS CLINIC. I'm very very disappointed with this clinic. First of all they will try to do their best to leave you broke. I had my initial cleaning done with this clinic and they told me that I will have to redo most of my dental work that was done earlier at another clinic, which would cost me 20k or more. I scheduled two additional appointments with two different clinics and both of them told me that my previous job was done properly and nothing needs to be redone. On top of that they scheduled me for deep cleaning and during the appointment we realized that insurance wont cover the procedure since regular cleaning was done less then a year ago, they ended up charging me a no show fee. After talking to them few times they refused to void the fee, even though I didn't miss the appointment. They only care about money and will try to get it out of you one way or another! read more

Condescending and rude. I don't think you should leave any health provider's office feeling ashamed because of your financial situation. I went to this dentist in March. I had read good reviews and was anticipating a good visit with Dr. Rekhi. First of all, the front desk staff is really wonderful, accommodating and kind. They were easy to schedule a same day appointment with. "DSHS" was written in large letters across the front of my file (Apple Health/medicaid). Dr. Rekhi glanced at the folder and then briefly at my teeth, said there was nothing he could do, not even a cleaning, because I needed to see a periodontist first. He did not measure my gums, because the periodontist could do that. When I asked for a referral, he informed me that I would never be able to find anyone to see me because I had medicaid. He said maybe I could go to the UW dental school and get a discount, but wouldn't give a referral. He did not bother to ask if I could pay out of pocket (which I can, with a care credit card and help from family). He did not suggest getting a dental discount plan or signing up for dental insurance, which I can afford. He looked at the x-ray they had taken and determined that I also probably needed a root canal, again no referral or suggestions there. He charged my insurance a full appointment including cleaning, so that I am not covered for another one this year. In short, I found Dr. Rekhi to be rude, brusque, condescending and a snob. The offices were hardly sparkling and modern enough to warrant such a patronizing dentist. The hygienist was less than skilled. As a side note, I am on medicaid temporarily after moving and being out of work for a year; maybe I am just not used to being treated so poorly by health providers based on how much they can squeeze from me. But I'm pretty sure the difference between a delta dental and a medicaid for a few patients isn't going to break his range rover lease or shut down any of his multiple offices. If he doesn't want to see medicaid patients, fine. But don't advertise that you take it and then make the patients feel like s**t. read more

Princy Rekhi was only concerned about the profit margin he would make on my insurance, which he currently accepts, but does not like people to use apparently. He absolutely took a bad scenario with a sore tooth and made it worse by ten fold by humiliating me in unimaginable ways. What is wrong with this guy ?? Had an awesome experience here as a first time patient. The waiting room is nice and clean with a big tv to watch while you wait and the nice lady behind the front desk is friendly and welcoming. I didn't get the chance to work with Dr. Rekhi but the other dentist on duty his sister is very professional and courteous she explained everything and was very thorough. When my dentist in Southcenter left that office, I wanted to find a dentist closer to home. I am glad I landed at Highland dental Center. The office is a little tucked away, and isn't super flashy from the outside, but the inside is clean and the staff is very competent. Adela took all of my dental x-rays without any issues, and she was really fast! I hate it when they need to do multiple retakes, but that wasn't the case here at all. Dr. Rekhi was very friendly and communicated very well. He did my cleaning and talked to me about my options for a couple cavities and some gum recession, they had my treatment plan and costs ready to go quickly, and they were able to do everything on the spot. What an experience, and I mean that in the most positive way imaginable! Though I have always kept up with dental appointments in the past, it has always been one of my least favorite things to do. My earlier dentists seemed harsh with my teeth and appeared as if they were doing a quick-and-dirty job. This was so far from the truth for Dr. Rekhi and his team! Having recently moved to the greater Seattle area, I noticed Highland Dental on my way to and from work. It's a welcoming-looking building made even more attractive by the hilariously cute "smiling bushes" out in the parking lot. Everything about the place from the outside says, "Come on in!" The staff is incredible. They seem to really care about making the experience as smooth as possible. They were attentive to my arrival and made me feel welcome in a new setting, especially as a new patient. They quickly created a sense of belonging and even casually joked around with me to make me less nervous about the appointment. They were quick and efficient and my wait to be taken back was surprisingly brief. I already liked the place and I had yet to take a seat in the chair! Once I did, it became clear that the level of service I had experienced thus far was no fluke. Every member of the staff seemed interested in providing me with a relaxing atmosphere despite the otherwise high stress environment of dental care. The hygienist and assistants alike spoke to me by name and made an effort to get to know me. They were careful and precise in their work and my routine cleaning has never gone smoother. Right as my cleaning treatment came to a close, in came Dr. Rekhi, a polite and charming dentist with an incredibly delightful personality to boot! He immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable putting my dental health in his care. He struck me as someone who is very confident about his ability, but with a great reason to be that way. He was gentle and yet managed to hit all my areas of concern when it came to my oral hygiene. He gave me options for furthering my treatment but didn't try to shove anything down my throat. I felt like he was giving me equal footing to him when it came to deciding how I wanted to go about my future treatments and that made me feel involved in the process in a satisfying way. This man really worked wonders with my teeth (after future appointments, I found just how precise, exact, detail-oriented and courteous of my comfort he is--it's amazing!) and I would recommend him over and over again to family and friends alike. Maria the dental assistant was great. It turns out the dentists do the cleanings which I thought was interesting and maybe "better". Unfortunately I came here based on reviews of Dr. Reiki but was not seen by him nor asked if I had a preference as I didn't know there was another dentist. Was seen by a Dr. Porter. He was OK, nothing special and to be honest I thought kind of too casual of an attitude. In addition I am not sure he really spent as much time cleaning my teeth as he might have. Oh well. Dr. Rekhi is amazing! I have had the worst year ever including my mother having a stroke, my father getting very sick and me losing my job and almost my home... I was just getting ready to start a new job when my tooth broke and the doctor came in to help me before I started my job since he knew I wouldn't be able to take time off of work to get the procedure done... I don't know that he really new all of the struggles that I have had but he was very kind and gentle and thorough... Thank you Dr. REKHI!!! read more

This office is run extremely poor. I had an appt. today for a tooth cleaning yet they cancelled because they said my medical coverage did not cover it. Turns out it does yet they turned me away because they were lazy and didn't read my file carefully nor call my insurance. Further they were unapologetic and frankly do not want the business and suggested I go elsewhere which I will. Too bad dr. Rheki is a good dentist by his office staff loses him business. Tread carefully when dealing with his office staff. read more

I had a good experience here, which is rare for me at healthcare providers in general. I'm a pretty nervous guy when it comes to having visits with the dentist. The staff is so nice, you hardly feel like you're at the dentist. The parking lot has smiley faces cut into their bushes, so cool! Honest estimate given in writing before charging me. read more
