My first time at Highland Nails was lovely! The staff is super friendly and did a PERFECT, meticulous job with my SNS manicure. So many regulars were coming in and it was a good sign that I was in the right place. Very impressed!

Spending hours in a salon was a waste of time from my perspective. This is why, I never went to a salon for my nails done. My mother encouraged me to visit a nail salon for my "wedding" nails. So, I went to Highland Nails. They nailed it! It is an excellent service. The nails are done beautifully. I received a lot of compliments at the weeding. The lady who did my nails is so nice. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely go back there. I don't think anymore that spending time in a nail salon is a waste of time.

AMAZING service. Walked in with no appt around 2PM on a Friday afternoon and was seen immediately. This business is doing an amazing job keeping up with CDC guidelines (requires masks at all times, asks customers to wash hands upon arrival, workers wearing face fields+masks, sanitizing equipment after every use). Inside looks beautiful and clean. My sister and I got a classic mani pedi ($35 for no gel) and let me tell you, this place is more like a spa than a salon. We got foot and hand/arm massages which felt heavenly!! I had an older lady and she was super nice and really good at massaging, and quick but clean with her nail painting technique! This isn't my usual nail spot but it might be soon! Staff is super friendly, nails look amazing, & in clean and convenient location. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome first time experience! They were accommodating & so kind! Plenty of safety/cleanliness precautions. T was a great nail tech & made me feel comfortable! My new nail salon in Atlanta/Virginia Highlands.

Highland Nails is classier than many comparable salons. Instead of TVs with blaring talk shows, they play radio that is easily talked over. This salon is not big, but I have never had to wait for a manicure. I would recommend calling ahead if you are headed over on the weekends just since they do get quite busy. The entrance is quite hard to find if you don't know where to look. Park in the lot behind El Taco and DBA BBQ. You enter the salon from the lot (not from North Highland). It is nestled between DBA and Mali. Lee is my favorite manicurist. She is super friendly and does an immaculate job. I have visited this salon many times and have had one or two issues. When I did have a problem (a gel manicure not lasting as long as it should) I came back to the salon and they re-did it for free. Gel manicures here are $29 - comparable to other spots in the area.

3.5 stars. I'm looking at the gel manicure I had done yesterday and so far I'm pretty pleased with it. I went at 10am yesterday, it was totally empty but me, and I received prompt service. So prompt in fact that when I finished paying I was shooed out of the store because it seems like the two ladies running the business had somewhere to go. Though I thought this was slightly odd, I'm ok with it as long as my manicure lasts. $29 for gel, no shellac- just OPI and Essie gel.

In January, I took the time to write a thoughtful and professional message and electronically send it. When I arrived for my February appointment, I realized I had not received a response. I printed the message and hand-delivered it to the staff. One staff member verbally acknowledged, "Yeah, we received it." Now, as I prepare for my March appointment, I still have not received any response. As noted in my original review, I have been a loyal customer since 2020 and schedule my appointments for the entire year in advance. My massage therapy journey began in college after a physician referral, and it has remained an important part of my wellness routine ever since. I value my relationship with my massage therapist just as I value relationships with my physicians and hairstylists. Jordan knows my body well, and I feel comfortable in his care. To be clear, this review does not reflect the majority of the staff. Many are consistently kind and professional, such as Amour. This feedback is directed toward the staff who appear dismissive and unwilling to provide a professional response to reasonable customer feedback. While booking my 2026 monthly appointments, I noticed yet another price increase. The 90-minute deep tissue massage increased from $155 to $180 -- approximately a 16% increase. I did not request any price adjustment or special accommodation. I simply scheduled a 60-minute deep tissue massage at the current $140 rate. My only request was that the spa consider announcing annual price increases in advance. In the past, staff have called to acknowledge feedback, which I appreciated. I expected the same professional courtesy this time. I am not asking for the owner to contact me -- simply a professional acknowledgment. This seems reasonable considering the spa regularly sends emails and newsletters with other announcements. A former employee mentioned the spa has been under new management since I began coming in 2020. If expecting basic communication and professionalism is unrealistic, then perhaps my loyalty as a long-standing customer is also being taken for granted. Supporting a business should never feel like your voice is dismissed and doesn't matter.

I had to ask every minute or so to go softer as it was extremely aggressive and fast. Despite asking to go a bit slower, nothing changed. I felt as though what I asked for her to focus on was not at all done, despite multiple attempts to have her just work on the areas I came into the massage parlor for. I was pretty tense the entire time because I was uncomfortable. There was also another woman that came into the same room getting a massage with just a curtain separating us, which I was unaware would happen when booking online. I was told upon arriving that it may happen during my session without an option. Overall, it was a poor experience.

The weighted lavender neck pillow was great. However, it's only been 4 days since my mani pedi and I'm already noticing the cuticles lifting and getting caught on things. Some of them are also very uneven and I understand with every nail treatment that's bound to happen but I just thought it would last longer. My facial was nice and I felt my skin was glowy after. But if I hadn't asked questions or said anything during the appointment, I don't think my aesthetician would've said anything. Again, I understand a silent peaceful vibe might have been what they were going for, but it almost felt I was interrupting that by wanting to know what was going on my face. The regular prices are way too high for me. But I figured I would give it a try because it's right by my home. It was my mistake that I arrived a couple minutes late, but I did have a bit of trouble finding the space. When I got there, it looked to be closed. I called the number on my confirmation email twice and got no answer. I was about to leave when Elise walked up and greeted me. She did give me a full hour of massaging anyway, so no complaints there. I definitely should have arrived at least 5 minutes early, though! About the massage. The website indicated that deep tissue would cost more, but it was plenty "deep" and rough, as is. Elise did, of course, ask me to let her know if it was ever too much, but I don't like to give alot of critique during massages; I like to let them do their thing as much as possible. But I did have to speak up when it felt like she was repeatedly kneading a softball into my neck!! Some people may love massages like that, but it was honestly far too painful for me. She had some moves where it felt like I was being choked and when she kneading into my scalp, I was wincing in pain. I get that I'm tight and she was just trying to loosen it, but it was just way, way too much pressure! And I am usually one to love deep tissue massages!! When I had no choice but to say that it was too much, she came completely off of my neck instead of just going lighter, which is what I was afraid would happen. Another thing that didn't really jive with me was how much heat and oils she used. I don't really need all that stuff; I'd rather the focus be more on the massage, itself. I was relieved when she finally removed a pile of heating pads that she had stacked onto my back! Even though most of it was not my thing, I think Elise is very nice and caring and talented at what she does! It's also a really nice, private setting. And lots of people will appreciate how strong she is! And yes, I could have taken the time to keep telling her it was too much, but again, I don't like to interfere too much with the therapist's flow.
