I have a 2003 Chevy S10 with a 6 cylinder in it it's in there way too tight to do the plugs for me , my arms would have been mangled by the time I had gotten done, I brought the plugs and the wires with me and they got it done for a reasonable price and on time. I asked them to return my old plugs and wires back, I had one mismatched plug that I had put in there myself a while back it was in the box with the rest of my old plugs so I know they changed them all. I made an "appointment" that apparently wasn't an appointment for my SUV then they proceed to tell me there are 5 cars ahead of me. What's the point of the "appointment" then? Your website says "We will gladly transport you to and from your destination while your vehicle is being serviced or repaired at My Mechanic (within a 10 mile radius)." I'm quite disappointed. We broke down at storage last night and our insurance towed us to their lot at about 10:00 last night. We figured out they weren't going to be open until Monday so my husband went and got tools and parts to fix it. We have a friend getting us a Chilton manual to figure it out.My husband just had a pacemaker put in last year and shouldn't be working on it anyways. Just a few minutes ago "the owner" came by to voice her dissatisfaction with us parked in her lot. And then proceeded to say they don't have any openings this week and dont work on RVs. It's a 1979 Dodge Van with a box on back.... Seriously... What kind of mechanic is this. No offer to help, no compassion, just demanded us get off her lot as soon as we get it fixed. I am so glad I found this place about 3 years ago! I had a 74 BMW that needed some work and most places have no clue how to work on this age of a car! Kim had me bring it in to take a look at it and the people there could manage any repairs that it needed. At times they had the "old school guys" come in and give their advice on the best solution to a problem! They also have a wide selection of contacts to find hard to find parts at a reasonable price! I have brought in several vehicles since then and I have been very satisfied with all the work that they have performed. They have taken me home and picked me up on several occasions. They have even delivered the car to my home! I had david for a mechanic and he was a life saver! I had another guy who did the diagnosis on my car, and a little work on it, but he kept finding new problems after the work was done costing me to spend more money and time. After David came the third day he discovered another problem that the other guy missed. I was strapped for cash and he offered to do the labor if i bought the parts which was very generous of him. My Mechanic seemed like a wonderful repair shop.. and trustworthy. Very nice on the phone each time I spoke with them... BUT then I decided to get a second opinion and THANK GOODNESS I DID. My Mechanic said I would need $6,500.00 worth of repairs on my vehicle. I decided I better get a second opinion because some of the repairs were just not adding up. I took my vehicle to the dealership... GUESS WHAT.. NOTHING and I mean nothing that they said was wrong was actually wrong. Make sure you get a second opinion. Upon meeting the staff, I had high hopes that 'My Mechanic' would be a pleasant solution for my car problems. They were very nice, and willing to negotiate about some of the prices (slightly), but that is where the good ends. I was given 2-3 WRONG diagnosis for the problem, as the mechanic seemed to pick blindly at the issue (blaming it on an array of obscure problems). After hundreds of dollars wasted I began to realize that they were completely in the dark, and wasting my money trying to fix what wasn't even broken. After I had paid for my work, they then left my car half-assembled when I gave up on their 'help'. They had also claimed my replacement parts (which costed several more hundreds of dollars) were broken. I finally brought my car to the dealership, which had the issue fixed in an hour WITH my 'broken replacement parts' (which in reality, were perfectly fine but the previous mechanics incorrectly set-up). I wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars with absolutely no help from My Mechanic, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Bring your car to the dealership...it will be SLIGHTLY more expensive, but you will not have to deal with incompetence. read more
