Came here on the 4th since I was craving coffee and saw they were open. I have passed by it numerous times and can finally say that I've been here. The barista was super friendly and helpful. I decided to get a drip coffee and a kouign Aman. The coffee tasted great. Not too strong and not watery. The kouign amann was very good. The place is not too big and I enjoyed that they were playing A Tribe Called Quest. It wasn't too loud so I definitely think if you can snag a table, this would be a good place to study/work. read more

This place is quaint. I came in for a chai matcha, and they don't mix teas. I understand, it's respectable to honor tea in that way. I ordered a pastry warmed, and I watched the barista hold it in a bag and remember I wanted it warmed. I say this because it was cold, but I didn't know until after leaving. Spinach and cheese on the road isn't great with a cold center. It was good. It would be way better warm though. read more

One of my fave coffee places ever! This is a hidden coffee gem in the middle of Glendale! Their orange vanilla latte over ice is so delicious. Yes, orange and coffee go together and I love the harmony. I hope they never take it off their menu. They also have a variety of pastries if looking to pair your coffee with it. The only down side is the parking. There's street parking, but it'll cost a buck for every 15 minutes. That doesn't bother me much. I'm a returning customer because I enjoy the way they make the coffee and they take their time with making it. This place is special. First of all, they make a lot if not all syrups in house which makes such a huge difference in flavor! Friendly staff, easy to find, and on-street parking within a block. The coffee was delicious, as was the tea.

I've stayed away from this place due to the seemingly street-parking-only situation, and would probably still avoid at peak hours, but apart from the parking sitch and this extra long run-on sentence, Highlight Coffee serves some of the best iced oat milk lattes. $5 a pop, but so delicious I sometimes plan a stop by Highlight into my morning plans and it gives me that extra oomf to get through my day! They have select pastries, today I got a fresh baguette for $4, bags of various beans, and select pins, tees, and other merch for sale. They're still open for take-out during covid19. I usually get their Vanilla Orange Latte and sometimes, the Butterscotch Latte. They are both reasonably priced for their location and quality. You can never go wrong with any of these two. Their espresso is so delicious. The price and parking makes it all worth it. The Vanilla Orange Latte seems to have Orange zest, it does not taste artificial to me. They also put Vanilla Beans!!! This makes the latte absolutely delightful. I did try the Butterscotch first, which I remember was good and had the right amount of sweetness. But that Orange Vanilla Latte was more special to me, which I get most of the time. Parking tip: Go early in the morning! I had no problem with parking around 7am-8am. I do street parking on Broadway. I tried to study here but the music was too loud. If you don't mind music while working/studying, I'd recommend doing it here. read more

Highlight Coffee is one of my favorite coffee spots in Glendale. It's close and convenient to my apartment but it's also really good. Atmosphere is relaxing. Orange Vanilla Latte: ordered per the workers' recommended. The orange flavor is very subtle. It tastes like a very light vanilla latte. The coffee itself was really good I originally came here to try the kimchi spam crossaint. unfortunately, but fortunately (?), it is only offered on the weekends, which prompted me to order the matcha strawberry danish instead. I'm so glad I got to try it. The danish is very fluffy. The flavor of matcha is very strong, which I love! There's also a strawberry filled creme inside the danish. This small coffee shop is located inside an old historic corner building which retains some of it's old details. It was a hot day so I ordered an iced mocha and a cold brew. They don't carry Venti size cups so I had to get my high by ordering two drinks LOL. The drinks were good and not overly sweetened. We ordered 2: one with Orange Vanilla and another with Cinnamon syrup added and that just took it over the top I'd always been intrigued but never stopped by until recently because the parking situation looked pretty bad. I am so glad I recently discovered Highlight Coffee after hearing about it from my coworker and driving by all the time. It was my first time last week after I gave up on Starbucks & Coffee Bean and I am happy this is my new spot for coffee before work everyday! They have all the basic coffee selections (for lattes they have some cool flavors like butterscotch). Their staff is very fast and friendly- I have been coming here everyday around 7 AM to get a latte and and everyday that I come, I feel welcomed. Coffee tastes great. Prices are decent for coffee and their cups feel very big for some reason (it takes me a while to finish my iced latte). They have an early bird deal which is like $5 for both coffee and a pastry. I am a big advocate for supporting small local businesses and this place has amazing coffee! Definitely check this place out if you're in the Glendale area. read more

On a day of running errands coffee is always a priority. I would start off by saying the parking situation isn't the best. (Parking Meters) I ordered the Butterscotch Iced Latte which was pretty good I enjoyed the hint of salt they add for flavor. My first time coming here. I was impressed. I lived in Seattle for seven years and believe me, you learn about coffee out there. This place is a really great example of what great coffee should taste like. Plus the gentleman that was working at the counter was super helpful and nice. He gave great suggestions and explained the different drinks and options. The coffee, I chose was really good. Not too sweet and I could actually taste the coffee not just the flavor or sugar.
