I have been taking my cars here for a long time, since 2014 when a 2005 Toyota Matrix I used to have had an AC problem. They have always been upfront and honest about what the car needs in terms of repairs. In addition, all repairs they have carried out in my cars have lasted for years. I just recently had a 2015 Mazda CX-9 that had a concerning rattling noise, and they spent a day and a half testing it until they found out was wrong (engine mounts). They fixed it, and the noise was 100% gone. I trust their workmanship to a point that now my parents take their car here as well. As far as pricing, I think they are comparable to what you're going to get from any reputable car shop, but even more important, is the certainty that your car has been properly fixed and safe to drive. As far a s customer service goes, I have lately dealt mostly with Cory; he's very professional, and he keeps you up to date with the progress of repairs. In addition, they offer shuttle service and loaners if your car needs to stay for an extended period; my parents have made use of this service and they have always been satisfied with it. Their website is very easy to navigate and to make appointments (if they recommended repairs that you didn't do, you can go on their website and schedule them later). It's hard to decide where to take your cars for servicing and repairs, and who to trust, but I would highly recommend Highline Car Care for all of your car needs. read more

This is the place to go if you own a Lexus 2nd Generation and have navigation issues. The navigation on these cars is known to cause problems, and they have all the tools to ensure it's properly fixed. My navigation had been out for a year, and it was a pleasure to see it working fully when I picked it up. I had been trying to find a shop to fix my navigation system for the last few weeks and even considered purchasing an overseas "upgrade." The issue with the overseas upgrades is that you may lose some functions and have to modify them further. The day before bringing my car into Highline, I was searching online for "Lexus navigation repair" and was shocked to see a shop right up the street from me that does this fix. They have a whole page on their site outlining the common issues seen with the 2nd Generation Lexus navigation systems, and it was such an easy process. I made an appointment online and then, after arriving, was promptly greeted. I got the full breakdown of what needed to be fixed, the cost, and an estimate of when it would be completed. My Lexus RX450h had a shattered rear entertainment screen, and I was shocked to hear Lexus tell me the replacement part was $7,200 plus labor. I searched online for used units and found a handful on EBay for thousands, and many more people in my position on the forums. Next, I looked into just blanking both screens and removing the option entirely, and found it was going to cost even more to fix the upholstery on my seats (not to mention the console would then look ridiculous with an HDMI input and headphone ports to nothing). Highline Imports transformed my 60's classic muscle car from a unwieldy road beast, to a modern-day, safe driving machine. I owned the car for eight years and I always wanted to turn it into a restomod, but I could not find a shop I can trust, or a shop that would agree to do the work in stages. So I can continue to enjoy the car, and manage my budget. When I met with Wes and his crew, they outlined a clear plan for the restoration. First and foremost they did disk brake conversion, followed by rack and pinion power steering upgrade. Afterwards, the T5 five speed and hydraulic clutch were installed, followed by upgraded exhaust system. The quality of the work is exceptional, and the crew really knew what they were doing every step of the way. Oftentimes coming up with creative solution to unexpected problems one might encounter when working on a 50 year old car. Finally, most important, they are very HONEST. Wes has actually convinced me not to do certain projects on the car, because either the parts didn't replacing or because "upgrades" would not yield significant performance benefit to justify added cost. Wish I could give ZERO stars! Made an on-line appointment a few days ago and was told I had to drop off my car all day. When I arrived , I had presented a $50.00 gift card they had mailed me which had a few exclusions listed at the bottom in the famous fine print but NO mention that it wouldn't apply for front alignments. The employee checked with the manager and came back to say they weren't going to honor THEIR OWN CARD because they farm out alignment work to another shop....how would a customer know this? I went today to Network Automotive in Mesa and they had my car done in ONE HOUR and at a MUCH better price than this place! Blessing in disguise I guess...no more visits or referrals to Highline, sorry guys you blew it big time! read more

Thank you to Wes and the team at Highline CarCare! I recently took my 2017 Honda Accord with 59,600 miles in to get an oil change and they informed me that my engine was leaking oil and it would be a minimum of $1500 to fix. Adam informed me that I still should be under manufacture warranty and recommended I take it in to Honda dealership right away. After convincing Honda that there was an oil leak, they were able to repair it under warranty. I am extremely grateful that Highline team found the issue and referred me back to manufacture under warranty, saving me thousands of dollars! Took the car in for servicing today. Learned about Highline off of Google and I would 100% recommend bringing your vehicle here. To start things off, the work was done in a somewhat timely manner. We dropped it off for an Oil Change and a Transmission checkup; they gave us the whole inspection, transmission diagnostic and oil change for $52 which is wonderful. They were in constant communication with us to let us know about the vehicle, through text and call. Overall, I would, again, recommend this place 100% for all of you vehicle needs. I just had to post a review of the fine establishment. I have a 2006 Lexus is 250. The navigation screen went totally black. I had no blue tooth, climate control, radio screen or back up camera. I called my local mechanic who indicated he unfortunately could not fix this. I went to the Lexus dealer. Ouch! The cost to repair was more than the car is worth. I then called another fine business, Toyo Motors who I've have good experience with. They indicated they could fix this but recommended Highline Car Care as experts in this field. I called Highline and spoke with Michael. He was knowledgable, personable and the next day I now have a working navigation screen and less than 1/3 of the price with a 2 year warranty. Place was a little difficult to find since its a big building but they all share the same address (protip: all the way in the back) but dropoff as a new customer was simple and fast and the person knew who i was from a yelp quote request. Saw a lot of German cars so felt comfortable dropping my Mercedes there. I made a few small requests and they were friendly and helpful. I love my car. I may not give it the love it deserves, but I truly love my car. Recently I have had to do some maintenance repairs to it and having moved so much in the last 4 years has made it difficult to stick to one mechanic. Seems every time I find a go to guy I end up moving away. In the spirit of saving some money I went back to my hometown of Douglas, AZ to have some repairs done which I was quoted in Gilbert and were more than my wallet could shell out. Well, turns out "lo barato sale caro" (cheap ends up costing you more) and the shop in Douglas couldn't do all the services I needed, after I had already paid them the money to order the parts and waited 2 days to have my car fixed. So I drove back to Gilbert somewhat defeated and wondering what I would do with those car parts in the trunk of my car. I looked online for a week or so and kept coming across reviews for Highline Import Auto. I was skeptical because most reviews were from yelpers that had few reviews and also almost everyone referred to the owner by name. There were a few reviews from established yelpers (at least 20 reviews in my book) and a couple of ELITES, so I decided to call them and give them a try. Here is why they deserve 5 stars: They were able to get me in the same day I called and use the part I had previously purchased at the other shop. They knew exactly what I was there for the minute I walked in (no need to explain again) They called me within an hour to tell me what the car needed done, and not only that but they were able to tell me what was causing the problem and what needed to be done to avoid future problems. They had my car ready in reasonable time. The price was, in my opinion, fair. When I picked up the car, it looked cleaner than it did when I dropped it off, no grease stains on my door or even worse on my steering wheel and maybe they vacuumed it? The problem I was having has disappeared. The car is running great! I would highly recommend these guys! I dealt mostly with an older gentleman who was very professional and helpful. I went in for an oil change and to have my A/C serviced as it was not blowing cold. They told me that the hose was leaking and would need to be replaced. I asked about the compressor/condenser because Firestone previously told me those needed to be replaced, but I was told that they would start with just the hose. That could potentially save me hundreds of dollars. Good start. He also quoted me a worst-case scenario (replacing the compressor/condenser) price that was about $300 less than what I was quoted by Firestone. And he only charged me for the oil change! ($35, I believe.) I took it in before class a couple days later and dropped by after class. I was told they did have to replace the compressor/condenser, but it would only take a little longer to do so. I waited in the shop, and they offered me access to their TV and WiFi. Wes told me he would help me out with the price. I ended up paying about $200 less than what he quoted me. Everyone there was friendly, truthful, and helpful to me throughout the entire process. It was easily the best experience I've had with an auto mechanic to date. read more

So I called around to get prices, and Charlie was the only person to suggest an alternative repair option for my vehicle. I really wanted to like Highline as they are friendly, but I am skeptical on their troubleshooting and repair abilities. Here's the story: I brought my vehicle in on a Wednesday with 2 issues to be fixed: 1) check engine light and 2) navigation screen intermittently working (black screen). As I was going out of town, the plan was to pick up the following Monday after it was ready. I did not receive a call telling me it was completed, so I called them at 4pm to ensure it was before making the 18mile trip to their shop.When I called, they said the repairs were complete, so I Ubered there ($35 dollar ride). I paid the $1300+ charge from Highline and was on my way home. Not even .5 miles away, I found the nav screen to not to be functional. It was on, but buttons did not work. So I returned immediately to have them address. They needed to keep the car and told me to return Tuesday. Tuesday evening, I returned after work at 5pm to pick up car. On my way home the check engine light came back on- not 2 hours after I left! I texted them and they told me to return the vehicle Wednesday. I bring the car back Wednesday after work and told it would be ready Thursday. I return Thursday only to be charged another $300+ for the check engine light, told it was another issue. If that was the case, why did BOTH codes not appear when they first ran diag on Wed? Seems very coincidental that two failures occur within 1 week of each other. Not willing to admit they may have misdiagnosed or "repaired" the correct failure on the first charge, I paid the additional money and left. I was told the owner would call and speak with me and that did not happen. Needless to say, I WILL NOT be returning here as I think they failed on this one- 5 visits in 8 days to correct problems present when I made the first trip to the shop and a total of $1700.
