    Side Salad - Caprese
    Chris K.

Highway Pizza is a fun and relaxed pizza joint in Williamsburg. The decor is cool with a highway theme featuring road signs, cars, and truck parts. Be sure to check out the restrooms for their creative wash stations and unique trash cans. Now to the food. We ordered the caprese side salad, which came in a cute small bowl consisting of mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce with ranch dressing. It was refreshing, though next time I'll ask if they have a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We tried three pizzas, starting with the The Nacho Mama. We ordered a single $5 slice to share to taste. It had tortilla chips on top and was tangy. Then we got two large pizzas--one was the vegetable with fresh toppings. We especially enjoyed the juicy roma tomatoes on top. The crust was thin with a golden finish. Everyone enjoyed the veggie pizza. The final pizza was the cheesesteak pizza with garlic white sauce. This one was not a favorite of the table as demonstrated by so many pieces left uneaten. Service is friendly and cheerful. We happened to be there on a trivia night. They also have karaoke nights. These folks embrace having a good time!

The pizza is really great. The order was ready on time and accurate. The folks were all very friendly. However... Got home and realized that they had forgotten part of the order. They didn't answer the phone, called twice, left a message. Nobody called back. Finally stopped in three days later to ask for a refund and the bartender seemed utterly clueless about how to resolve the issue. Still very friendly, but really clueless. He ended up giving me a used gift card which had $2.21 more on it than my missing item. Cool... but not professional. The food was delicious. But the experience was... not great.

No Alfredo and definitely no extra cheese!

Sooo unimpressed!! Ordered pizzas both with extra cheese and pepperoni one WHOLE pizza and only got it on half and neither had extra cheese. One of the pizzas was also supposed to have Alfredo and it didn't have that either. I do not recommend this place at all! Worst pizza I've ever had. I had it delivered and live 30 minutes away which is the only reason I did take it back.

Took my kids on a pizza date and this place is the perfect atmosphere. The turkey pepperoni pizza and speed bumps are legit!

We decided to give this place a try on a whim while driving to the outlet mall. We were originally going to Domoishi, but Highway Pizza looked really cool and their custom delivery cars really caught our eyes! There were so many tasty looking appetizers to try on the menu, but we decided to save that for next time as this was just a small lunch meant to keep us from starving while shopping. The thing that stood out the most to me about the pizza was the crust- it was soft and crispy all at the same time-absolutely delicious!

This is a new place here in Williamsburg, VA next to the premium outlets. Our bartender who was also the manager named Madison provided great outstanding service. They have the standard beers along with draft beer from the local Breweries. Our drinks came fast and were super cold. As far as food, we had a margarita pizza with a side order of mixed wings. Sweet hot and citrus chipotle. Pizza was well made and flavorful. Weren't cheap with the toppings, no soggy dough and not messy. The wings were well cooked, meaty and the sauces were on point. All the food was well priced. With the pizza, wings and 4 big beers, I wound up paying about $50. This is on par with the Average price for any similar meal at an any similar establishment in the Williamsburg area. If anything, cheaper especially given the quality of food and service. Wife and I will definitely be giving this place a 2nd go. I'm looking forward to the birthday shots!!

Loved it!! Great pizza and fast service! The beer cheese was great for dipping crust. The restaurant was clean and so was the outdoor seating area. All the street signs are fun and add to the highway feel.

Cute decor, great music, and a decent menu. The garlic Parmesan cheese curds are enough to bring me back! Also tasty were the Mac n cheese bits and cheesesteak "Bump in the Road", cheesesteak rolled in dough and back with cheese. Yummy! Can't wait to try the other three meats in them. The only negatives were the pricing and that the kids pizza didn't have red sauce in it, but rather on the side in a ramekin.

Trivia night was the reason we came to this establishment. Food- Nachos-okay, no salsa, just pico, and the lettuce was not crunchy, just sort of soggy. Cheese sauce was okay as well. The cocktail a friend got was good! Beer also good! It's a large establishment with lots of tables and booths. A game section as well, but did not play any of those items. Their own policy says 23% for parties of six or more, but when we questioned it, we were told it's "standard for all golf." If that's the case, then advertise it that way instead of making it sound like it only applies to larger parties. Then on top of the mandatory 23%, they added another 3% for paying with a credit card. At that point it just felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed with fees. The military discount was minimal, which normally wouldn't bother me, but combined with all the extra charges, subpar service, and food that wasn't good, the entire experience was a disappointment. We wanted to like this place, but there are too many other places to spend our money. We won't be back.

That was our first mistake! We walked in and were seated shortly after 7 PM. Our waitress greeted us, took our drink order, and returned with my soda. The kids' lemonades were still being made, and my fiancé's beer hadn't even been poured by the bartender yet. It ended up taking 8 minutes after receiving my drink for the waitress to bring the rest of our drinks. Normally, I wouldn't make a big deal about that, but there were maybe 25-30 people in the entire restaurant. Looking back, that probably should have been another sign to leave. But after two kids and two adults had been in the car for three hours, we were hungry and ready to eat. Once we finally received our drinks, we placed our orders. While we were waiting, the gentleman at the table beside us asked to speak with the manager. His wife turned around and explained to us that they had ordered their food, but the two kids' meals still hadn't come out while the adults were almost finished eating. You could see that both parents were upset and frustrated, and the little ones were clearly just ready to have their food. The wife knew the husband was going to be angry so she prepared us for it and stayed she hoped our experience would be better! When the manager came over, shs explained that the kids' food "didn't look presentable to send out," that they were short-staffed, and that it would be ready soon. Oh my, Kids food didn't look presentable enough? It's BDubs not anything fancy! The manger definitely was in the wrong, if there isn't enough kitchen staff trained to prepare food than they shouldn't be opened for business! At that point, I remember thinking, Oh golly... this isn't going to turn out well. And unfortunately, I was right. When our food finally arrived, the wings were extremely overcooked and absolutely drenched in sauce. My 15-year-old son, who loves our hometown Bdubs, could only choke down 3 of them. I tasted one myself, and honestly, I can't even describe how much teriyaki sauce was smothered on it. I ordered the patty melt. It was overcooked & super dry amd definitely not worth the price. The fries were loaded with salt, and the other two meals in our party were, at best, just okay. By the time we finally left, we had been there for over two hours. For what we paid and the overall experience, it simply wasn't worth it. Even the restroom could use a good cleaning. I always try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt because everyone can have an off night, and I understand that staffing issues happen. But with the lack of people in the restaurant, the long wait for drinks, the issues we witnessed at the table beside us, the quality of our food, and the amount of time we spent there, this was unfortunately not a good experience. I definitely would not recommend this particular location. Two teenage boys picked it because it looked like a great place to eat, and unfortunately, it ended up being one of those vacation meals we'll remember for all the wrong reasons!!!

I really tried to give this spot a chance…read more Overall, the hotel is great. The harvest Café is very reasonable. The pitchers sports bar is just disappointing on all fronts. On our first night, a Friday night, we arrived at the hotel with 45 minutes until the bar closed. Getting drinks was difficult, but it was near the end of the shift and, so I didn't think much of it. Luckily we had brought a few beverages with us and we went to our rooms and had a few drinks after 11 PM. As a sidenote, 11 PM is an oddly early time to close a hotel bar. On the second night, we arrived almost 2 hours before bar/kitchen close to have dinner and drinks. Nothing went well. Our server would disappear for extended periods of time... Presumably to bus food from the very distant kitchen to the bar. If the bartenders are going to double as Servers/bussers, then they should have more than two working a busy Saturday night. Eventually, a manager showed up to help for a few minutes, but he quickly left again. I had to actively flag down the other bartender to assist us at one point when our bartender was gone for an extended period of time. Even that took more effort than it should. If you only have two bartenders, and you know you're going to each be gone for long periods of time, then you should cover each other and check in on other guests. On top of that, our food took way too long to come out. We didn't get anything complicated, and the place was not that busy. The kitchen is clearly just slow. Eventually, our food arrived. It was decently prepared overall, but our friend ordered the beyond burger and made it clear that she was vegan and did not want cheese or dairy or mayonnaise. Despite this arrived with mayonnaise on it so she had to eat it with half the bun removed. The bartender eventually noticed, but at that point we were starving and she was already eating it so his kind offered to have them remake it didn't really help. The most concerning aspect was what happened to me the next day. I got the Caesar salad with the crabcake added. It had clearly gone bad. I had diarrhea for 36 hours afterwards. The only thing I had eaten earlier in the day was food at Busch Gardens, that I shared with others. No one else got sick so it had to be the crabcake. I guess it could've been the Caesar dressing, but that was for sure out of a bottle and less likely to be the source. And either case food poisoning During the drive on Sunday was not fun. I was still dealing with it by Monday morning as well. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the bartender was nice despite being overwhelmed, and he took 20% off of our bill because of the mistake made and the long wait. Eat somewhere else if you have any choice. The only reason to eat here is if Everything else has closed or you're just too tired to leave the hotel.

Drinks were really good too, and the bartenders are willing to make any drink you ask. The best part of the meal... Our waiter, PEYTON! He is Truly remarkable, appreciative, down to earth, willing to help, and friendly. He even joked along with us. :) One of the BEST waiters I have ever met! Thank you, Peyton! The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of the food.
