This business is a class act! I stopped in there at 4:30 on a Friday (jerk move, I know) to see about getting a tire. They didn't have the one my car needed and it was too late to order one. They put the spare on and didn't even charge me. They even suggested some other places that were open on the weekends to get a tire. They did all of that knowing that I might not buy from them. Guess what? I DID buy from them even though it was a hassle for me to wait until Monday (yes, I fail to plan). I really wanted to give them my business because I knew they would take good care of me. I was getting ready to leave for a cross country trip, when I realized that I had a flat tire. A short, early morning trip to Hilltop Tire Service (they open at 6:30a), yielded friendly, helpful service from Loren. The new set of tires were installed within a short window and I was on my way. But wait...! The car was pulling to one side, so I called and returned the vehicle to the shop. They promptly corrected the issue with a friendly smile and at no extra charge. I was here today. I think they're shady and overpriced. I definitely recommend you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This is the worst mechanic I've been to. I called and said (1) I needed to have my back tires checked to see if they're good or if they needed to be replaced and (2) to check why my air conditioning is starting to lose strength. I told them it probably just needs freon and I was hoping to get it working cause I needed to drive 5 hours out of state. Since I'm leaving out of town, they tell me to bring the car in at 8 a.m. and it'll be done by 10 a.m. so I can head out then. When I bring it in at 8 a.m., they decide to tell me then that they're not sure if they can finish looking at it by 10, and they'll try by noon. I just left the car with them since I already gave them the keys and this last minute time change left me with no other options. They call me up about 11:30 and say they found the back tires are ok but the freon was low and there was a leak. They wanted to charge me $130 to "charge the engine" but said the air conditioning will just go bad again until I fix the leak. I tell the guy that I rather just fix the leak first and then do the rest so I don't waste money, so I'll just pick up the car in a bit so I can head out of town. They charged me $54.99 ($60.94 with taxes) for what they did! I told them they didn't do anything, but apparently their "labor cost" is $98/hour. I again said they didn't do anything, but apparently they "diagnosed the problem." But they didn't rotate my tires, didn't change the tires, didn't do anything to the tires other than look at them. How long does it take to glance at my back tires and tell me they're fine? Less than 30 seconds? And I already told them the freon is probably low. I already knew that. I didn't need them to tell me what I already told them. So they essentially charged me about $60 to find a leak and not do anything about it. The worst part is when I asked the guy how he came up with the $98/hour labor cost or where I can double check it, he said it's not on their website or anywhere, and that it's just their "standard rate." I've taken my car there once before and checked that bill and seems like nowhere on there did they charge me for labor for $98/hr. So it seems like the $98/hr is just some arbitrary number the guy came up with so he can charge me $60. I then had to pay them the $60 cause it was already getting late in the day (cause they took longer than originally promised) and I needed my car for the trip. I definitely don't recommend you go to this place. read more

i went in for my first visit, wanting to make an appointment for an oil change. They could take my car immediately, and made a few suggestions for further maintenance -- all clearly needed and explained, and without pressure. The waiting area was clean, had water, coffee, wifi, and up-to-date (!!) magazines on a variety of interests. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I'll definitely return! Checked out my tires and diagnosed my problem (uneven tread wear causing staggering with the AWD)---& explained that this need not be fixed within the (short) remaining lifetime of the car. Very good service. read more
