Unprofessional receptionist with a condescending tone upon immediate interaction. My room had no garbage cans, with some discolored greyish face towels in the " sanitized bathroom". The reception area is full of tarps and buckets because the ceilings are leaking water from the storm! Then there's the knats and mosquitos in my bathroom. I killed a few of those with that greyish towel. I have only seen 2 ppl on my stay here....bad sign. Be prepared to pay for your coffee and breakfast and have your vaccination card on you at all times because they ask EVERY time even if you only buy coffee. I enjoy hilton hotels in san rafael, they give top notch customer service and make you feel very welcomed. But this place and the staff here made my husband and I feel very uncomfortable. Dont appreciate not being informed when booked room via phone (also didn't see via internet) that there is a $20/day parking fee. My family who lives here said it's ridiculous that we are forced to pay for parking - there is no other paid parking in the area. I think it's outrageous & in poor taste to also not inform via phone (nor again did I see anything via internet) booking - of the $100/night room deposit. BTW $100 deposit per night for this room is a joke. Room warm when arrived. I do not understand why room does not have a microwave like the Hilton in Bakersfield. Fridge falls put of shelf every time open the door. Overall this room is not as nice as Bakersfield's. Less towels, smaller closet, smaller bathroom- overall just not as nice. Worst "selection" of water (none) & soda (2 options) & chips in the "amenities" store & no vending machine alternatives. Bed uncomfortable. Ac loud & when off - room warm. Hallway warm. Blinds don't close all the way. Pool closed. Everything dated. Just stayed at the Hilton in Bakersfield & I wish I took pictures to show how nice even the lamps were. I want to first start by saying during my stay the bartender in the main lobby was amazing! He was so attentive and all around amazing vibes. Day of check in the manger who nobody knew was one because he didn't even have a name tag on was the rudest individual I have ever encountered. As a manager the establishment should be ashamed! Day 2. We had a huge family party! Expensive family party at that. The reception was delayed because they had 2 other parties at the same time.. when we finally entered the hall room it was decorated beautifully. The food on the other hand, disgusting, rushed, under cooked. And I ended up hospitalized from food poisoning. The servers were so rude... literally tossing plates. Not a smile on their face. You can totally tell they hated their job! The lady working the front desk was talking crap with another employee about how ppl were dressed, their hair, make up etc. loudly. Absolutely disgusting! The room at this place was very nice and clean the only issue I have is when we arrived for the check in we asked the front desk person if they validate the parking which he say yes couple days after I check my credit card and I found a charge for $19 I called the hotel and asked why they charge me $19 that person answered me that was for the parking I explained to him when I check in what the other person told us and he said he didn't know why that person told us it's validate parking I told him that I don't agree because it was at misunderstood communication and ask for my refund he say they cannot do anything about it. read more

I was dealing with a major family emergency and had been traveling all day when asked what name my reservation was under I said Thomas (my new married name) I didn't realize that my Hilton Honors was still under my maiden name. I wasn't told a total or anything the man just gestured to the card reader (I was assuming for security deposit) I just inserted my card and at the same we were talking the gentleman said I have you for one night and I said no it should be two but maybe I messed it up. I pulled up my confirmation and confirmed I definitely have 2 nights and he then asked if I was Megan and I said no. At no point did he ever ask for my ID either. I gave him my confirmation number and that's when I realized my mistake. 100% my fault. The guy said he issued a refund and he was really nice. Other than this aftermath of accounting issue our stay was pretty great I'd rank it a 4star out of 5. I get home and give some time and I see the original charge, the refund, my room charge and an additional $180.07 charge. I called the hotel direct and left their accounting department 2 voicemails - never heard back. I called and got the Hilton hotline which connected me with the front desk ( it kind of seemed like my card got stuck on the other persons account, the front desk lady said it was all mess but that she would email me). It's been 3 days and I've heard nothing from Hilton. I called again and any time I start telling my situation I instantly get transferred without anyone saying anything. This process is frustrating and I would just like to connect with someone that can take some time to look at the issue. I am more than happy to email my bank statements and I don't want to have to dispute this with my bank. read more

Absolutely one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. They don't clean every night but they don't notify you that they don't. There are rooms are antiquated with very few plugins for electronics. I stayed five nights at the Hilton in Concord, and while it was livable, there were a few things that had me concerned. I guess I'm used to the Hilton being more upscale, this place has more of a "used to be upscale" feel. I experienced front desk girls having conversations instead of helping me, noisy pipes that kept me up all night, room service that half cleaned my room, pubic hairs on my toilet when I first checked in, and older damaged furniture that seemed to be under par for what I expect from the Hilton. Overall the experience was not horrible, but I would expect that the Hilton would want a customer to leave with a wow effect. I choose Hilton for the same reason I choose Starbucks, consistency, when the consistency goes away, there is a chance that Hilton may lose appeal as well. The Hilton charges $19.99 a day for self parking, while I have no problem with that, I feel as though the hotel service should match the fees and charges. I wouldn't be so mad about expensive parking if I had great service. While I still have an overall positive view of the Hilton, I hope my next few stays at different Hilton's across the country improve. On my second night there, I attempted to open a tab at the bar which going to be open for 30 more minutes, the bartender told me with an attitude that we close in 30 minutes so I will close you out, then walked off. If that wasn't enough, he walked over to a couple dressed very nice and gave them a great attitude. C'mon man, I'll admit, I was dressed like a bum in gym shorts and flip flops, but I'm staying there and should get the same service as everyone else. Dive. I stay at Hilton's all of the time, this one is particularly bad. They only have three floors open, the rooms have seen better days. No coffee, no ironing board, and God for bid you take a black light to the room. The couch glowed like it was some abstract painting, the desk and chair were equally as bad. Especially during a pandemic, you would think that there would be a special attention to cleanliness. Definitely not the case. Some are friendly. Like the Bell people, the Asian housekeeping guy and housekeepers. Front desk, needs more training. It's like they HAVE to be friendly. Seems like they don't love their jobs. Lol!! Checking in parking SUCKS!!! They make the valet parking priority here, it seems like. Because those who aren't valet parking have to park on a little curb that probably only fits 4 cars the most. And sometimes there are like 3-4 extra cars trailing behind those "green" check in curbed cars parking in the red zone! While valet parking has the whole canopy to pull in/out and take cars. Paid Parking for over night PAYING guests but convention and party guests DO NOT HAVE TO PAY??! So during the party hours they leave the gates up that I paid $19.00 a night for. Smh!! Even if they don't stay the night, parking lot gets full by the time we, paid parking folks, get back from doing activities. And we're having to find another (further) parking lot to park in. Inconvenient. Especially when you have a dog and toddler trying to walk through the night to the hotel front doors. I was supposed to have free breakfast included. There was some "miscommunication" and I was told hotel didn't offer free breakfast. Contacted Orbitz and was told I could get breakfast coupons (that I never did get by the way) what purpose would the free breakfast coupon do me on my last night there? And after the staff sending me the runaround, I didn't even want to bother with their "free breakfast" that I had already PRE-PAID for!!! When I got checked in, I was charged AGAIN even though I had already prepaid for my full stay. But they quickly fixed that charge when I seen it and called up my third party. The hotel felt claustrophobic for me. I got a "queen" double bed room. Those beds were NOT queen sized. They were FULL or i should say less than a full sized bed. My sons bunk is a full size and my husband and I fit perfectly on it. This bed?! We couldn't even sleep next to each other. My room location, I was put WAY at the end and there are NO other entrances into the building besides the front. I HATE having to go in and out of a hotel with my toddler and dog like that. One way in and only emergency exits out, that lead to the back of the building on a walking trail. Ice machine gets loud. It's a walk to the elevator. A walk to the front doors AND then another walk to the parking lots we have to pay for. Cleaning my room and towels. 2 days in a row, my room wasn't cleaned. We've left the room for hours to have them clean it. Because I know a lot of people are frightened of big dogs. So we'd leave to give the chance to get my room cleaned. NOTHING!!! I would tell the housekeeping staff that I needed it cleaned. When we'd came back, nothing is cleaned. So I ring housekeeping to have them clean the room. Hours pass by and no one is to be seen. I gave up. I don't like waiting around for my area to be cleaned so I clean it. Called down to ask for towels. No one shows. Knock on the house keeping door, next to our room. And ask for towels. Asian guy brings me towels ASAP. The women, seem like they hate their job. The next day, the Asian guy knocks on my door and asked if anyone cleaned my room yet. I told him no. The Asian guy finds another housekeeping lady coming out of the staff doors and tells her if shes supposed to clean my room #. She started getting all worked up and annoyed by him and starts asking the other ladies "who is supposed to clean" my room and all that, other women say "not them" so this worked up lady starts calling down. I told them, please get it cleaned. Worked up lady said, someone is coming to clean it in 10 minutes. We left for 25/30 minutes and we see the annoyed lady cleaning our room. THEN she says, "ohhh this is your room?" While cleaning. Uhh Duhh!! She clearly see me holding the room door open talking to the Asian guy! Oh and to top it off, the towels were left on the bed. And not even a full set of hand towels were given to me. Left an empty toilet paper thing with the shampoos. All on the bed. They have NO laundry facilities on site. Just laundry in room services. It's like they try to get money for every single thing. I usually stay at the Hyatt suites. It costs more but I get EVERYTHING! Clean room and towels, free parking, free laundry room, free breakfast...you pay for a cheap stay, you get hit with other things that'll make it cost the same price as a pricey hotel. The location is close to many shops. BUT I won't be coming back. read more

Had the worst experience! Was traveling with my elderly parents and sister. Was trying to get checked in while the receptionist was placing a pepperoni, pizza order with the security guard who was going to pick it up, and had us standing waiting. The air conditioning would not turn off. I called down to ask for blankets and to please come adjust the thermostat. No one ever showed up, we froze all night with no extra blankets and the AC running all night on my elderly parents as well as myself. All of us developed cold. As a result I would never stay here again, and I would never recommend this property. I filed a case report, and all they offered me was points to my Hilton honors account to stay here again. What a joke! I told them to keep the points because I would never be back. As a matter of fact, I never need to stay in another Hilton property, I would stay in a Motel 6 before I stay here again, or in any Hilton property. Thanks, but no thanks! read more

We stayed here while visiting family over Christmas. The rooms are nice, with the furniture and bathroom appearing to have been remodeled recently. The hotel is undergoing a current remodel so expect some noise during the day. A couple of gripes, so there was hardly anyone staying on property and talking to the staff, it sounds like that is fairly normal, definitely an underused property. That being said, they still charge $20+ for overnight parking per night. The lobby bar was never open, the restaurant is only open during breakfast and that is only for the buffet for which they still charge $21.95 for essentially the same options as I've had for free at Hampton Inn's or Hyatt House type properties. The pillows on the bed did not appear to have been included in the remodel as they were well past their prime, just way too soft. Lastly, when we did check-in the first night, our first assigned room had crumbs in the bed already and the bathroom mirror was dirty from the previous guests. Upon asking the staff did get us assigned to a different room. All in all, it was OK, but there are almost no amenities available on property, the saving grace is there are a huge number of dining options just across the street at the Willows and Veranda shopping malls. read more

I would typically give this hotel three stars, but I'm bumping it up to 4 stars because Housekeeping helped us out literally within minutes of check in with a special request. Good Stuff: - pretty nice modern room - comfy and clean bed and pillows - excellent black out window coverings! - minimal noise - Housekeeping is super quick and friendly - Front Desk pretty nice - shower has water pressure that we joked could almost peel your skin off, it's seriously almost like a spa treatment LOL - lots of hot water - right across the street from a shopping center with a few great restaurants. Bad Stuff: - The caulking around the bathtub was discolored in places - The mirror in front of the sink had dust/stains accumulating around the frame. Kind of gross when you see it standing there brushing your teeth - The narrow space behind the sink faucet appears to have never been cleaned. There is lots of grime in that spot, which I'm sure is very difficult to clean, but again you notice it standing there brushing your teeth - White tile in the bathroom was kind of aged, so it didn't look super clean read more

I stayed here one night while some friends were in town. I love how centrally located it was. It was easy to go right across the way and get something to eat. I also love that it's right by the water world. I have a season pass and knowing this nice hotel is right here. I will definitely be using it more often when I go to the waterpark. The rooms were clean. There was a few nicks and bumps places but that's normal wear and tear for a hotel. The room was spacious. Plenty of clean towels. It was quiet. I did self check in on my phone so I didn't really deal with any staff. I felt safe with my car in the parking lot. It was self parking, but you do give your car information to the front desk and then you're able to use your room key to get out of the parking lot without paying. My boyfriend and I booked a room in Hilton for a night using the website hotels in advance. We are both 18 years old who needed a place, we were disappointed when the front desk staff sent us away due to not being 21 the reason being is "we don't ID every customer that orders alcohol". After leaving the hotel and reviewing the email to get our refund back it stated " an 18 year old can take liability for a room". Reserved a room w/ a king size bed for one night, I called the day prior and the day of check in to inquire about checking in early. The day of check in, I called and was told that I was able to do so. BE CAREFUL, apparently the number for concord Hilton (front desk) is NOT the same person that handles reservation inquires. With that being said... I attempted to check in and the front desk tells me that the room w/ the king size bed was not available. Luckily there was a room (2 doubles) at least available so my partner and I can get ready for a wedding. If not.. we would've been screwed. The room was blah. Wallpaper peeling and a broken lamp in the corner of the room. Bathroom had no vent fans... and the towel rack was in the shower, with no towels. The tub also looked dirty. I feel like i should do two separate reviews, but Yelp doesn't operate that way. So, I'll start with the good. My professional organization chose this hotel for our conference. Grady sold us the bid, but I have to admit it was negotiated by an outside third party. The Hilton was more expensive (as far as the event goes) than other hotels of similar size and amenities between Concord, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek. But, what eventually sold us is that they were able to come closer in price/concessions to the other properties, and the location with the shopping centers nearby were so great. We booked the hotel 18 months in advance, with an expected attendance of ~100. Communicating with the conference services manager was difficult for several months with very limited responses. However, once our event was about a month away, communication was easier, and everyone on the banquet staff was very helpful the week of the conference. Rosalita was especially kind, helpful, and just so positive. Food during the conference was divine (lunch in particular). We had a reception with appetizers that was also really good, and a banquet that was more than sufficient. My rating for our event is a 4 out of 5 stars. Now for the not so good. My stay at the hotel, on the other hand, was not very good. They were having a hot water issue throughout the hotel the entire week of the conference. Two days I had lukewarm water, and two days the water was frigid. Other guests had similar complaints, or their water was scalding. After conplaining every day, there was no improvement. They said they just switched to tankless heaters and couldn't get them to regulate. It was awful! I can't believe they couldnt get it under control. The bed, though, was comfortable. The gym is decent, with some weight and cardio machines. The hotel restaurant has a kind of limited menu. Considering the banquet food was so great during the conference, they could easily open up the options in the restaurant. And parking. Make it free!! It's so annoying that self parking is nearly $20/day. My stay is rated a 2 out of 5. read more

First bad impression is you have to pay $20 per night just to park in their lot. Second bad impression, room was not clean. It was obvious the room had not been cleaned and definitely not sanitized, food crumbs and smears from all the previous guests still there. Dirty. Trash can in restroom had no liner bag in it, so unsanitary. Floor had dark stains around the toilet. Room description was a lie, I paid for two queen size beds and got two full size beds. A high pitched alarm was going off all night, which kept me up. Another loud alarm was going off in the restaurant area, and no staff was doing anything about it. Where do I start!!???? Don't stay here everything from noice, service and food is horrible! My husband is an honors member and we got the worst service ever! We got a room right next to the ice machine and every time someone got ice we heard it! People yelling and laughing in hallway was ridiculous! The bed was so uncomfortable that when I woke up at 6:00 am my back ached so bad! After this we decided to check out early! And of course we called to see what time breakfast was over and we were told 11:30am. No! To our surprise we got to the restaurant at 11:00 and they were closing it. I'm staying here a week and paid over $1780. I chose this location because it's in probity of my husband's job. Okay so the hotel lobby is very large and nice. But the front entrance door has been broken since I got here and one has to you the side doors. The bar is closed. There are no vending machines. There is no breakfast.there are no microwaves in the rooms, only ONE, yes I said ONE in the lobby for everyone in the hotel to use! The front desk will sell water for $5 a bottle. They do have minimal alcoholic beverages and a few over priced snacks. If there was no breakfast, but not even a microwave? Front desk do not provide paper plates. The fridge is extra small. So you HAVE to eat out, but forget saving leftovers for later, well maybe a small bag. No laundry bag. One bar of soap and shampoo and conditioner are extra small sizes. Bottom of tub is dirty where a mat used to be. The A/C constantly shuts off all day. The pool is okay, only about 8 lounge chairs better get there early. The jacuzzi is broken I won't be staying again unless they step up! Please Hilton, at this price you can do much better! I'll be calling for a discount! read more

The worst Hilton experience, had to stay here for 2 nights. Upon check in I proceeded to my room which smelled very stale ( pretty disgusting), 5 minutes later a saw a nasty bug on the pillow. I went down and was moved to a different room, which was a bit better but the pillow case was dirty and had makeup on it from prior guest. He proceeded to tell me so I had hot water today so what if I did not have hot water the day before. BED BUGS!! BEWARE! Very seedy, and run down. I attended a conference at this hotel. Upon check-in, I noticed that the room appeared as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. The room had a musty smell. Thick dust was caked onto the vanity lights in the bathroom. A sea of dust was all over the nightstand lamps. The furniture, and bedding appeared dingy, and stained. The bathroom door was broken, and could not be closed all the way. If you opened the bathroom door, it basically ran into the toilet (the bathroom was that small). The shower fixture was covered in rust, and the shower creaked when you stood in it. The final straw was when I was sitting on my bed, and noticed a bed bug crawling across the bedspread. I squashed it, and it appeared that it recently had a blood meal -- bright red blood came out of its body. I checked out shortly thereafter. Now, I have to heat treat all of my clothing, and luggage. The front desk manager appeared perplexed, when I stated that I had found bed bugs in my room, and did nothing to remedy the situation. Absolutely disgusting. read more

Cons: I'm starting to think they don't really clean the rooms. I'm staying here alone and have really short hair. I found quite a bit of random hair around my room that isn't mine and also found dried pee on the toilet seat. My colleague is staying in another room and also found hair on her toilet that isn't hers. My iron leaks. There is an obvious cigarette burn on my bedsheets. The curtains have cosmetic damage. Pros: The room is quiet. The AC works great. Decent view from my room. The bar seems decent. The hotel lobby is nice and the ladies at the front desk were nice. Overall: Not what I was expecting for a $300/night room. I'm glad I'm only here for one night. I'm guessing housekeeping is short-staffed or just overworked. read more

We have been staying at the Hilton this weekend for labor holiday. The hotel itself is nice. Today we went to the water park behind the hotel and requested to ride the shuttle service. Well the shuttle driver never showed up. We went to the water park for about 7 hours got back to the hotel and our room wasn't cleaned what so ever. We had been gone all day why was our room not even touched yet? Soooooo disappointed probably won't be staying at any Hilton from here on out. Update- as i was checking out to head back home 6 hours with my children. I got to my car and found it to be infested by thousands of ants. I panicked and cried at first. Asked the hotel to help me seeing it was on their property. No one would help me as i stood there crying with my two very young children... who were crying as well. It's a beautiful hotel but the staffs unwillingness to help a guest who was distraught with her children is completely outrageous... and unfortunately i will be contacting corporate over this Hi there Jevon. Very cozy atmosphere at the Plate & Vine Restaurant, lobby level, which has a craft drink menu and some nice beers on tap. A separate but also cool lobby lounge with two LCD panels. Our stay this past weekend was comfortable, quiet and fun. We were here for a wedding at the Shadeslands Ranch Museum which was about a 15 minute drive from this hotel. We checked in on Friday, April 14th, 2017 and situated on the 10th floor which was also considered the "executive floor." I was surprised that the executive room was simply just a regular sized room with a couch on the end. Nothing really special about it. I found out the next day since I had a basis of comparison when we switched into a regular room with 2 beds on the 8th floor which wasn't considered an executive room. The room we had on the second night was the same exact size as our previous one, minus the couch. The beds themselves were really comfortable with the down pillows and firm mattresses. My super picky lower back had no pain when I woke up in the morning. The room had a mini fridge which I loved so I could store my jugs of water that I carry with me at all times. Another big plus of staying here was the water purifier station on the first floor so that I could refill. The only problem was that there were times that I would come down and the machine wasn't working since it needed time to purify the water. (It takes several hours apparently) The staff was attentive at all times, including housekeeping when we had to call them to fetch us more pillows, blankets and towels at different times. Breakfast at Plate and Vine (their in house restaurant) was pretty good with fresh fruits, assorted bagels and pastries, waffle station, french toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and Starbucks Coffee. I believe it was around $16 + tax to fill up at the buffet so that we could take our food back to the room. Parking was pricey here-- that's why I'm taking off a star. It was $19 per night which can get costly. You also had to pay for wifi Internet (which is most hotels these days). Since we had no time and the weather was rainy we didn't get to enjoy the pool or jacuzzi. read more

We booked our stay for Hilton Concord from 4/1-4/4. Unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant stay. We stayed in rooms 534 and 532. On Friday, as we were walking to our room, we found a massive pile of POOP (probably dog poop) in the hallways. GROSS. Then, later that night (10:00 PM), two guys were smoking a cigarette in the stairways. I called to complain, and the guy was VERY unhelpful. He stated that he could move us to a different room. I explained that was not an option as we have an 8-month old baby who is sleeping. I asked to speak to a manager and he stated that no manager was on duty. This place is disgusting and very poorly ran. read more
