    The fire pit

This was our first stay in Dublin Ohio and we like to stay in Bonvoy properties. We chose TownePlace Suites by Marriott because it's a new property and it's in a great walkable location to the very cool downtown Dublin area. The rooms are spacious and studio apartment style. Refrigerator, electric cooktop, microwave full dinnerware, glassware utensils and pots and pans. Coffeemaker and garbage disposal too. The property is clean new and has a wonderful staff who are both friendly and professional. There is a workout room, indoor pool and washers and dryers available for use. Outside they have grills to cookout and my favorite a fire pit! Highly recommend whether you are staying for a couple or nights or longer. Feels like home and vacation at the same time.

Stayed here for a night while we visited the zoo which is only 11 minutes away. It's conveniently close to a Graeter's ice cream as well as few restaurants. The place is relatively new so everything is clean and in good condition. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room itself is decently spacious and the AC unit was pretty effective as the room was chilly when we first got in which we liked. The AC unit does have a noticeable hum though so be warned if you like dead silence when you sleep. The beds, however were comfy and the pillows soft and lofty. Bathroom-wise, it's a open/door-less shower so make sure the bathroom door is closed otherwise it may get drafty when you're showering. Overall we had a smooth uneventful stay and check out was as easy as tossing our cards in a bucket of alcohol, would definitely stay here again.

Our room was very spacious with nice amenities. I just love the layout of this hotel and room. We looked around at things we didn't use but we were only there one night. Nice gym, a beautiful pool and hot tub with the handicap accessible chairs. There were several families having a really good time. There's three glass elevators that overlook the atrium as u travel up and down. In the morning their breakfast is fantastic!!! Just about anything u could possibly want! Eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, pancakes and a make your own waffles. Juices, Coffee, toast, bagels, cereals and the best was they will make an omelet for u. U pick your favorite ingredients! All of it very good! We really enjoyed our stay with just one little glitch. Our room was stuffy but no adjusting the thermostat would get it below 74. It was hard to sleep with a room that warm. By the time we realized it, it was late or we would have asked to be moved. We informed the desk as we checked out so it can be fixed before the next person stays. (Room 720)

The rooms were very dirty, poorly maintained, and in desperate need of updating. The staff was friendly and tried to help, but when you only have one front desk attendant and 1 maintenance guy, its hard to keep up. My first room did not have a working air conditioning in the second was only slightly better with only the front half of the room cooling and was poorly cleaned (urine spots on toilet, hairs in bed sheets, filthy microwave, stained and debris on carpet, food left under sink from previous occupant, smears on TV screen). I will not stay t this property again.

But the suites at this Residence Inn don't just have kitchenettes -- they have full kitchens! In the hotel room, there's a refrigerator and freezer, a stove with an oven, a sink, dishes and silverware, and lots of storage for your food. The room also has a two-person bar table just off the kitchen, so there's somewhere to sit and eat. Having a kitchen and table in our room made our stay just that much more enjoyable. We stayed in a room with a king bed, but there were four of us so two of us slept on the pull-out couch bed. Both beds were comfortable, and they give you extra linens and blankets for the pull-out, and you can request more if that's not enough. This hotel has an indoor pool that's pretty large, and the water was warm. The gym, which is right by the pool, is kind of small, so you might want to get there early so you can work out by yourself. There is also an outdoor basketball court around the side of the hotel. Just ask the people behind the desk for a basketball if you didn't bring one with you! The only downside to our stay was that housekeeping will not service your room unless you're staying for a week or more. So each day, we had to leave our own trash bags outside of our hotel room for the staff to eventually pick up. We also had to do the same with our wet/dirty towels, and then request clean towels at the front desk each day. It was kind of a drag. Apparently, this is the new standard with hotels since the pandemic, so I kind of expected to do my own room service. It just puts a downer on the trip, and I wish they would reinstate room service again as a standard.

Hello, I am writing…read morethis review to inform all potential customers and this commercial establishment itself that Home2 Suites by Hilton, Dublin OH violates numerous legally mandated laws concerning safety and sanitation due to the presence of toxic mold inside hotel rooms. ORC § 3731.13 states "All bedding used in any hotel must be thoroughly aired, disinfected, and kept clean. No bedding which is infested with vermin or bedbugs shall be used on any bed in any hotel. All floors, carpets and equipment in hotels, and all walls and ceilings shall be kept in sanitary condition". ORC § 3781.06 states "Any building that may be used as a palace of resort [...] dwelling [...] shall be so constructed, erected, equipped, and maintained that they shall be safe and sanitary for their intended use and occupancy." ORC § 3781.06(8) further elaborates that "'Sanitary,' with respect to a building, means it is free from danger or hazard to the health of persons occupying or frequenting it or to that of the public, if such danger arises from the method or materials of its construction or from any equipment installed therein, for the purpose of lighting, heating, ventilating, or plumbing". I stayed for two sleepless nights in this hotel before booking an early return flight due to the severely debilitating health effects of toxic mold poisoning. In the two nights I have stayed in this hotel, I have experienced the following symptoms of mold toxicity/poisoning as listed by Cleveland Clinic under "What are the symptoms of black mold exposure?" - Sneezing - Coughing - Nasal congestion - Postnasal drip - Red eyes - Wheezing - Shortness of breath (dyspnea) - Dry cough and chest tightness Government publication "Mold and Your Health" by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences states "The World Health Organization, National Academy of Medicine, and National Toxicology Program (NTP) all confirm that occupants of damp, moldy buildings have an increased chance of respiratory problems, such as shortness of breath and worsening asthma [...] Extended exposure to mold has been linked to short-term memory loss, lightheadedness, dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, and loss of other cognitive functions [...] Long term exposure to inhaled mycotoxins may promote inflammation and immune system changes." By subjecting lawful customers including but not limited to myself and my travel companion, Home2 Suites by Hilton, Dublin OH violates the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act (CSPA) under ORC § 1345.02(A) "No supplier shall commit an unfair or deceptive act or practice in connection with a consumer transaction. Such an unfair or deceptive act or practice by a supplier violates this section whether it occurs before, during, or after the transaction." Numerous comments in the Yelp and Google Maps review sections complain of hazardous sanitary and hygiene standards during their stay, to which the establishment is quick to issue apologies without actually implementing corrective measures. Home2 Suites by Hilton, Dublin OH repeatedly confirms awareness of having violated legally binding sanitation codes and engages in negligence at the unfair expense of the consumer's health.
