Hello, I am writing this review to inform all potential customers and this commercial establishment itself that Home2 Suites by Hilton, Dublin OH violates numerous legally mandated laws concerning safety and sanitation due to the presence of toxic mold inside hotel rooms. ORC § 3731.13 states "All bedding used in any hotel must be thoroughly aired, disinfected, and kept clean. No bedding which is infested with vermin or bedbugs shall be used on any bed in any hotel. All floors, carpets and equipment in hotels, and all walls and ceilings shall be kept in sanitary condition". ORC § 3781.06 states "Any building that may be used as a palace of resort [...] dwelling [...] shall be so constructed, erected, equipped, and maintained that they shall be safe and sanitary for their intended use and occupancy." ORC § 3781.06(8) further elaborates that "'Sanitary,' with respect to a building, means it is free from danger or hazard to the health of persons occupying or frequenting it or to that of the public, if such danger arises from the method or materials of its construction or from any equipment installed therein, for the purpose of lighting, heating, ventilating, or plumbing". I stayed for two sleepless nights in this hotel before booking an early return flight due to the severely debilitating health effects of toxic mold poisoning. In the two nights I have stayed in this hotel, I have experienced the following symptoms of mold toxicity/poisoning as listed by Cleveland Clinic under "What are the symptoms of black mold exposure?" - Sneezing - Coughing - Nasal congestion - Postnasal drip - Red eyes - Wheezing - Shortness of breath (dyspnea) - Dry cough and chest tightness Government publication "Mold and Your Health" by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences states "The World Health Organization, National Academy of Medicine, and National Toxicology Program (NTP) all confirm that occupants of damp, moldy buildings have an increased chance of respiratory problems, such as shortness of breath and worsening asthma [...] Extended exposure to mold has been linked to short-term memory loss, lightheadedness, dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, and loss of other cognitive functions [...] Long term exposure to inhaled mycotoxins may promote inflammation and immune system changes." By subjecting lawful customers including but not limited to myself and my travel companion, Home2 Suites by Hilton, Dublin OH violates the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act (CSPA) under ORC § 1345.02(A) "No supplier shall commit an unfair or deceptive act or practice in connection with a consumer transaction. Such an unfair or deceptive act or practice by a supplier violates this section whether it occurs before, during, or after the transaction." Numerous comments in the Yelp and Google Maps review sections complain of hazardous sanitary and hygiene standards during their stay, to which the establishment is quick to issue apologies without actually implementing corrective measures. Home2 Suites by Hilton, Dublin OH repeatedly confirms awareness of having violated legally binding sanitation codes and engages in negligence at the unfair expense of the consumer's health. read more

This is a nice hotel, I highly recommend it. Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and space. Very spacious and comfortable. I had a couch and two queen size beds. The beds were comfortable. The shower had a nice stream with hot water. There was a full-size refrigerator, dishes, dishwasher, and sink. The hotel was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. Just keep in mind that it is a continental breakfast. Enjoy your stay. read more

I'd definitely stay at the Home2 Suites again (this was my first time at this brand). The place seems newish based on my visual of the building and the surrounding properties. There was plenty of parking, mostly located in the front of the building. Check in was quick. My room was really nice. The layout sort of reminds me of the the Marriott Townplace Suites. Walk in and there's the kitchen, followed by the desk and then the dresser/tv. There isn't a closet per se but an open concept space where clothes could be hung with a curtain that you can pull to "close" the closet. The same curtain system is in place to separate the sleeping area from the living area. Everything was bright and clean. The only nit I had was they offered only dishwasher detergent. Since I only used a fork during my stay (I ate take out) there was not other way to clean the fork other than running it through the dishwasher. They should provide a small bottle of liquid dish soap. I didn't get to check out the other amenities such as the gym or pool. But those areas seemed nice. The lack of free weights was disappointing. And the pool was mostly kids and families. read more

I had an unexpected need to stay at a hotel (car wreck) and needed a very late check-in and check-out. They were super helpful and friendly, got me what I needed, and the price was actually reasonable ($94 for a king suite, and I didn't even bother with my AAA or AARP discounts.) It was a pretty darn nice room, especially for the price. Comfy bed, good pillows, kitchenette with all the usuals plus a dishwasher. Decent bathroom, not huge but not so small I banged my elbows. Covers for the shampoo and soap fell off; I just left them off. TV was a bit small compared to competitors, but I didn't really need it. Nice lobby area, a pool and gym and other amenities if you need them. I missed the breakfast, but they do have a small store. I would definitely go back, just for the price and bed, but the stay in general was very pleasant. read more

Great room with everything we needed for a multi-week stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations and amenities. The hotel was very nice with indoor and outdoor seating areas to lounge. The pool is a bit small and a bit on the cool side but it was nice to have a place to swim and relax. My only complaint is that the breakfast offerings were a bit disappointing. This hotel is still doing a covid-like breakfast so it's just waffles and grab-and-go type food. The location is a good central location for getting around by car. read more

I stayed here recently for a trip I made down to Columbus for a wedding. It's your standard Hotel. It does have a mini kitchen because it is kind of an extended stay type of hotel. The staff are kind and friendly and helpful with anything you needed. They do have a pool and a small gym as well. The things I found disappointing were: 1. The continental breakfast. They had advertisements for this all over the building and they made it sound a lot better than it was. Basically like it was nearly restaurant style breakfast. It was not. It was your standard continental breakfast that you get at any hotel. Which normally would be fine with me but the way it was advertised was so frustrating. And it wasn't very good at all. I ended up going somewhere else for breakfast after eating a little bit of something from there. 2. They only clean rooms on the weekends by request. They say it is to save resources basically. Like they're trying to go green-ish. I guess that's fine I understand but when we arrived in our room the bathroom was still a bit dirty from the last person that stayed there. You could tell there was clumps of someone's hair on the bathroom floor so the floor obviously had not been swept. And there were used bottles of shampoo and conditioner and an open bar of soap still in the shower. Overall it's just a standard Hotel. Would I stay there again?? Sure. I just was a little bit disappointed with a few things. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights Memorial Day weekend. Our main reason to be in the area was to visit the Columbus Zoo. Check in was a breeze! Our room was so spacious and this was wonderful since we had 2 small kids with us and they had room to run around. I loved the mini kitchen. I always bring snacks and drinks with us and it was great to have that space. Our room was clean and bright. The couch wasn't super comfortable but not a deal breaker. I also wasn't a fan of the hardware of the pocket door to the bathroom, it wasn't easy opening and closing. Heads up: no tub just shower. We booked this particular hotel because it was both pet friendly (for my mother in laws dog) and had an indoor pool for us. Breakfast was a bonus! The waffles were delicious and they had a nice assortment of sandwiches. And I have to say they did a good job keeping it stocked especially with the amount of people there for softball/baseball tournaments. The pool was on the smaller size and would've been great if not for all the kids staying there this weekend. We went both nights to the pool and I was unhappy that the floor was not cleaned in that 24 hour period. I will for sure keep Home 2 in mind when booking again. read more

My husband and I stayed on a Friday night. Check in was easy but the lobby was full of young kids having a pizza party and it was extremely noisy. The lobby smelled like chlorine from the pool area. Our room was nice with a sofa and large screen TV to watch NCAA basketball championships. The bed linens were wrinkled and did not smell freshly laundered. I'm not sure if it's the type of sheets they use or their wash/dry process. There was something dried on the bed skirt (see pic) and a to-go container with a half eaten burrito was left in the fridge from the previous guest. We were awakened by more screaming/yelling kids running up and down the hallway at 7am. I realize this hotel caters to families and pets and I'm fine with that. Perhaps it's a parenting issue rather than the hotel's. About the only thing we enjoyed during our stay was the shower! It was great! And we love the fact that Home2 is very cognizant of the environment by recycling and conservation methods. I'm not sure I'd stay there again. read more

It's newer with and old feeling. Clean and functional. A full size dish washer but no stovetop. Used the Hilton app as a key. Kids next door partied until 2am but I'm sure no one heard it but my family . Two towels even though it's a suite. Breakfast was nuke-a-sandwich style. The location was convenient to our destination and is in a cute, newly developed area of Columbus. read more

Brand new hotel yet they tried to save money and make the walls between rooms paper thin. If you want to stay here and lay in bed and listen to exactly what the person is doing above you go ahead . 6am and the guy above us sounds like a heard of elephants . I stay at Home2 hotels often for work, and this one was on par with any other! Clean, good amenities, friendly staff, digital key...the only reason they didn't get 5 stars this week was my digital key didn't work on the exterior doors, so I ended up having to walk around the outside of the hotel in 24 degree weather to go in the front door after stepping outside one night! Hotel looks nice, the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Like most of the other reviews, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The family upstairs went to bed after 2:00 am and woke up at 4:59 am. Guess how I know? Their kids and the sound of their stampy feet were what I fell asleep to and what welcomed me in the morning. Also check out is at noon but expect someone to start knocking on your door around 9:30. They don't stop with that annoying tap knocking until you leave. We really didn't get to see the breakfast area because it was a mad house when we finally left. read more

Found a bed bug in extra bedding sent up for the sofa bed. We took a picture and shared it with the manager, who switched our room at 12:30 am. The next day we were told there would be no charge for the inconvenience and given a receipt showing $0.00 owed. But three days later we were charged for the room. After a call to the hotel and two very lengthy calls to a corporate helpline, we still have no resolution! Horrible customer service. read more

Staff was RUDE; inexcusable! Never again. I was particularly impressed with size of rooms and how nice the hotel felt when I first checked in. That being said, our 2 night stay resulted in total dissatisfaction. I would start by saying that the hotel is not family friendly. Floor to Floor noise controls are not good. You can hear everything, talking or even footsteps. That being said, our stay along with several other families, was completely ruined by rude staff members who were not properly trained to manage situations. We were also asked to leave to front lobby at 10:30pm due to noise on a SATURDAY NIGHT. Anyone who stays at a hotel uses the lobby as a social gathering area, many have bar areas and are open late. So you can't use rooms to gather because of noise controls apparently the lobby is not open to guests either beyond a certain time. read more

My mother in- law and her sister were supposed to stay here last week, but her sister who is from Florida got incredibly sick with a high fever and ended up in the hospital and unable to come. I understand rooms can be non refundable, but there should be certain situations that justify refunds. These are two senior citizens that were treated rudely and refused a refund. Have a heart people. This is extremely disappointing. My mother in law even wrote a letter, and you guys didn't even have the courtesy so respond. Sad and ridiculous. read more

Awesome place to stay as rooms were large, property new, breakfast was good only space in he morning to get your food was cramped due to weekend guests. I'd give 5 stars but can't due to friendliness of on staff member. Not even an acknowledgement or smile when you approach here. Perhaps move here to another position where customer service is not required. We will come back and stay again. read more

Clean, comfy, and affordable as suites go. The only criticism is the "free full breakfast". Do yourself a favor and make breakfast in the room, and grab a piece of fruit as a snack. The "egg" options are prepackaged vending machine type and couldn't be worse. I was sick after a bite to two. read more
