We stayed at the Hilton Mystic and were pleasantly surprised after reading some mixed reviews beforehand. Overall, we had a really nice stay. The pool area was one of the highlights -- plenty of seating and they even show movies at night which gives it a fun family-friendly vibe. There's also a bar on-site (although no happy hour on Fridays or Saturdays), with multiple seating options. One area was quieter and more spacious for relaxing with a drink, while another was outdoors with fire pits which looked nice in the evening. The hotel has a fun maritime theme. The rooms were spacious and conveniently included both a microwave and mini fridge, which always makes traveling easier. The location is hard to beat since it's directly across from Mystic Aquarium and close to everything else in the area. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Mystic. Just returned from a 2 night stay. And not a cheap one I picked the Hilton because it was across the street from the village and aquarium. Park and walk. And because if the Hilton name. Checked in, king room. Felt a little cramped. As we went to the restaurant for dinner I asked if anything bigger was available. The very sweet young man at the desk switched us to a king jacuzzi room. He warned us the the jacuzzi did not work. Fine by me. The room was a touch bigger than other but both rooms looked like they needed serious updating. Problem #1. The toilet hardly flushed. We let them know and they were going to send an "engineer" to look. Never showed. #2 First morning I told cleaning we'd be out in 10; she never came back. Saw her in hall 2 hours later and again let her know. Never showed. Left a message with housekeeping. Nothing Finally on way out to dinner we asked the desk for clean towels, garbage emptied and new coffee pods. After dinner came back to towels tossed on dresser. That's it. Left the full garbage. No coffee. Thanks And as a footnote to anyone getting this type of room. Holy god the shower is in the jacuzzi! It's a REALLY big step in and out. This property is appropriately decorated with a sea theme. The rooms are clean. My room had a mini fridge and microwave, which was great for leftovers. It is walking distance from the Aquarium and Village. Staff was friendly. There is a restaurant/bar on site. As seen in the pics, the restaurant has this adorable heated outdoor seating area. The property is also a quick drive to Downtown. This stay was convenient for thr weekend but is definitely a little pricey. Would definitely return. read more

Best stay ever in Mystic! This hotel is by far a step above all the rest in the area and looking forward to returning! Perfectly located for convenience to everything. Unfortunately had to meet management, but they were the most helpful, empathetic, and accommodating people you could ask for! Colleen and CC made it possible for our stay with them after a disgraceful debacle created by Tripadvisor. I have learned, and my only recommendation, is that you book directly with them, and never through any third parties, especially Tripadvisor! These ladies saved our Easter holiday! Spacious and immaculate clean rooms, so many amenities, beautiful water and fire features with warm and welcoming decor, and again, a top staff! The in house restaurant was excellent too! I came here a few years in a row for a conference that resulted in a several nights stay each time. The stay was a positive experience each time! It is literally across the street from Old Mystic Village and the aquarium. It is centrally located to quite a bit. Beaches, hiking trails, YMCA's (lol) for crazy people who work out while away for work. So many seafood options and great restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is well maintained. The staff are accommodating and only mildly uneducated. Overall I appreciate this location and wouldn't mind returning for business or pleasure. read more

Sparks is part of the Hilton Hotel. We came here because it was recommended. At arriving, We were shown our room, when trying the lock on the door. We found that it didn't work properly. So We were switched room. We found strange that the rooms don't have dresser drawers, but shelves. the shelves are open. The bathroom is small that the sink in not in the bathroom, but in main room. Hotel is in a good location for those visiting the Mystic attractions. First, a couple of general observations: the mattresses are double (or full?) - these are not queen size, so guests should be aware of this. Second, the only door for entry is the front door, which means long walks if you are located at the end of the tangential hallways. There are plenty of emergency exits, so it is unclear why a couple of these could not provide key-access - which would also make parking easier, since everyone wants to park near front door. Second - maintenance of rooms was poor. The cabinet door that provides entry to the mini-fridge fell off when we went to open it. From the looks of scratches in the door interior, this appeared to be an ongoing issue. The toilet seat was cracked in places and should be replaced; and then to top it all off, on our second day we found a crow bar on the window sill (partially hidden by the window shades) - I assume this was left there by a maintenance person? Third - housekeeping was poor. The container of conditioner in the shower was completely empty on our arrival and was not replenished on our second day either - nor were the shampoo and body wash containers replenished during our stay. Cleaning was superficial at best; with less visible areas (such as under the sink/vanity) apparently not having been cleaned for quite a while. I did not advise the front desk of these issues until our departure since I didn't want the bother of having maintenance enter our room during our stay. Also, we did not make use of the restaurant, so I have no comment on that (except to mention the nearby Mystic Diner is a great place for breakfast!). read more

Stayed here for a wedding in a room block. Overall the experience was fine, the rooms were clean and relatively spacious and the lobby area was very beautiful. Was a bit surprised that the 2 bed rooms had double beds instead of queens so just be aware of that. We did have one strange experience at the hotel bar on Saturday night, where the bartender was clearly having a rough night and ended up yelling at multiple patrons for various reasons and ended up closing the bar about a half hour early. Definitely felt bad for her because she was manning the bar alone, but management should have provided her some support before it got to the point where she was so frustrated that she was arguing with and yelling at patrons. read more

Hotel was beautiful! Absolutely loved the fireplace sitting area. The hotel is a very long walk to the rooms so if you have issues walking like I do I suggest bringing a cane or travel chair. Our first room we were assigned to had no window! It did have a "sliding door" to the pool but it didn't open and if it did open there was stuff up against the doorway anyway so you couldn't just walk to the pool anyway. We asked our room be changed and they had no issues. I do not think it was worth $300 a night. read more

Recently, we stayed overnight at the Hilton in Mystic, Connecticut. Customer Service was friendly at check-in. The hotel lobby and hallways were very clean and nicely decorated. All the hotel service staff would greet you as you walked throughout the hotel. Room was clean with plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable. The following day, we had breakfast in the Irons Restaurant within the hotel. The food was very good and prices weren't over the top for a hotel. (Recently, I wrote a review on The Irons Restaurant) Plenty of parking is available. The Hilton in Mystic is directly across the street from the Mystic Aquarium. I'm heartbroken to be writing this, because we've stayed at Hilton Mystic for years as part of a beloved family tradition. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was deeply upsetting and has left us rethinking whether we'll ever return. While dining at the on-site restaurant, my husband and brother-in-law were harassed by a waitress over our 2-year-old son's behavior. He's autistic and nonverbal - and yes, he dropped a few French fries on the floor, as toddlers sometimes do. Instead of responding with kindness or patience, the waitress scolded them not only for his behavior but also for how they cleaned it up. As if that weren't enough, she made a completely inappropriate and insulting comment suggesting they "must be single dads" because of how "poorly" they were managing the kids. We choose this hotel because it's supposed to be family-friendly. But there was nothing family-friendly about being judged, embarrassed, and spoken to with zero empathy - especially as a family doing our best with a special needs child. My son is two. He is doing his best in a world not always built for him. The way we were treated was not just disappointing - it was cruel. We reached out privately and received no response. I hope this review encourages Hilton Mystic to reflect on how they train their staff. Families like mine deserve to be treated with understanding and respect - not shame. read more

I was a little skeptical at first because you never really know what you're going to get. Hilton's are not always the same. However, the one reason I knocked off the star is because I think the store was very overpriced and the beds were very loud also they advertise a dive in movie but don't actually play the movie because the guy walked away before pressing start. The people were very nice there and that's a plus because she did feel bad that it happened. She ended up not charging us for a drink. I do love the room and the whole atmosphere of the hotel with all the fireplaces. I love the whole decor of it like being on a pirate ship. I would probably stay there again because I think it's conveniently located. But bring my own snacks next time read more

What a great location this hotel is located in , it's so close to everything you want to do in Mystic. I stayed here for a conference and the rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking space even with so many people staying there . It's literally across from the aquarium and steps away from the old Mystic village . It's surrounded by restaurants and only 25 mins from Mohegan Sun. I would recommend this hotel for a quick stay. read more

I found this to be the nicest Hilton property that I have ever stayed at! The decor throughout the hotel was beautiful. I loved how everything fit so nicely into the nautical theme that you would expect from a hotel in historic Mystic, Connecticut. The room was large and either very new or remodeled. The hotel is conveniently located close to major roads (but not too close), and is right near several shops and is a very short drive from downtown Mystic. I loved the lounge area with it's cozy, unique fireplace. And although we didn't go to the Happy Hour--it sounded like a great option with a lot of variety. We highly recommend this hotel. read more

So glad we only had to stay here 1 night. In our first king room the AC unit was broken and wouldn't turn on. Keep in mind, this happened to be the accessible room as well. The woman at the counter was not graceful with our request for a new room and seemed bitter. They gave us a new room, but with 2 double beds, as she could not refund us any money since we booked through a corporate program. She did not offer us anything for our inconvenience. Instead, Our second room was on the second floor as far away as possible and stank of stale cigarette smoke. Say what you will, but it seemed like a petty move to us. Annoyed, but eager to just get settled we accepted this was our night and went out to dinner. Upon return I noticed I had sheets stained with some sort of ink, the tv kept freezing (and in the morning the live tv option didn't work at all) and we decided not to give this place anymore of our time and money and went elsewhere for coffee and breakfast in the morning. It's a great location, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend to anyone else, there are better options. We should have believed the other reviews, but again, it was only one night for us, live and learn. read more

The manager there is extremely rude. This is the second time I ran into mold issues at two different Mystic Hilton hotel hotels. I was given a room where the bathtub was mold infested. I was treated very poorly when I asked for another room. At first, I was told I could not have another room. But after going up to the room with the another lady, I was giving another room. But this room was bad too. They had no windows in there. It was connected to the pool room. Right under the weight room. Very very noisy. I did not get the relaxing stay that I was hoping for. This stay was compensation for the horrible stay I had at Spark Hilton Mystic because they have a terrible mold issue on their first floor there. . It's disgusting. People can get sick from this mold. I suffered a severe migraine for almost 24 hours after being exposed to it for just a few minutes several different that I kept getting transferred to. Because of this I was given a stay at the other Hilton Mystic When I made complaint But this stay was just as bad as Spark's. My bathroom was mold infested and the way the management spoke to me was absolutely unprofessional. I do have of this. I posted a different review and I can't reply to it on Google maps. But the manager is lying saying that I got refunded. I never got refunded a dime for anything. I'd like a full complete refund from my original the spark or else I will take other actions. If I could give zero stars, I'd give zero. i'm not sure exactly how to post photos, but I will figure it out and post photos for everyone to see the quality of the bathroom I was given on my stay. The photos are on Google maps and I plan on leaving a review on every single platform. I can find possible to try to warn others of this so they can choose to book their stays elsewhere and run into the same unpleasant circumstances that I had to. I also plan on contacting the BBB. We stayed for 1 night. Woke up to a flooded bathroom with water leaking from the ceiling. Had to leave immediately because we have 2 small children. We spoke to someone at the front desk who assured us we would hear from the GM. That didn't happen. Left a message for the gm and never heard back. Very disappointed. Just spent an overnight with my daughter and grandkids at the Hilton in Mystic Ct. the place was clean but the customer service lacking. Forget about calling the front desk. The phone is off the hook and your only answer is a constant busy signal. So we then walked to the front desk and we were told they'd bring the blankets right up. as former guests, we returned to hilton mystic because of its proximity to the town area, rooms with whirlpool tubs, and the restaurant's lobster mac and cheese. unfortunately, we were highly disappointed as we found hairs in the whirlpool tub upon arrival (most likely from the former guests). with that' said, we did our best to clean the tub as we paid a lot for this room and were not going to miss out. the whirlpool was refreshing with nice hot water and an extendable hose connected with the bathtub area. additionally, housekeeping abruptly woke us up at 9:30 AM and then continued to knock at our door asking if we were done for quiet an extended period until i called the front desk to speak with them. (check out is supposed to be at 11 am, which the front desk staff verified). in terms of the restaurant, definitely upsetting that they did not have any lobster leftover for us to order in our mac and cheese. there were a lot of kids in this hotel when we stayed also FYI read more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Mystic. We had another hotel booked but when we got there we were told the elevator was broken and had to scramble for another place. We walked in and spoke to CC who was super helpful and hooked us up with a room. We stayed in the king room and were very pleased. The bathroom was a little aged but clean. The bed was comfy and the sheets fresh. The entire room was spacious and comfortable and great for two adults and a toddler. The pool was fun - it was a salt water pool and we enjoyed swimming around and hanging out in the large pool area. It was a bit chilly there due to the glass ceiling/large windows but it didn't stop up. The staff member working in the pool area (Devante? i think?) was super helpful and full of kid friendly information both at the hotel and outside. There were a lot of spacious seating areas and nooks to hang out in. Everything seemed clean and well maintained. They layout was a bit convoluted with the different sections of the hotel but it's ok. The location was prime - walking distance to the aquarium and Mystic Village. The walk to center of town was also doable (it was too cold when we were there). read more

Hair, slime, dirt, etc. Not happy with quality, especially when paying for a 4 star hotel. Only option provided was to send housekeeping up at 9pm when already settling for the night. read more

We are here for a conference and not really impressed. Best thing about it is the location. Rooms are outdated as far as modcons. Very noisy. You can hear other guests through the walls, talking or TV volume. The room heat sounds like a jet engine and the other members of my group said the same for their rooms. Building temperature not well managed. Public bathrooms are pretty gross. Gym is tiny. Mobile check in was useless as our room wasn't ready at the promised time. I tried to activate mobile key and still had to go to front desk with ID. Kind of kills the purpose of going mobile! Would not recommend. read more

This hotel was nice, but 1: The employees were super annoying and rude. They completely disrespected us and made it a hassle for everything. 2: They had said that "There will be movies in the pool" and they never did it. The employees working the projector sat there messing around with the controls and scrolling on tiktok with their phone. Then they left without even saying "sorry guys but there will not be any movie." They just left. 3: The room service was TERRIBLE. They never served our food to our room. We went to the restaurant in the hotel to pick up our food instead and we waited around 35 minutes before we went up to an employee and they gave us the food AFTER 10 MORE MINUTES. All we ordered was pancakes and French toast. The food wasn't even good. In general this place was average, but there were many inconveniences and annoyances. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Mystic over the weekend. We were given a room on the first floor near the emergency exit. We noticed leaves on the carpet when we arrived on Friday, we left Sunday and the leaves were still there. Do they vacuum every once in a while. Were the leaves there from the fall ??? They were brown and dried. Our room had a tub mat, two small hand towels, two bath towels and a small face towel. I requested an extra set of bath towels on my app and they arrived two ours later. The AC worked well but when it wasn't blowing there was still a humming sound constantly coming from the unit - 24/7. Even turning it off didn't help. No breakfast included but perhaps I was supposed to choose Breakfast Included option when I booked the room. Perhaps this a good thing but there is only one way in and one way out of the hotel through the front entrance. No other doors available to get in so when you arrive late in the evening and park in the back of the hotel because there is no other parking available you have to walk to the front and then walk all the way to your room. Lobby coffee - only available for a few hours in the morning, I went to get coffee at 10:20AM and the coffee was taken away - I thought it was going to be refilled and waited, and waited, and waited. I asked the clerk if more coffee was coming out and I was told - Nope, that's it for this morning. I expected more from a Hilton Hotel, I'm a loyal Honor's member. I think I'll stick to a Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites or Hampton Inn next time (Hilton's other hotels). Oh well, draw your own conclusion. read more

My wife and I have stayed here in the past, and we enjoy the location. The room this time, was not in great shape overall, and they gave us the wrong room, but the lobby and Restraunt are very nice, and they have a good breakfast. The fitness center is nicely kept, with a set of dumbbells, treadmills, and a couple other machines. I would still recommend staying here, just don't come in with high expectations of the room. The management did offer an apology for the room mess up, and the rooms poor condition. read more
