Great fried cauliflower with avocado sauce and elk stew tasted wonderful. Owner Joyce and waiter Manny were wonderful.

We came to celebrate a birthday, and even though it was busy, she went out of her way to fit us in and genuinely cared about making our experience a great one. Thank you, Latoya, for your outstanding hospitality!

But as soon as we sat down, we knew that wouldn't be the case here. Natalie D. was incredibly bubbly, helpful, and funny, and made our beautiful rooftop meal even better than we expected. She ensured we got our happy hour stuff in by 5 pm, had great recommendations (which is always amazing, as indecisive people), and made us feel welcome and special. The cajun dry rub wings were amazing and the happy hour portion was generous for both those and the truffle fries. For entrees we had the braised short rib, HH smashburger, and scallops with truffle polenta. Everything was tasty! The polenta was slightly bland but polenta often is; Just ask for some lemon and salt on the side and it would be perfect. The scallops were cooked perfectly! Also the cocktail of the month for July, the Butterfly Pea Daiquiri, was delicious! Perfectly balanced and refreshing. At 4:30 pm on a Tuesday, it was fairly empty and had a great atmosphere on the outside section of the rooftop. Obviously the view was amazing, but everything else was great along with it!

Our bar tender was friendly and informative. He lets us sample a beer as my husband was curious but wasn't sure he wanted to order a pint. We each got a pint and ordered an appetizer of chip and queso. The queso was a bit too thin and runny for my liking but had great flavor. I got the pork green chili and my husband got the French onion soup, both were delicious, warm and a perfect cozy winter meal. We were both full from just that but our eyes were clearly bigger than our stomachs and we ordered fries. The fries were fine, nothing special, I wouldn't recommend them. We will be back to try more beers when we visit the area.

Finding a seat wasn't a problem and our group sat down to unwind after a long day of travel. Our server was excellent and she informed us that a few things off the menu weren't available due to an understaffed kitchen and that only a few beer selections were on tap because their head brewer had recently quit. Not a stellar start, but shit happens in the restaurant industry. My rating--I ordered a steak which was good but slightly over-cooked for my tastes and their unfortunately minimal beer selection. I don't like IPAs and that was really the only option for "lighter" beers. I'm sure they'll get things sorted out and when they do, I'll give them another chance.
