Crispy at the end and edges and soft and light at the outer rim layered with salted butter on both sides of the bread with fresh garlic slices on top paired with fried garlic bits and cilantro bits. Would come again just for this appetizer 2.99$ 10/10. Momo chicken dumplings - not bad but both sauces provided are spicy. I can't eat spicy so I didn't get to dip my dumplings otherwise these may have tasted a lot better. Meat inside wasn't dry and had a light taste of curry with slight spice. Not a hit for me but could be if you like spicy. Chai was not my cup of tea but my friend liked it. Strong tea flavor but not sweet or creamy enough for what I like. I ordered for pickup from Himalayan Hub to avoid the inflated DoorDash prices, where each item was about 4 to 5 dollars more. Since it was on the way home, picking up was easy. I got fried chicken momos, steamed chicken momos, chicken manchurian, and chicken chow mein. The order was ready in about 30 minutes. Portions were generous, enough for two people, and it came with a few tasty sauces. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and I especially enjoyed the steamed momos. Finally got to try this newly opened restaurant. The service is so kind and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Ambiance is casual and the decor is clean and eclectic. There are different countries' flags everywhere and colorful hats which make it fun and vibrant inside. We ordered a bunch of dishes to try out: cheese naan, palak paneer, lamb biryani, and chicken momos. Everything was good, but I think I was expecting the dishes to be a bit more flavorful since I'm more used to Indian food. The naan was a little too thick and not as salted or crisped up as I'm used to, and the curries weren't very spiced. I usually like my food to punch me in the face though haha, so others might really enjoy this level. Still, it was a really filling meal and a great try! I'm Nepalese and I'm always trying to find authentic delicious food in the bay and this has definitely made it to my top 3 list! My go to dishes I ALWAYS get and would recommend to everyone is their chai, pakora, aloo tiki, jhol chicken momo, chicken chili momo, mixed chowmein, and their kebab (i like their lamb or chicken one). There is usually street parking close or around the block, the price point is definitely a bang for your buck. All of this cost around $75 which is crazy in this economy and the food is served fresh so it may take some time but worth it, server is also very nice. Highly recommend! read more

Delicious & affordable I ordered the thakali lamb plate and it was a great deal for essentially a combo plate, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her lamb tikka masala. We also ordered the tikka fries and they were SO GOOD. I am very picky about fries but these were perfect. I also loved the masala sauce they came with. I didn't visit the actual restaurant, but the food my friend picked up was so good I had to write a review. I got the salt and pepper wings -- and they were so flavorful and crispy even after being in transit for a while. All my friend also really enjoyed their food as well (they got the chicken fried rice and the chicken manchurian). Took me a while to find this place, even though I live across the street. But wow, didn't think there were places on Valencia that charge less than $16 for an entree. This place is a great value. Everything on the menu is very affordable. I'm usually not really into Nepalese food, I'd rather just get Indian or Chinese, but I think this place does it right, especially the lamb vindaloo sauce that has the perfect amount of mala (spicy/numbing). All the sauces were amazing and I just dumped all of them over a giant mound of rice and surprisingly they all melded well. Portions aren't the largest, but every entree comes with plenty of sauce, so as long as you have a ton of rice, you'll enjoy the meal. read more

I wanted this to be my new Indian spot but it was just ok. I ordered the veggie Thali and it came with three dishes, dhal, cauliflower and a curry. Also came with some greens and spicy pickle. No raita, no deseert and no chapati and lots of naan. It all mostly very spicy which I like usually but there wasn't a lot of nuance to it. And most Thali come with more options and something more soupy, this was more like a sample platter. Also ordered the veggie momo which was also filled with spice and little flavor. We had 4 different kinds of momo, the fried momo was amazing, the steam and jhol momo were good, and chili momo was ok. The only dish that was bad was lamb chhoila, just a dump of schezuan pepper. This is best Nepalese food I have had in a long time. We tried the steamed chicken momos, lamb choila with white rice, aloo gobi, and garlic naan. The lamb tasted extremely fresh and was not gamey at all. It was spiced just right. The momos were steamed to perfection and the aloo gobi was extremely flavorful and fresh. Cheese Naan: Oh my god I dream about this cheese naan. So cheesy and thick; it was the perfect bready appetizer for any cheese-lover. Veggie Chow Mein: Call me crazy but I love ordering Chow Mein at Indian restaurants. This one comes with thin noodles and the perfect amount of veg for a great side dish. Tikka Wings: Yum yum yum. The tikka sauce was nutty and mild and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Next time, I'd love to try their gobi manchurian and a curry! The staff are friendly and the food is good quality and tasty. Some minor tips for this restaurant to gain more customers: (1) consider dimming the lights as it is quite brite which impacts the ambiance (2) the kitchen does not have a wall/door to separate it from the dining area, so the kitchen noise and smoke from wok frying permeates the dining area (3) the price is very fair, but the servings are a bit on the smaller size (2 people ordered 2 main dishes, naan and rice and we were not full). Probably better for the restaurant to increase the serving size by 20-25% and add $1-2 to the price of each dish (they would then be comparable to Nepa, which is packed w customers). read more
