The meals were freshly cooked to order. Visiting Mobile, we learned about the Conecuh sausage. Which is made and distributed in Mobile area. I tried the classic orange mimosa, mind you they do come in multiple sizes regular size or large size. I did end up with a large size which was perfect (I would've said it was two regular mimosas in one). As our group was celebrating graduation, we got us beignets! I used to work in restaurants (the busiest of restaurants) and know that you should staff more, prep more, and place larger food orders in anticipation of being fully booked friday night till sunday night. I ordered gumbo. My niece got biscuits and gravy. The gumbo was pretty good except would have liked the roux a little thicker. The gravy on the biscuits was lacking in flavor. I love diners and love supporting locally owned businesses. Maybe some staff called off this particular day because the service was slow. But I wil be back.
