I heard a lot of good things about this second location of Hinar so decided to try. The cafe has lots of parking spots available and this place is a lot bigger than downtown location. I tried their earl gray matcha and it was pretty smooth and good! The service was just ok, but def will come back for the drinks and desserts!

Amazing! The pastry and drink I selected were delectable! I got the biscoff matcha and a ham and cheese pastry (photo included). If I'm in the area its a no brainer for me to stop in. The staff were friendly and the ambiance of the cafe is absolutely stunning. I enjoyed all the details

Drinks were really good! Perfect amount of sweetness, matcha taste, and smoothness. Service was quick as well. Interior is really classy and chill. Lots of students studying / just chilling. Also got their raspberry cheesecake and it is divine

Hinar always SLAPS. Their matcha is consistently amazing, easily one of my TOP 5 spots in San Diego. I absolutely love their Earl Grey matcha with the foam on top. The Biscoff matcha and regular matcha are both delicious too. The service is always incredible as well! Everyone is super friendly, and the drinks come out FAST. I also can't forget to mention their beautiful interior. The seats are almost always filled with people studying or friends chatting. One of my favorite spots to hang out, I envy the people who live nearby and can grab this whenever they please.

Hinar has been on my list for awhile, and I'm glad I got to finally check them out. Upon arrival, I saw that the spot is super cute, and it was very busy even though I was there on a Thursday afternoon. All the seating was taken. What I got: - Brown Sugar Latte with Biscoff Foam: this was good, although it was a lot of sweets, it was still balanced with the coffee flavor. I believe the biscoff foam is seasonal. - White Chocolate Raspberry Cake: the cake was fluffy and moist while the raspberries added the perfect tartness to the cake. I will say, the cake isn't overly sweet, which is good, but I do wish there was just a little more cake than the pink cream. This spot is on the pricier side because both items did cost me $18.75 total. Which to me is a little steep.

I remember going to Hinar's downtown location when they first opened, so I was excited to see they opened another spot closer to North County. I had heard mixed things comparing the two, so I wanted to see for myself. First off, parking here is way easier. It's in a big plaza so you don't have to deal with downtown street parking at all, which already makes a difference. The space itself is also bigger. The downtown one had that hallway into a patio, but this one just feels more open and straightforward. Both still carry that same clean, soft, aesthetic vibe though. Neutral tones, bright but not harsh, everything feels very put together. It's one of those places where you can actually sit for a while without feeling overstimulated. The dessert case looked really good. They had macarons lined up, cheesecakes, and those pretty floral decorated cakes that look almost too nice to touch. Everything looked fresh. I was tempted, but I came for the matcha. Their menu is pretty simple, cafe-style on the wall, with some specials at the counter. For matcha, they offer flavors like vanilla, brown sugar, and Earl Grey, plus a seasonal foam. At the time it was Biscoff foam, which you can pair with either a latte or matcha. I got the Biscoff matcha with oat milk, and it came out to a little over $9 with tip. It is on the pricier side for a drink, but presentation and quality wise, it makes sense. I went around 6 pm and there was still plenty of seating. People were studying, on laptops, or just talking, but it didn't feel overcrowded. Tables were spaced out enough where you don't feel on top of other people. The lighting is really nice too, lots of natural light coming in, so it doesn't feel dim or heavy like some cafes do in the evening. The drink came out pretty quickly and looked really good. The matcha was a bright, vibrant green, which is always a good sign, and it had a thick layer of Biscoff cream on top with crumbles sprinkled over it. It looked layered and clean, not messy or rushed. Taste wise, the first couple sips leaned a little sweet, especially from the foam, but once I stirred it, everything balanced out. You still get that strong earthy matcha flavor, which I care about, and the Biscoff adds sweetness without completely taking over. It didn't taste artificial or watered down either. I also liked the texture from the crumbles. As they mixed into the drink, you'd get little bits throughout which made it more interesting instead of just sipping something flat the whole time. The oat milk worked well with it too, it kept it creamy without being too heavy. Only thing, the caffeine is real. I had this around 6 pm and did not fall asleep until like 2 am, so just keep that in mind if you're sensitive to caffeine or going later in the day. Overall, this location holds up. Same aesthetic, same quality, but with way easier parking and more space. It's a solid spot if you're in the area and want a good matcha or just somewhere calm to sit. I'd come back.

We went in for late night dessert so most of the pastries and pudding were sold out. We settled for a cheese cake. Raspberry cheese cake was authentically New York style, delicious, dense and creamy, just like the cheesecake I used to have in NYC. We ordered latte and matcha each to pair with the cheese cake. Lovely barista has decorated our drinks with beautiful roses. Will definitely come back to try other dessert

Immaculate vibes! Yummy macarons (great texture, decent flavor) to have with the black rose tea. The early grey macaron was my favorite in terms of flavor, although the creme brulee was incredibly soft. There's a fair amount of seating as well. I didn't get a chance to try the biscoff latte, but it seemed very popular.

One of my favorite matcha places. I ordered the biscoff cookie matcha and it is by far the best. I have not ordered the desserts yet but I will next time. The service here is very nice and hospitable. I love the ambiance here. U can come and hang out for a bit or come here to study. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back.

This is such a nice place to study and get a great matcha! The place is well decorated and has plenty of tables - however it does get full quickly on weekends. We got today: Earl grey matcha - super flavorful matcha and lovely balance of flavor with the earl grey! Comes hot or iced! Basque cheesecake- creamy and light at the same time! The slice we got was huge too haha Will definitely be coming back here when we are in the area!

After trying Hinar at their first location I was excited to see they opened a secondary one in Poway! Similar ambience and decor which was nice, much more seating and parking! The matcha is always very good and I decided to add their seasonal pistachio cold foam which was a perfect addition!

Came here with friends recently after numerous recommendations from others. Inside was very clean and very pretty with many tables and even more people sitting and chatting or getting some work done. Many of the pastries were sold out already by the time I arrived in the late afternoon. I ordered the early grey matcha with earl grey foam. 5/5 I would order and get this again 100%! Highly recommend ordering this. Earl grey was foam was strong (in a good way) and the earl grey matcha was very flavorful. Definitely worth the extra $0.75 for the syrup and $0.75 for the foam. I also ordered the lemon poppy cake which was also really good (maybe was too sweet after a few bites but still delicious nonetheless). My friend got the sesame cake, but I wasn't a huge fan. Parking was easy and service was good. The items were expensive, but I would still return for the earl grey matcha! Overall, really enjoyed my visit, and I hope to be back soon.

Needed a spot to get some work done, so I went to Hinar. I grabbed my go-to drink, the iced earl grey matcha with Biscoff foam on top, and it was super delicious like always. We also got an iced americano and their basque cheesecake. Hinar has some of the best desserts too. Their basque cheesecake is so light, creamy, and delicious. If you're planning on doing work here, definitely try to grab a spot early because the tables fill up really fast.

From pastries to sandwiches, bread and salads even dressings and also merch! What a hidden gem! Staff is super friendly and very informative. They have fresh crepes Sat/Sun 8am-1pm! Theres a cute stand outside where you can also watch the crepes being made. Ham, egg, cheese, & spinach crepe (7/10): $8.50 for base crepe + extras for add ons. A bit expensive -- not as authentic as the crepes I've had in France, but they are filled reasonably. Wish they were a little crispier! Turkey avo BLT (7.5/10): didn't blow my mind but I still enjoyed it. Good amount of turkey & avo and you can request it toasted! Chicken curry croissant (9/10): lovedddd the flavor. Raisins added the perfect amount of sweetness. The croissant itself is perfectly buttery and flakey! Apple turnover (8/10): would be perfect if it was a little warmer. Generous amount of filling & I liked that it wasn't too sweet. I'd get this again! Almond croissant (9.5/10): SO GOOD. came fresh out of the oven and was soooo flakey & the filling wasn't overpowered by the almond flavor. I'd get this again!! Jalapeno and cheddar sourdough (9/10): SO fresh & they offer to slice it for you. a little spicy and savory & great to eat on its own too! Will definitely come back to try other pastries! I see they've revamped the walls upstairs and seem to have added more seatings too. I noticed they have a water dispensary area which is self serve. There's also a QR code for the menu, but I went ahead and searched the menu online and was helped by Tristan when all my friends have already placed their orders. He made sure to ask how I wanted my eggs done and if I wanted to add anything else. But also orders can be placed using the scanned QR if a server hasn't had a chance to check on your table. I ordered the avocado Benedict with hash. My friends ordered the chilaquiles and french toast, and a bunch others that I didn't get to take a pic of. However, I was able to try the chilaquiles, and the steak on that was so flavorful, the tortilla chips were nice and crispy, and the sauce in the bottom had a slight kick to it but with the mix of crema it helped balanced out perfectly. As for the cinnamon brioche french toast, that was one of the best French toast I've had in a while. Nice and crispy but still fluffy in the middle, with that nice cinnamon flavor, topped with whipped cream and berries. As for my order of the avocado Benedict. You can choose how you want your eggs cooked, and I had mine poached. Can def. Add other proteins to the dish with extra charge, but I wanted to keep it as is. The brioche bread was fluffy and buttery like too, it was great for absorbing some of that hollandaise sauce and yolk. My friends also ordered two bottles for mimosas. We had lychee and mango syrup/puree and it gave such a tropical and summer vibe. We also ended our meal with some desserts. We had the cream puff ube, cake choc brownie, and cheesecake caramel apple. My fav. Out of the three, was the cake choc brownie. I think I would be able to eat two of those if I wasn't full. Just loved how the chocolate mousse on the top melted in the mouth, but also that brownie isn't the typical brownie texture. It has a crisp to it. The mousse and crispiness just melts so deliciously together. I should've ordered another for takeout. Service was great despite it looking busy. Food didn't take too long to come out either. But we also did dine in at a decent time too. We had such a good time, especially for my friends who tried it out for the first time. I see they also have a dinner menu now. Maybe we'll come back to try that next time!
