My husband and I had dinner with a friend who raved about this place. Have to say, our selection of rolls and sushi were delicious. Quality, fresh sushi and enjoyed the variety of rolls on their menu. Shared some gyoza and the crème brûlée. Both were very good. See was great as well. Will definitely be back with our next visit to the island.

We ordered Sushi to go, but you can also eat there. We called in the order and it was ready right when they said it would be. I walked around to check out the place and saw where the Master makes the Sushi! Check out the picture of him! We got several different rolls as you can see. All had great flavor and looked great. Cheers!

Been coming here for over a decade and still one of my fave places I've ever been and continue to come as an ex local. Tuna Carpaccio is a MUST

Inside the restaurant - neat decor

What a gem! There was no wait, and the entrance is absolutely gorgeous! It's a long bamboo walkway with soft lights that sets the mood right away. The decor inside is just as impressive, with a calm, modern vibe. The service was excellent and everyone was so kind and attentive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My chicken and salmon teriyaki came in a bento-style box that made the whole meal feel extra special. They even made our daughter a custom cucumber-wrapped sushi roll, which was such a thoughtful touch. All the sushi dishes were excellent. Amazing ambiance, great service, and unforgettable food. We'll definitely be back!

Honestly not having the best experience. We were told a 15-20 minute wait and after about 30 we checked in- and they completely skipped us and put us in a section that was forgotten about (not just us but 3 other tables as well). It took a host to come over and see if our server has even been by. We've been here for an hour and a half, and after 45 minutes we still are just sitting with an empty appetizer plate- no food or drink refills in sight. Heard great things and the server is nice when she remembers we exist. You would think being a Friday night they'd have a full staff. I really hope the sushi is worth it *update: sushi was great just disappointed with the service.

The food was displayed wonderfully. It really made you want to eat it as soon as possible. Overall the sushi was good, the fish was fresh, the rice was soft yet firm, and the wasabi that is way paired with was excellent. The only issue with it was that the seaweed lacked the texture it usually needs to complete sushi. The noodles in the dishes were all nice and some of the broths were a bit rich but still delicious. The service was pretty good, the employees were very kind and liked to make your experience great. An employee cracked a joke and it gave us a good laugh. The owner was also very kind and had a very pleasant appeal. The interior was absolutely incredible and it really made you think of Japan. The decor absolutely something to marvel. Overall it was a good experience with only a few things that were a bit prominent and it is definitely worth a try

Nicely hidden away, this is a local spot that been around for 20+ years. The service was good and the sushi was decent, they forgot the spicy sauce so our spicy tuna roll was just a tuna roll. The soup base for the miso soup, hot Japanese noodle and the Tonkatsu was too salty. If it was not this would be a pretty good meal. Their tempura was pretty good, willing to give it another try next time.

Sushi was amazing, service was excellent. Some of the freshest fish we have had. Menu has options for those who don't love sushi as well.

The standard for great sushi on HHI. Fun to watch the chefs at work. Everyone else is in second place.

However, do not be off put by the variety...everything is PHENOMENAL. We started with the buffalo cauliflower and beet hummus- both delish and light appetizers. The cauliflower was some of the best I've ever had! For entrees, two at our table had the local catch of the day which was red fish with a mango salsa and whipped potatoes...SO GOOD. Another had the Hippie Loaf, which is a lentil loaf over risotto, and she was a fan. I had the special, a flat iron steak, that had a fajita vibe and was delish! We finished with one of the best desserts I've ever had...a bread pudding with a homemade cinnamon ice cream made by the chef...omg we wanted to lick the plate! The service was great! The woman owner has her art displayed around the restaurant which is very cool, and her husband is the chef! We really enjoyed speaking to the wife and seeing all of her art. Another cool thing is that they have someone playing acoustic guitar during dinner, which creates a beautiful ambiance, while still allowing an easy tableside conversation. You won't be disappointed with your experience at The Studio!

It's basically a chef's dream, but I wondered about the consistency and turnaround of such a varied menu. Luckily, I found them on Groupon, which turned out to be a fantastic deal...about $17 for a $40 voucher, so we saved quite a bit considering how much we would have otherwise spent. I highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially since they're located in an art studio setting and even have a live singer at night, which adds to the atmosphere. The seating was a bit quirky literally, I almost fell off my chair once (oops!), but the service was great and attentive throughout. For our meal, I ordered the diver scallops, and my partner had the ribeye. We also shared the vegan heart of romaine salad, which was fresh and flavorful. I have to say, the food was absolutely delicious, well-executed and full of flavor. The vibe was lively yet cozy, and we ended up in the second room with no live music =( still it was perfect for a romantic, quiet evening. If I lived nearby, this place would definitely be a monthly go-to for me. It's a unique spot with great food, a creative menu, and a wonderful atmosphere, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special night out!

We had to ask her for cutlery for the kids, whom they consider at their leisure to be a head count for their added 5-top automatic 20%gratuity ... $7 fries that wouldn't even feed one 3year old. Portions that our kids size, and I didn't even get to the two best parts.... Ketchup pad Thai that gives you heartburn, children sleeping with the jitters, and a household of tummy aches. So much for three entrees, an appetizer, and two side of fries for $124 for ketchup and heartburn. And to top it all off a hostess with the most attitude one has ever met. Which is bizarre because coming from someone who lived and spent time in Thailand, truly unbecoming from their culture... but I guess I was bound to meet my first rude Thai native here on Hilton head island in our very own Main Street plaza. Save your money, tummy, and sense and go to promise Thai by staples next to sea pines. Authentic, kind, delicious and kid friendly. There's life and love and amazing food that will make you appreciate the Thai cuisine the way it's mean to be! And just for everyone's sake 20% on $94.80 is $18.96 no $20.64... and last time I checked 0+0=0 not 2.... "It's only 2cents! Big deal" she says... maybe it's not. ‍ it's not how I do business personally...
