Light, fresh, and beautifully made, perfectly balanced sauces to accompany. 5/5 Main course: The pho (I tried both the beef and vegetable) was top-tier. I especially appreciated the variety of vegetables - they don't just toss in one or two. I personally would've swapped the zucchini for more broccoli, some carrots, mushrooms, and/or bok choy, but overall, it was chef's kiss. 5/5 The Mongolian beef had the perfect texture and flavor, though it was definitely too salty both times. I'd love to see the kitchen find that perfect balance of salty, spicy, sweet. 4/5 Now, let's talk service-- Yes, it was slow. They could really use some extra staff, especially during busy season (so tell your friends), but the owner was there, (working, mind you), and she is truly a gem. Coupled with the calming atmosphere and hands-on service from the owner, we felt like we were truly guests in a place she loved and was proud of, which made us so happy to be able to support her. Husband drove me into town for our anniversary and I really wanted to try this restaurant. We got there around 8:45pm and they close at 9:30pm. Despite us getting there fairly late, the lady owner treated us SOOO well. She made it absolutely clear she was not going to rush us and we can stay as long as needed. Hospitality is a 100/10. Pad thai and pad see ew were a 10/10. Delicious and tasted authentic (credibility: we're Asians who grew up surrounded by all Asian foods). I will say I was hesitant trying Asian food in a non-Asian area but this was quickly discarded once we had our food) I've not had chicken larb like this before so not quite sure what to expect however there was more fish sauce than my liking. What a pleasant surprise! Whoever thought we could find big city food quality in this little out-of-the-way shopping plaza! The owner/chef was so attentive, greeting us shortly after we arrived and checking on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was up to par! We ordered the whole fish red snapper as our main course, and it was not only delicious, but the presentation was delectably elegant! The bang bang shrimp and pho were perfect! It seems to me that Relish has had an upgrade! The tables are set with plates, flowers, place settings and bottles of water. The seating has been given a makeover and it no longer feels like a takeout restaurant. Menu has changed (all Thai) and I like the changes. The food is all fresh made to order and delicious so you need to be patient BUT the wait is worth it. Definitely get the Thai Ice Tea - yummy. New ownership at relish is top tier! They gave the place a little face lift & the menu is all Asian/thai. My friend and I had lunch here today and I can not say enough good things! Started with bang bang shrimp & chicken lettuce wraps- presentation was beautiful and both were excellent. For entrees my friend got the whole snapper- they actually take the meat off the fish for you and give you the whole fish wrapped around.. absolutely incredible. I got the Khao soi curry with tofu (chicken and filet options available) & was obsessed. Maybe one of the best things I've ever had! Absolutely can't wait to go back and try more. An eclectic menu offering a mix of Asian and brunch dishes. The dining area is small and the interior lacks much feng shut and service was incredibly slow. With that said, the food was delicious. Portions were large and perfectly spiced. The pear and arugula salad which was top with a sweet pecan glaze and cider vinaigrette. The Turkey club came was served upon a hearty grain bread which was loaded with thick cut roasted turkey, avocado, crisp bacon and lettuce and tomato. We rode our bikes here on a pretty Hilton Head evening. We had dumplings for an appetizer and I had pho for dinner. (Our server did forget the pho toppings at first, but made it right quickly when we asked.) My partner loved the General Tso's chicken. FYI they just serve beer and wine, no cocktails. The pad Thai was excellent with subtle flavors and a nice texture (it comes with a variety of protein options). The Yakima udon noodles were excellent. This was my favorite restaurant on the island. Now they have a new owner. The decor has improved but the food isn't as good. Service is still good. When I visited the new owner kept the old menu and I ordered one of my usuals. It just wasn't good. They use to have the best iced tea too and now it's just basic. I haven't gone back since. We made a reservation for nine at Relish on our vacation, they were very accommodating and kind on the phone. We have been coming to Hilton Head every summer for years and this was one of the best places we have been! We got the bang bang shrimp, spring rolls, and pork dumplings for appetizers and all were amazing, the shrimp was the best. I got the curry noodles as my dinner and it was one of the best meals I've ever had! I seriously am going to think about it until next year. No longer the scratch made southern inspired restaurant it was a month ago. Di Wang the executive chef sold out. The dumplings today were not even fresh, they were frozen from a bag, and they still charged $11 for 6 dumplings. The ginger soy sauce was also over sweet and most likely from a bottle. Di Wang will be missed for his fresh chinese food. RELISH ALSO no longer serves brunch/breakfast or lunch. and just the Oriental Chinese menu now. The website is supposed to be updated soon to reflect all this, but it hasn't been and honestly don't think we will be going back after today. with E-Tang on HHI and Chen Dynasty in Bluffton now being our only real options. (I also ordered Wonton soup to go, which is not Di Wangs wonton soup recipe anymore either it is steamed frozen wontons (as they were in a separate box) and now a soup full of some chinese radish and and veggies. and the wifes Sweet and Sore chicken was over breaded and also soggy at the same time. read more

They offer southern cuisine as well which I was a little skeptical about, but my doubts were soon put to rest. There were 8 of us so we had a pretty large order. We ran the gambit of Asian cuisine, General tso, udon, curry, dumplings, and spring rolls and got and order of fried green tomatoes to test out their southern cooking. All the food was excellent! The fried green tomatoes had a little too much sauce, but I could still get the flavor of the tomatoes. The only other downside was no leftovers! I ordered on the phone (you can order online a well) and scheduled it to be ready 1.5 hr later. The food was warm and I could tell it hadn't been sitting long. read more

I really like this place! Any time I'm craving ramen (the proper stuff, not the 25 cent grocery store ones) Relish is my go-to on the island. I've gotten the tonkotsu ramen a few times and I've really enjoyed it. Everything in it works really well together and the broth tastes so rich. I do wish they were a bit more generous with the portions, especially with the meat, because while it was tasty I've left still hungry every time. Both times I've been there I've eaten outside on the patio. They have plenty of outdoor seating in and out of the shade. I'm excited to go back and try some of their other dishes, maybe even their brunch items. I would definitely recommend this place! It's a great way to try something unique on the island. read more
