If you follow me, you already know...Asian cuisine has my heart! I always want it, and it's always gotta be good! Apps: Veggie Spring rolls & Summer rolls w shrimp. Get both. Absolute perfection. Light, fresh, and beautifully made, perfectly balanced sauces to accompany. 5/5 Main course: The pho (I tried both the beef and vegetable) was top-tier. I especially appreciated the variety of vegetables - they don't just toss in one or two. I personally would've swapped the zucchini for more broccoli, some carrots, mushrooms, and/or bok choy, but overall, it was chef's kiss. 5/5 The Mongolian beef had the perfect texture and flavor, though it was definitely too salty both times. I'd love to see the kitchen find that perfect balance of salty, spicy, sweet. 4/5 Now, let's talk service-- Yes, it was slow. They could really use some extra staff, especially during busy season (so tell your friends), but the owner was there, (working, mind you), and she is truly a gem. Her energy alone made the wait more bearable. The space is beautiful inside & out, and on breezy days, you'll love the outdoor patio & lawn as much as I did. 5/5

Drunken Noodles with chicken -- gorgeous and delicious!

Absolutely the best Thai food I've ever had. Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, and Tom Kha were outstanding! Coupled with the calming atmosphere and hands-on service from the owner, we felt like we were truly guests in a place she loved and was proud of, which made us so happy to be able to support her. As we ate, we started to brainstorm other people we could bring with us for our next visit! We will be back again and again!

Pad Thai with beef (no peanuts)

Husband drove me into town for our anniversary and I really wanted to try this restaurant. We got there around 8:45pm and they close at 9:30pm. Despite us getting there fairly late, the lady owner treated us SOOO well. She made it absolutely clear she was not going to rush us and we can stay as long as needed. Hospitality is a 100/10. Pad thai and pad see ew were a 10/10. Delicious and tasted authentic (credibility: we're Asians who grew up surrounded by all Asian foods). I will say I was hesitant trying Asian food in a non-Asian area but this was quickly discarded once we had our food) I've not had chicken larb like this before so not quite sure what to expect however there was more fish sauce than my liking. I'd get it again, but request less next time. 9/10 Overall, if I find myself back here, I'm coming here again!

What a pleasant surprise! Whoever thought we could find big city food quality in this little out-of-the-way shopping plaza! The owner/chef was so attentive, greeting us shortly after we arrived and checking on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was up to par! We ordered the whole fish red snapper as our main course, and it was not only delicious, but the presentation was delectably elegant! The bang bang shrimp and pho were perfect! Our Thai iced tea was the most delicious and beautiful drink ever! Our server was very attentive and the ambience was cozy, beautiful and delightfully appointed! On a scale of 1 to 5, Relish is a 6!!!!

    Table setting

It seems to me that Relish has had an upgrade! The tables are set with plates, flowers, place settings and bottles of water. The seating has been given a makeover and it no longer feels like a takeout restaurant. Menu has changed (all Thai) and I like the changes. The food is all fresh made to order and delicious so you need to be patient BUT the wait is worth it. Definitely get the Thai Ice Tea - yummy. One of my kid's favorite restaurants that we come to year after year.

    General Tso

Amazing gem!!! New owner Na is unbelievable. She makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in. I randomly ordered the general tso and it was the best I had in my life.

Chicken lettuce wraps & bang bang shrimp

New ownership at relish is top tier! They gave the place a little face lift & the menu is all Asian/thai. My friend and I had lunch here today and I can not say enough good things! Started with bang bang shrimp & chicken lettuce wraps- presentation was beautiful and both were excellent. For entrees my friend got the whole snapper- they actually take the meat off the fish for you and give you the whole fish wrapped around.. absolutely incredible. I got the Khao soi curry with tofu (chicken and filet options available) & was obsessed. Maybe one of the best things I've ever had! Absolutely can't wait to go back and try more. Side note: don't skip the Thai tea either! Owner was a complete gem and took great care of us (also had plenty of leftovers for later)

    Arugula and pear salad

An eclectic menu offering a mix of Asian and brunch dishes. The dining area is small and the interior lacks much feng shut and service was incredibly slow. With that said, the food was delicious. Portions were large and perfectly spiced. The pear and arugula salad which was top with a sweet pecan glaze and cider vinaigrette. The Turkey club came was served upon a hearty grain bread which was loaded with thick cut roasted turkey, avocado, crisp bacon and lettuce and tomato. Cuban was perfectly smooshed between a French baguettes. Despite the poor service I would definitely return.

Great dinner for all 4 of us. Service impeccable. Clean, well decorated space that is small and intimate. The menu is varied and fresh. Loved it. Went with friends for first time but will be back. On weekend get there early as it did fill up.

Hi Everyone, Ya,…read moreknow, maybe you don't feel like bagging your lunch today, or making diner tonight, but you've got to eat! What ever will you do? What type of food do you want to eat, now or later? Questions, questions, those nagging questions. Well we here, in the peanut gallery, may have a solution for you today. If you enjoy eating Sushi (Japanese cuisine, in which raw or cooked fish can be inserted into or be placed a top a rice roll with other ingredients). Now I thought that Sushi was ONLY raw fish (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), and Sushmi which I thought was actually only cooked fish inserted in, or a top a rice roll, with other ingredients, such as seaweed, cream cheese, imitation crab (I.e. pressed white fish) etc... But, bust my buttons, Sushmi is actually Hindu female name, not a name for Asian cusine, which means welcoming or pleasant, (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), but I digress, along with some other Chinese classics then we can highly recommend you visit AKOMEYA right here in Bluffton, SC. Why? Because my friends, their food entrees are actually very savory and delicious treats. Their ambiance is inviting, neat, and clean. Their Servers are friendly, personable, and helpful. Their prices are affordable, that's right, as in, most of us can actually afford to pay for them. For instance, they offer four lunch (ONLY) Chinese meals that are relatively healthy as prepared with a delicate balanced of ingredients that are tastebuds delight. And yes, Jethro, them there "viddles" will fill your belly and keep you a comin back for more helpins! But for how much? $10.00 per entree. Now that them their is an affordable price for lunch, even for Jethro da Bodeen. Their diner menu offers many delightful and tasty tantalizing entrees as well which we have also have enjoyed multiple times. So if you have a hankerin for some good viddles like our man Jethro, it's time to get on down to AKOMEYA and git sum. BTW, Akomeya is also a specialty rice shop with locations at many major train stations in Tokyo. Although rice is their main focus, they also offer an impressive selection of kitchen goods, condiments, and snacks--making it a must-visit for cooking enthusiasts or anyone in search of thoughtful, Japan-made gifts (which I know you knew, but I didn't ). Enjoy!

We walked in and the was ONE table of five in the whole place. Should have been our first sign…read more The service was the WORST I've ever had! The server asked once if we needed drinks. Never asked again. Then I asked for a glass of water and she didn't say a word. Just turned around and got it. Brought it back and just sat it down and walked away. We ordered two sushi rolls and she didn't bring utensils to eat it with. I had to find them for us. Then my wife wanted a little bowl for soy sauce. I had to go find it because our server was no where to be found. She had an attitude about anything we asked for. I'm not joking when I say it was the worst service I've ever had. Needless to say the tip wasn't what it should have been or could have been. Now the food? Awesome! I had the hot sand sour soup (one of the best I've ever had), we had two different sushi rolls. One was the Akomeyea roll and the other was some tuna roll I didn't eat. The chicken low mien was very good and plenty of it. I gave it 3 stars because the food was very good. If we ever decide to get dinner here again it would definitely be to go. No way would I eat in the restaurant again with service like that and as empty as the place was. I get why it was like that if all the service is like that.
