Jacos Bbq is truly some great barbecue!!! Lests just start with the meat! It is quality seasoned tender meat. It has a perfect savory crust with a nice rosy interior. Sides are great! If you like or use to SWEET KOOL-Aid you definitely need to try it. They did not skimp on the sugar. Honestly they do not skimp on anything! Everything is good proportions and reasonably priced. Next time I plan to get the loaded baked potato! It looks so filling and delicious. The owner is absolutely amazing! He seems like an honest friendly person. The restaurant is currently located in a gas station. I have not been yet. At the time I visited them, their food trailer was located at Houston Grub Park.

The food is delicious. The customer service was impeccable. The delivery was quick. I am so happy I ran across this bbq restaurant on DoorDash. I will definitely be ordering again.

Hidden gem! Don't let the gas station fool you. Jaco's bbq hits every time. Daily specials, food is always fresh! REAL baked potatoes that are huge fully cooked and come with cheese, plenty of butter and meat piled high. The in-house sausage is juicy with a snap to it. Brisket is full of flavor and you can order it with or without the fatty bits. In my opinion that's where the flavor is, it melts and adds a decadence to the meat. So much love goes into this establishment's food. Unfortunately, I forget snap a picture prior to eating it. Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Perfectly smoked chicken tender, but throughly cooked. Beef sausage was juice and well spiced. Customer service was top tier Don't let the gas station fool you lol

    Loaded Fries with 2 Meat

Six days ago, my very first time ordering from them, food was awesome. The baked potato was big and stuffed with three meats. Everything was perfect, but this evening, I ordered fries with two meats, received one meat, and the fries were super small, not homemade like Remos BBQ! 47$ wasn't worth this at all! This is entirely wrong! I ordered 2 meat and charged but only one meat on my. Unacceptable when I paid nearly $50. A waste of money, I ordered sausage and rib, but received only ribs on my fries. Fries were also burnt under the meat. Didn't follow simple instructions neither.

We LOVE Jacos BBQ! My husband and I found Jacos after moving to the area last summer and it has become a staple in our household. The first time he went to Jacos, my husband was greeted warmly by the owner and staff and offered samples of several items to try. They are friendly and passionate about their food - what more could you ask for? I recently threw a large party for my husband's 30th and decided to have Jacos cater so that we could share one of our favorite local places with friends. They were easy to work with, friendly, and accommodating. When we went to pick up the order, they helped load everything into the car and helped line the trunk to help prevent a mess from potential leaking, and they even checked in the next day to make sure everything had gone well. The food was excellent - all of our guests raved about the barbecue, and the generous portion sizes meant that everyone was able to go back for seconds and take some of their favorites home. We ordered beef links, chicken, ribs, three meat beans, green beans, mac and cheese, and banana pudding for this event, but have tried most of their offerings over the last few months and everything is phenomenal. We are especially big fans of the beef link, mac and cheese, and banana pudding. Seriously good food. We love Jacos and highly recommend them for both your every day BBQ cravings and catering events. We are most definitely loyal customers and cannot wait to introduce more of our friends to this wonderful, local place!

I kept seeing this place on a FB group, so I took that as a sign to give it try on Saturday. OMG the brisket and ribs were both tender, moist, and flavorful!! You know it's good when bbq sauce messes up the flavor. Who needs sauce when the flavor holds on its own?!?! The dirty rice was savory. I wasn't a fan of the potato salad, but that's only bcz of personal preference in liking mine more like deviled eggs. Overall, it's pretty darn good enough to try again today (Monday) for lunch. But this time I'm guna try the chicken and sausage, mac'n chz and green beans.

We just tried Jacos BBQ at 14151 Hiram Clark tonight, and man, was it delicious! I had their homemade sausage and a side of green beans, while my husband had chopped brisket and baked beans. I was very impressed, which is saying a lot, since I've done my share of judging bbq for the HLSR! We love family owned restaurants and we'll be back!

Clearly the glass had not been properly cleaned. I brought it to the bartender's attention and while she offered to remake the drink, there was no apology beyond that, no refund offer, and honestly no sense of urgency or concern about serving a dirty glass. By that point, I was completely put off and declined the replacement. I understand mistakes happen, but cleanliness at a bar should be the bare minimum, especially when it comes to drinkware. Unfortunately, this experience ruined the visit for me and I won't be returning.

So when I decided to give Angelo Z's a try, I came in hopeful but ready to judge with the precision of a seasoned shrimp connoisseur. First, I'll give credit where it's due: the place is designed beautifully. Clean, inviting, well thought-out décor. The staff? Top-notch. Friendly smiles, fast service -- the kind of welcome that makes you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile. But then my shrimp po'boy arrived. And that's where things took a turn. The bread was toasted -- yes, toasted -- which, for a Louisiana po'boy, is already a red flag. To make matters worse, it wasn't even the traditional French bread that's light, airy inside, and has that delicate crackle on the crust. Instead, it was a dense, over-toasted loaf that crunched like I was chewing on a roofing shingle. Then came the real deal-breaker: I bit in and realized the shrimp hadn't been deveined. At all. And for anyone who knows seafood, that black line running down the back isn't some "seasoning" -- it's grit and waste. One glance at that and my appetite clocked out. I understand I'm not in Louisiana anymore, and I'm all for creative spins on classics, but there's a line between "putting your own twist" on something and missing the fundamentals altogether. Unfortunately, this missed the mark in a way I couldn't overlook. Beautiful space. Wonderful people. But for me? A shrimp po'boy that isn't deveined, on the wrong bread, and toasted into oblivion isn't a po'boy worth coming back for.
