I am so glad I found this place. It is now a regular when I am in town. Took my Dad and Granddaughter. We all got something different and everything was absolutely delicious. . The Tonkotsu is traditional, silky and some of the best I have had, even compared to the top-rated and well known locations in LA and NY. The Pork Belly Bao Buns were an unexpected too notch choice. We enjoyed the Jerk Chicken Ramen for a traditional look and spin on the flavor that kind of blew my socks off. Really good and I recommend. We were a bit early before the Oxtail was done but next time I will be getting an oxtail special Lastly I have to mention the atmosphere. Arrived at the strip mall location not sure what to expect. We were greeted as soon as we entered and give the option to choose seating. The inside area offers high top tables and counter seating in the front and regular tables towards the back. There is also an outdoor seating area covered by a canopy. We pulled up our mobile menus and it was decision time. While browsing we received large cups of ice water and a carafe to keep our glasses full. This was perfect for our thirsty table. We started with the Bao and oh it was so good. Between the pork and coconut shrimp I'd have to say the shrimp was my favorite. For our main course we each had large bowls of steamy ramen. My BBQ chicken bowl was so full of flavor and more than enough. I only wish there a few more traditional veggi and mushroom options to add in. Our experience overall was great. I was able to meet the owner and his wife, they are very kind hardworking people. The owner is super creative with his menu and has made some extremely original ramen recipes. I had the Boneyard Ramen, and boy was it packed with flavor. There was a plentiful amount of rib tips and toppings. The broth is different than your traditional Japanese pork broth, it has a unique sweet and savory flavor that delivers an explosion of flavor with each bite. The same can be said about the Bao Buns. The buns had large slices of pork belly and the sauces within each bun complimented each slice very well. It is a smaller place, where everyone is made to feel comfortable. I came solo, and they were able to clear a spot for me at their counter. Every single employee in the place made sure to say hi to me, which is something I always appreciate. Their food is a fusion between Caribbean and Japanese ramen, if that is an accurate description. Chef Wayne is highly interested in making sure you have a great experience. He is very attentive and keeps a positive attitude. He is highly personable and likes to speak with his guests. The food is made-to-order and tastes that way. I had the jerk chicken ramen and there is most definitely noticeable jerk flavor but it mixes well with the umami ramen flavors and is appropriately subtle and not in your face. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, though I did go when it first opened for the day. My only gripe is that after tax and 20% tip, my total was $40 for a single person (Thai chili wings and jerk chicken ramen). There are places in manhattan that are similarly great that cost less. read more

I have a soft spot for new businesses and tend to rate them on a bit of a curve. I pass Vibe N Slurp daily and I have been wanting to try them for a while. Yesterday was the day. As my wife and I were out running some errands, we decided to stop and look at the menu for Vibe N Slurp, it was about 5:45 on a Thursday. Upon looking at the menu we realized prices were a bit steep. This was not a game changer although we were expecting some really good food and large portions for the prices. We called to place our order only to be told to order off the website. As we looked at website to place our order many items were sold out. Ribs & brisket are two that I can recall as we had planned to order both. We ordered the pork belly bao buns for an app, the spicy rib ramen and a vegetable ramen, this came out to about $55. After ordering, a notification came up saying the food would be ready 6:17. We arrived at the parking lot 6:12 and called to let them know we arrived as requested. The phone was answered by the chef / owner, this guy could not have been nicer. He said he was bagging our food and would be out shortly. He didn't come out until almost 6:30. We drove home and unbagged the food with excitement What beautiful presentations for take out. I couldn't help but to start tasting the food before I sat. Flavorful and tasty are understatements. The FK'n pork belly buns were AMAZING!!! Literally melting in our mouths. I wish there were 4 rather than 3 to an order so we could have 2 each. Instead I had to be a gentleman and give my wife the extra one grrrrr. Happy he soups were great and tasty. I have no complaints and def look fwd to getting back there. read more

I've never given a rating this low ever. I was fooled by the pictures available. To start it was a Saturday. The restaurant was temporarily closed due to power outages the day before. We call in periodically to check if they were opened and luckily they were. Upon arrival it was hot and no A/C. Our waiter was sweating profusely and always wiping his forehead with his sleeves. We were a party of 4 and he seemed to be flustered. He somehow forgot what I wanted for my main course and he was on the phone putting in our order. Seemed like he had difficulty putting in the order. During the wait, the waiter had a customer outside. He had the door left opened and there was a DJ mixing from next door. It was loud and difficult to talk to each other. Minutes later the door was closed then open again. We shared fried squid appetizer. Way too much salt and overcooked. Was so tough and chewy. So the other 3 received their food and I'm waiting. As I wait, I tasted their ramen, the broth was weak but it just tasted like soy sauce soup. Usually when you make broth, it takes hours and it's very rich in flavor. The other 2 had the specials, coconut shrimp. That was salty like the squid. They said the rice was hard like left out for awhile. Waiter asked how the food was and I'm like do you not see I have no plate in front of me? So he apologizes that they're short handed. You see other reviews stating only 2 people working. So my order was the braised pork in rice bowl. It looked like an order of rice with a side of pork. I didn't take a pic and I should have so you would see the small slices of pork I was served. Meat was dry and salty. The corn was cold and they give you a generous amount of pickled ginger. And my rice was dried out too. Makes me think that the reason they were dry because the were not opened due to power outage. Any person where rice is the main staple of their culture would be offended to receive dry rice lol. I'm sorry but this place didn't meet our expectations. Definitely a hit or miss based on the reviews. I don't see the fusion with these dishes and the name Vibe and Slurp, I don't get it. Would I give it a second chance? I just enjoyed my third visit to this wonderful restaurant. I've been extremely happy each time with the food and service. The bai buns are perfectl with great texture and well thought out fillings. The ramen is delicious and beautifully presented with fresh topping including an edible orchid. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to return again! Tonight I took my family for dinner my daughter has been wanting to go here for months... I'm sorry that I waited so long. We tried the chicken dumplings, we had pork boa and chicken boa, we had edamame .We each got a ramen bowl. While everyone loved theirs, I personally think the curry chicken was the best one. Chef Wayne was friendly and helpful when it came time for my kids to order he helped make it super easy for them. Our waitress was kind and patient and even helped steer us a little bit by telling us what she likes to eat. Stopped in with a friend after this had been on our wish list of places to try for a few months. I ordered ramen, he had a rice bowl and we shared the pork buns. We were given only 3 high top tables to choose from to sit at even though their were only 2 other couples in the entire restaurant (there are about 12 tables and a bar counter with stools). They were very small and I didn't have a good place for my bag & jacket (it was a pricey designer bag, sorry but I'm just not ok with putting it on the floor). A few hooks under the table would have gone a long way. With each of us having a drink, a glass of water, napkins, silverware and the bottles of condiments.. there was really no place for 3 plates of food. We both had items substituted in our meals which I didn't find ideal but I ate it anyway. This place is BYOB. The menus had several changes and the prices were confusing. It did take quite awhile for our food to come and service was sluggish over all. While we were there they had several problems with online orders, DoorDash pickup drivers and customers on the phone... things missing, unmentioned substitutions, having to refund people... it seemed like a big stressful mess for everyone involved. It was almost giving ME anxiety! The food was good but not great. The quality of the interior and decor was actually above what I expected for a place in a strip mall though. Their website is currently down, so finding definitive, accurate information is a bit tricky. Oh Vibe and Slurp, where do I start. I visited here with such high hopes and excitement and the song I left with in my head was, Build me up Buttercup by The Foundations. For the younger generations, the song says, 'Why do you build me up just TO LET ME DOWN. But if you listen to the song VnS IS Buttercup. They were A TOTAL LET DOWN. So upon walking in, you don't know whether you should seat yourself or wait to be seated because there is no acknowledgement of any kind for a while. Eventually I was waved to go seat myself. With every intention of reviewing the place, I took meticulous notes. The place opened at 2:30. I got there at 2:55. By this time there were only 6 customers including myself. The waitress came to me and gave me the run down on a plethora of items that were not available on the menu. She said, " Well we do have it but it hasn't been prepped for the day because our shipment just came in... ANYONE IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS KNOWS DELIVERIES AND PREPPING ARE DONE HOURS BEFORE OPENING TIME. The waitress got my order wrong even after she said it back it to me. She had no pen and paper. Just a bad memory. By the time I got my WRONG appetizer, (1 oxtail Boa Bun. I ordered the 3pcs oxtail Boa Bun) twenty minutes had already went by. Its a Ramen eating restaurant and the waitress gave me a fork and ladle. She didn't even ask me if I wanted chopsticks. Also, I hate putting my lips to cups so I asked for a straw. Not only were there a lot of unavailable items on the menu but apparently straws weren't available either. By the time I got my Ramen entree it was precisely 3:52. Again, there were only 6 customers including myself. And remember my arrival time? Yep, 2:55 . When it was time to pay I noticed the pricing on the menus differed from what the waitress rang up in the computer. My trip to VnS was annoying, frustrating, confusing and wore on my patience. Believe it or not the Ramen dish ( Curry chicken) was... flavorful. I actually found it hard to enjoy my experience and the Ramen that was set before me because of the impression that was given. The place however was very tidy. I did not use their restroom so I will not comment on that. Restaurants higher kids because they can pay them minimum wage. Perhaps try hiring someone who actually has passion, motivation, organizational skills and a promising future in the food and restaurant business. After reading other reviews about this place, ordering takeout is worse than going to the actual restaurant. I would not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.
