I saw it. I stopped. I turned around. I will never regret this decision. I was given a piece of peach cobbler by a wonderfully sweet woman (probably an owner) so this place welcoming out of towners is doing an amazing job. The burger was BOMB!!! That means so delicious there was an explosion of great flavors in my mouth. Don't miss this place!! If you do, there are plenty of places to turn around. Lots of cool memorabilia. This diner is gem!!! The walls have pictures of veterans all over them...how could you not want to eat at a place so patriotic?! The food was AMAZING! The fried squash side was to die for. I will definitely come back here again when I visit my cousin. The owner and workers are also so hospitable and will provide you company when dinning alone. I couldn't recommend this place more! The service and food were okay. The value was poor. I ordered their B.E.L.T. ( bacon, egg, lettuce & tomato) with fries and a cup of coffee; $8.75. The sandwich was small, the fries were few (less than a small fast food order) and the coffee was stale. They got my order wrong and once corrected, I never saw anyone again. read more

Home cookin' at it's best! My family and I always have to make a stop here on our way home from Austin to Dallas. It's a cute family owned business with a patriotic and welcoming atmosphere. Pictures of veterans past and present line the walls and always make for an entertaining and enjoyable meal. The owners Sue and Bill are always very friendly to us and always make an effort to say hi to all of their customers. My personal favorites are the chicken fried steak, hamburger steak, and the onion rings of course! I haven't had one thing from the menu that I didn't like, which only makes the choice more difficult. If you still have room left at the end of the meal, I definitely recommend any of their desserts. There's usually something different daily that's homemade. The banana pudding is excellent! read more

The food was EXCELLENT (chicken fried steak, best!), the atmosphere was small town feel, the staff was SUPERB, the desserts were BEST (peach cobbler!). hwy 77 order a fish plate on saturday. fish was ok, however hush puppies seem to be leftover from friday taste like they were just thrown back in the deep dyer taste spoiled. cole slaw was incredibly dry did not taste good at all .i call back and spoke to the manager whom replied all of our sides r cook fresh everyday, however i know the taste of day old food..so i suggest if u r going to order a fish plate ..pls order on friday. read more
