Came here for a soccer ball and received no customer service whatsoever. As the only customer in the store, we didn't receive a greeting and were never asked if we had a question. The soccer balls had no signage or pricing, and when checking out, the salesperson refused to provide us a receipt without an email address. This felt disingenuous as there should have been an option for a printed receipt. Two stars because he offered to process a return for the ball, but by then my son had his heart set on the particular ball. I want to support small businesses but won't be returning to this particular store. Warning, parking is very cramped with little room to maneuver in the crowded lot. read more

I've been hearing all the commercials for the new soccer locker and that they have everything, not just soccer. My son needed baseball gear, so I went to Soccer Locker. They have a little pile of baseball cleats. No other equipment. It is 90% soccer and they dabble in other sports. The guy was super helpful, but couldn't provide me with all the baseball equipment I needed. Parking is super tight and there's only a couple stalls. It is a pain to get in and out and of the very tiny lot. They do offer military discount here. If you need soccer equipment this place has a bunch, but any other sports...go somewhere else. read more

They moved to a new location, now by the same lot as Ono Seafood. Our daughter just started soccer, so we came here for her cleats. They have a variety of options for kids and adults. We also come here for our son's football cleats and he loves the range of styles they have to offer. They also carry balls, socks, and some clothing wear. It's a nice store that straightforward for a quick buy. The guys was nice too, only thing was we found out later that the socks were in sale, something like 3 for $15. Being at Soccer Locker the other week brought me back to when I was a kid. It was our place to go to buy our soccer stuff. It's in a different location from when I used to go. It's now located next to the Running Room. They have everything soccer in there. The owner says they will be opening up a different place down the road that's bigger and will have equipment from all different sports soon. My daughter is starting on first "official" soccer team so she needed to buy some cleats, socks, and shin guards. The owner was super helpful from the moment we walked in. He knew exactly what we needed. They had the cleats in my daughters favorite color, pink! Then they got us some shin guards and some pink socks. She tried them on and they were perfect. She loved the socks so much she wore it all the way home. Great customer service here and I love the more personalized service. Beats those big box stores any day. My experience here was very good. The owner and I had a conversation about soccer and she was very nice. My daughter needed a new sweet spot for her shoes and she found the right one that she liked. My son also needed to use the restroom and the owner let him use it so he didn't have a accident. The store has a pretty extensive selection of soccer gear for all ages. It's great for an emergency stop for soccer gear. Prices were little high but probably necessary as the rent in Hawaii is probably outrageous. CUSTOM HEAT TRANSFERS for DRY-FIT JERSEYS LOCATION: They are still in Kapahulu but they moved (in 2012) a few blocks mauka from where they were before. You can find them in the same parking lot as Running Room, across from Safeway. Plenty of parking! I needed to get 14 baseball jerseys made quickly. MIchael W sent me here since they use Soccer Locker for their kickball shirts (thanks Mike!). I called a bunch of places and Soccer Locker was the easiest to deal with, the quickest, and most cost effective. Other places wanted to charge for all kinds of extra stuff like graphic design, multi color, screen set etc. This place sells a lot of soccer stuff but you can get ANY SPORT jersey made here...or custom shirts for reunions, birthdays, school field trips, big events... HERE'S WHAT I LIKED: 1. They forward their phone after hours to the owners cell phone, so I never got an answering machine! I always got connected to someone even after the store was closed. 2. They let you bring your own blank shirts in. (Other places make you buy the shirts from them) 3. They will rush your order for a nominal fee. (Other places will take over a week!) 4. I got the front silk screened with the team name (they already had the logo in stock, no artwork necessary). 5. I got heat transfers with the player name and number on the back of the shirt. (This is important, since all of our boys look alike on the field!) 6. I needed to pick up the finished shirts before our game on Saturday at 9:30 but noticed that the store didn't open until 10. Not a problem!!! He met me at the store at 8:30am. Customer service is top notch here. 7. The shirts turned out great and one of the boys had his first grand slam in the game and my son got his first home run (after SEVEN seasons). Must be the lucky jerseys. read more

Went to at least 3 stores and called even more to see if they had wrestling shoes. I had no idea it was gonna be this difficult. I finally found Soccer Locker, called them on MLK holiday, not really expecting they'd be open, but someone answered. I asked if they had wrestling shoes, he said yes and before making the drive I asked if they had a certain size and he put me on a brief hold to check and said they had a range of sizes. Got there and he directed us to the boxes he had pulled in the size range we requested and pointed out everything we might need then left us to it. He didn't hover so we had space and time to try on and decide on a fit and color, then he came back around after we tried on several pairs and asked if we needed anything else and advised we walk or run around the store to test it out. I loved that this store had so much for what looked like a small space. I even found softball gloves I normally would've had to get online. I honestly did not even know this place existed. It's a small little hole in the wall type of store located on the left of Kapahulu avenue. The parking can be a little crowded and there is parking in the back. (Be careful though, it's a tight fit) The store carries soccer shoes for all ages. Also soccer balls, cones and other equipment. They were even more understanding having all of our 7 children touching everything in sight. She enjoyed the excitement haha. I appreciate that it caters to my kids who play AYSO 118. They even had soccer themed scrunchies and sleeve holders. Downfall is that It is so far my home in aiea. I wish it were a little closer and a little bigger with something to draw passer-by's attention from the main road. I will be back for our different colored soccer socks so that the boys and girls can tell which is theirs and also for the soccer ball kick nets. I'm so glad this place is still around! With just a week before soccer season, I couldn't find a pair of shin guards I had (of course!) and I was in a bind. Knowing it was too late to order online, I sought out to find a sports shop- only to realize they are few still around. I'm so happy this shop opened pretty early and have a bunch of different sizes available! There's ample parking in the lot as well. The owner of the shop was friendly and helpful- He helped me find what I needed quickly and it fit my daughter perfectly! Everything you need for soccer is at this one-stop-shop. It's right behind Running Room and right next to Go Bananas. If you're driving too fast or blink you will miss it so keep them eyes peeled. They (1 man store, probably the owner) has superb customer service. He helped me son with shoe fitting and putting it on. Let him run around to make sure he liked it. Any questions I had he answered. Just an all around knowledgeable and friendly guy. Prices were also cheap compared to shoe stores. It was a little stuffy in there (good thing we went in the morning) cuz idk if there's ac for the afternoon when it could get hotter. Right outside the door smelt like human piss and I noticed there was a homeless guy sleeping on the sidewalk right outside until they opened. At Soccer Locker, I purchased Adidas X 17.3 FG soccer cleats for my son. They were priced at $176.99 but with 10% off, I paid $159.29 plus tax. That was $100 more than I should have paid. Little did I know these cleats cost as low as $50 plus shipping on the Internet. When I got home, I thought to look the price on the Internet. If you buy shoes from Soccer Locker, you might want to compare prices before you spend a lot. I do respect and appreciate Robert, the store owner. I understand he needs to make a profit and I want to support his business but I feel that my trust was betrayed. Is it because Sports Authority is no longer here that Robert is charging exorbitant prices for certain merchandise? His customers may not think to look elsewhere to compare prices. Please see 2 pics I posted. The cleats had a black sleek appearance which resembled more expensive shoes. I thought they were pricey but I made the purchase on impulse. Robert was someone we had trusted: Shop owner, soccer aficionado and someone who upholds the community. This past Saturday afternoon, the shop had a few customers. Robert spread his time between the customers but made sure to assist us personally. He put his arm around my son's shoulder and regaled us with soccer stories. That Saturday, my son had encountered rough opponents on the field. Robert explained that soccer was a game where players push as much as they could within the rules. It's kinda pricey but with the limited selection on the island and with Sports Authority closing down, this is now your go to for soccer cleats and gear. I didn't realize how much stuff you would need for a toddler's soccer team but apparently it's a lot. We didn't get the shoes from here because Cam really wanted Nike's. I told him how I heard of him and he began to yell at me saying why would he help me if I went to S.A. first. He said he only helps loyal customers and that I had a lot of nerve to call. But, I come here to get my T-shirts screened all the time for various sports clubs, and etc. I shopped around and they have one of the best prices for screening, very easy to talk to, and upfront no BS service! If he (the owner) can do it, he'll do it. If he can't do it, he'll let you know upfront. My only complaint about this place was - Our kickball team had a pink theme going. My sister and I came here looking for World Cup jerseys. They were unfortunately out of stock in the US team jerseys, but they did have other countries as well as jerseys from MLS and English Premiere League. I was pretty impressed by the selection in both kid and adult sizes. However, I was very unimpressed with the service here. The cashier who "helped" us was very rude and seemed like he just wanted us to leave. When we said we were "just looking for now," he responded with a very disgusted "oh." He answered our questions with the least amount of words possible, and I did not feel comfortable talking to him at all, so we left without buying anything. Went here for the first this past Saturday, since I had the time, and brought along my 6 year old that plays soccer. They share the parking lot with the runners room (I think that's the name and not a big lot) and the soccer locker is a bit small but the selection of shoes and accessories were more than I expected, and there's only one person that can help you, well at least that I know of when I went in. The man that helped me, idk if he's the owner, was very nice, informative, and honest. I told him about the condition my son has, Isolated Hemihypertrophy, (which means one side of the body is bigger than the other, and unfortunately for my son it's more so his right leg down to his feet) and that I needed to buy 2 pairs but different sizes. I asked him what was the most comfortable and best brand for kids. He was completely honest and showed me a couple that were very affordable and matches the prices on Amazon and other websites that sold the brand. They have more affordable items than Extreme Soccer. This is my new go to place for all of my son's soccer needs, it was difficult to find a place for sporting goods since sports authority closed but this place is waaay better for us soccer moms and our soccer kids! Located in Kapahulu this small ship had everything we needed for this year's soccer, from shoes to shin guards even needles to pump up the soccer balls. Right when we walked into the store, we were IMMEDIATELY helped. The sales associate helped us with everything and was also very patient and kind. We really only needed new shoes but ended up leaving with a whole lot of other things too. Their shoe collection was pretty impressive and they had affordable prices. One thing I really appreciated was the sales associate seemed like she herself played soccer so whatever questions I had she was able to answer them without hesitation.
