I sent a project request to them. While 6-7 other companies responded as well I had them come over due to the still positive reviews. Arrived on the day I wanted and at the time I was available. LUIS was my tech and boy did I hit the jackpot with him. He showed me that the springs were indeed failing. I went with the heavy duty springs with like I forgot how many cycles more than regular springs. He installed them quick. He tightened the chain good and lubed everything up. Door doesn't make horrible noises anymore. Really smooth with those HD springs on. Thank you Open Sesame for being a great service provider in Vegas.

Low lights included Mike stapling his business card to wall inside garage when I wasn't looking! I told him that wasn't cool and he responded he did it because previous customers said his stickers were too hard to remove! Seriously!?! Like what the actual freak? Additional things that were very disappointing included; 1) Failure to to let me know new opener was incompatible with existing keypad. Of course AFTER it was installed and they didn't have newer keypad and couldn't get for 2 weeks! They should've known and informed me that the new motor wouldn't work with existing keypad before installation. Damage to property: Using a staple gun to attach business card to our recently painted wall is unacceptable property damage. That alone is enough to never let this clown near my property ever again! Poor quality installation: I found compatible keypad on Amazon, that Mike offered to install, but he mounted it backwards and used the wrong screws, was carelessness and showed a lack of attention to detail and preparation. Additionally the camera on motor was not set-up correctly and their excuse was it was new system they weren't familiar with. Then why didn't you learn about BEFORE installing at my home. Lack of preparation: their excuse about the motor being "new" doesn't take away their responsibility to learn the product's basic functionalities (like keypad compatibility and camera) before selling and installing. I've spent hours researching and ordering the necessary key pad and correctly installing the mount myself I would NOT have agreed to a new garage door opener that requires a key pad that needs to be charged every few months or an additional adapter. tl/dr lack of preparation, unfamiliar with product they installed, poor quality installation, & no respect for my home. Summary, would definitely not use again.

The work included two springs, bearing plates, and bearings, and the total was nearly $450. Just over three years later, after only a few thousand cycles at most, the door is wildly out of balance again. With the opener disconnected, I used an equipment scale and measured approximately 35 pounds of lifting force at the bottom of travel and 21 pounds at the halfway point. The door is now as badly balanced as it was before the repair, possibly worse. I knew at the time that nearly $450 was not a bargain, but I was already in the middle of epoxying my garage and wanted the job completed. I would have let the experience go had the repair held up. Instead, I am now dealing with the same problem again after what I consider a very short service life for replacement springs. What finally set me off and sent me to Yelp was my girlfriend's abused garage door. She uses it far more often than I use mine, has never had the springs serviced, and yet it is perfectly balanced. After finding my receipt, I also saw that the warranty was only one year on both parts and labor. In hindsight, I should have treated that as a red flag. A spring and balance repair at this price should last substantially longer than this under ordinary residential use. I am extremely disappointed by both the value and the apparent quality of the work. I regret paying a premium price for a repair that did not provide a durable result. I am leaving a two-star review because the technician was personable and pleasant, even though the work did not hold up.

Was quoted by a different company $4,500 to replace it and that price was unacceptable as it cost me $8,200 to replace all my other windows including a new sliding patio door recently. So I found this company who was able to replace parts of it and save me a lot of money. A tech was sent out to measure and provide an estimate (sorry cannot remember his name) he quoted for all 6 pieces as I asked but told me I only needed to change 2 if I was going to do any of it. The 2 main pieces had dust and dirt in between the panes so I could never get the window clean. After I decided to move forward I scheduled the install and Marlo showed up and was very professional and polite. He did the job very quickly and when he was removing the 2 old glass panes we discovered that they had completely failed as the outer pieces of glass separated from the inner spacer in effect leaving me with single pane glass. Marlo installed the new low e double pane glass and I now have a window that is in much better condition, clean, and way more efficient. Thanks Cut Rate & Marlo

Fast service, great price and they answered after hours. We called HNS after hours, they came out the next day installed a top of the line belt drive for less than home Depot. They even adjusted the springs on both of our doors (even one they weren't replacing the opener on) at no charge. We had our garage door opener fail completely ( the drive gear shearedoff ) and the door would not go up or down. We figured out that the spring tension was wrong, making the door to heavy, and that caused the chain gear to shear off. We would normally call Home Depot for this kind of repair, which we did, they said it would be a week or two until someone could come out. After discussing our our problem they explained their installers could not work on spring tension so they could not solve our problem.That is when we found HNS on Yelp and had a great experience. read more

We needed help getting our daughter's garage door fixed after amother company basically took her to the cleaners with a super high service call. $60 to come out to the house, and then an additional $60 for a 5 minute adjustment, and then the recommendation to spend another $300 for new springs! Pretty much she spent $120 for NOTHING! Our son recommended that we call Travis at HNS Garage Doors. He not only came out immediately, but he was so reasonably priced and efficient that we were sick we didn't have him in the first place! Never again! This guy does not have a license. When I looked up the company w BBB, they were nowhere to be found. Then I looked at State contractors board and no licenses w them either. I called Dreikosen Garage Door and seen them in there so I went with them instead. If this guy hurts himself at my house he could sue me. I think it was the owner that came out but he was very professional and honest. He was able to fix our issue in 20 minutes, program the remote and also saved me $500!!!!! I have faith that there are honest and legit people in this world. But this business makes me lose…read morea lot of that faith. They get credit for being prompt and doing the job right. But they get 0 credit when offering unnecessary services, preying on a customer (my 19 year old daughter) that might not be as informed, and for tip hovering for a service that does not require a tip. I do accept some fault for what happened, but it still does not excuse being shady. I heard a loud bang in the house one night and was not able to discover where it came from until the following morning when I went to open the garage and discovered the single spring on the garage had broken. I had to get to work so I scheduled for someone to come in from JB to replace the spring. The only person home when this person arrived was my daughter. He told my daughter that the garage needed a second spring to be installed (which it doesn't). Not knowing any better, my daughter gave him the ok. The springs cost $275 a piece, with about $100 in labor, and with a semi-forced tip hover of $60+, I was billed $750+ for a job that should have been $400 at the most. My mistakes: 1) I should have kept the spring more lubricated 2) I should have requested a preliminary estimate over the phone for the job. 3) I should have waited to have the job done when I was home. 4) If I wasn't going to be home, I should have given specific instructions to my daughter on what services were to be done and if they weren't going to do that, to get my consent first. 5) Educate my daughter to tip for services like this, but it does not have to be a percentage like a restaurant. Again, I accept some blame for the experience. But everyone knows how marketing works for small businesses like this. If you do a good job and do it right, I'm going to tell everyone I know to use your services and give praise on Yelp. If you are shady and don't do things right, I'm going to tell everyone I know to not use you and you get blasted on Yelp by a Yelper that pretty much NEVER writes bad reviews. So I hope it was worth the couple hundred extra bucks you made, you'll never see my money again.

When I called to schedule the appointment, the office mentioned they saw Tony's note on the previous work order. So when Tony arrived for the job, he even brought his own piece of wood! After he installed the piece of wood, he detached - and eventually reattached - both the door spring and the garage door opener. He worked confidently and with great skill. My wife and I were very impressed. Of course, when the job was completed, he finished up by servicing each of the rollers. Cactus Garage Door is fortunate to have a worker like Tony.
