Hoagitos is one of my go-to spots in the area! My favorites are the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, and the Double Smashburger. I'll occasionally get the Nashville Hot, but that one really packs a kick, so consider the warning, haha. I always order in person and they whip it up in a matter of minutes. I've never eaten in, but they have indoor and outdoor seating and always have some good indie/rock playing on the radio for those who want a sit-down meal. I've probably ordered here close to 100 times and have only have 2 order issues. I brought it to the management's attention the last time and they were super professional and took care of it ASAP. My only other gripe is that they don't have bleu cheese for the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Overall, 5 stars all day long, no doubt about it! read more

A lunch break at Hoagitos is a weekly occurrence (sometimes twice within a week!) Our usual picks are the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich - and yes, the meat is *always* hanging out past the bun. The sauces and the quality of the chicken are always top notch. Today we tried something different with the Spicy Vodka Parm Sandwich - it was lacking a little bit in the sauce and flavor department. My dinner at Hoagitos was so good! I have visited the Point Pleasant location and loved it, and this location is just as good (plus it has a parking lot). Upon entry, I was warmly greeted by Justin. He was very courteous and helpful with suggestions and menu options. I opted for the Forbidden Chicken sandwich, which had a sweet and spicy glaze, daikon slaw and roasted garlic mayo. It was a fantastic sandwich that was cooked to order. I had a side of shoestring fries which were tasty as well, but the true star was the sriracha mayo that it came with. It was almost more addictive than the fries. The spicy chicken vodka parm sandwich is an excellent fusion of flavor. I look forward go returning soon to get my Hoagitos fix and try more of their menu items! read more

This place is insane! Went partying hard and had to replenish a lot of missing calories with my buddy Dan. Dan suggested we go to Hoagitos since he knows I love to eat. I got the Southern Comfort chicken sandwich, which is crispy chicken, Mac and cheese, and a chili jam on top. Well let me tell you I almost shot into space with the first bite, what an insanely delicious chicken sandwich, likely one of the best I've ever had in my LIFE. The flavors of that southern comfort were outrageous. I also had a bite of my buddy's chipotle burger, and wow! Amazing burst of flavor in that burger! The fries and BBQ sauces were also amazing. Can't recommend this place enough! They have special sandwiches each month which just makes me want to visit them monthly!! Food was served to us at the table very quickly. The inside decor is cool, kind of feels like you're eating in a much nicer 5 Guys type of food place. Most of their locations are by the beach, so summertime is looking even tastier this year! Great options, great service, clean and welcoming. My daughter and I wandered in as we've heard so much about Hoagitos, she wasn't super hungry and opted for a basic turkey and cheese. I was overwhelmed by the menu and wanted everything. The plan was to order the chopped cheesesteak until I got up to the register and noticed the Asian chicken special which I quickly ordered. This was a bad choice on my part bc this isn't my taste. I don't like sweet. It was almost like a general tso chicken sandwich. My daughter opted to swap with me and now I was stuck with a plain ol' turkey sandwich. It was good but I was looking for something gooooood. I often visit the Belmar location, but recently gave this location a try. Honestly, Hoagitos can do no wrong. They make the best food I've ever tried. If you haven't had an opportunity to visit one of their locations out, I highly recommend you do. During this trip we got two specialty sandwiches. The Tinga and the Caesar chicken sandwich. The Tinga was phenomenal and loaded with flavor. This sandwich deserves a spot on the permanent menu. Absolutely fantastic - as always. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem. It's a small sandwich joint in a very busy plaza, but it is so modern. They have beautiful indoor and outdoor seating so it's great for big groups. The sandwiches to take time to come out but when they do, they are outstanding! Honestly, some of the best me to order fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. They have a ton of unique different combinations as well as extremely crispy juicy chicken. This was my first time trying Hoagitos - we ordered to go and got the meatball sandwich, the brisket hoagito, and the macaroni salad. Their sandwiches are a good size in my opinion. I didnt feel too full and the sandwich plus the side was enough to leave me satisfied. I liked my sandwich - the marinara was tasty and there wasnt too much cheese like other places do so it was not too heavy. My partner liked his brisket - the flavors complimented each other although he said it was a bit dry. The sandwiches were packed neatly and not too messy to eat. The macaroni salad was also good. I was in NJ for a visit and swung by to grab lunch. I was very impressed by the customer service - they staff were personable, funny, and provide us with great recommendations. We sat inside but notice there is ample outdoor seating for a smaller location. Notably, the outdoor space was created using reclaimed wood from the Asbury Boardwalk, a nice touch for locals to appreciate. Highly recommend the hand-cut fries, very crunchy and thinly sliced. We ordered the Southern Comfort and Colonel Mustard sandwiches, and they were excellent. The spicy chili jam balanced the savory chicken and the griddled mac and cheese. If you're looking for a great sandwich spot, skip Wawa and fast food, and come here! read more

Food is good quality and not your average fare. I like the pulled pork and the turkey sandwich as well as the shoestring fries. All are seasoned well. A bit pricey for the size of the "little" hero but who doesn't over charge today? Only probelm is they seem to have has a gnat problem over the summer. If I could give this place a 10 stars, I definitely would do it in a heartbeat. My family and I stumbled upon this place while visiting the area and after reading all of the wonderful reviews. We decided to give it a try. The food was indeed DELICIOUS! We ordered the Forbidden chicken sandwich and the Chicken Vodka Parm along with an order of their fresh cut fries. Everything was tasty, fresh and so yummy. After eating our food, we decided to buy two additional sandwiches to bring home and these sandwiches were also very tasty. The two to go sandwiches we got were the Asian BBQ Sando and the Nashville Hot. We also tasted their salted chocolate chip cookies and these cookies were indeed the best chocolate chip cookies that we have ever tasted. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I first visited them when they were on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ. The food is awesome! And service is great! I finally returned after over 8 years and their menu has expanded.
