I went in recently to look at wall decor and frames for a gallery wall I am putting together. I was pleasantly surprised to see the huge selection they have for exactly what I was looking for. I spent a long time browsing the aisles and having to decide exactly what I wanted/needed. They also have some cute furniture pieces at the front of the store. I can't speak for the quality but it was interesting to see that. They also had a lot of seasonal merchandise like for autumn, Halloween, and Christmas. They already have affordable prices but they were also running a promotion so I got a great deal. I also was able to use a 40% off coupon on one item that I found online. The only downside was that the checkout process is a little slow. I waited behind someone who had a lot of items that needed rung up and wrapped. The other line with someone said returns and exchanges but I saw so many people being rung up there. I was there shopping with some friends and a old female bulldog lookinng women with a bad bob was following me around, she looked at me and straight up gave me a stank face. As we continued to shop I noticed her everywhere I went, even when I asked a employee for a price check. She was so overwhelming that I couldn't continue shopping , I did end up getting something but she ended up following to the cashier as I paid standing right behind her and checking me out. This Hobby Lobby falsely accused a member of my family of shoplifting, forced her to strip down to her sports bra because she was "hiding items in her sleeve," refused to check the cameras to confirm her innocence and threatened to arrest her because she "could have emptied her purse." Whoa. This can be overwhelming when first walking in because it's so large, there are many items and.. wow! First coming in, I was shocked at how much there was. I took two rounds to get around it because it seemed that there were going to be things that I missed. There is something here for any occasion. Great staff! I'm overwhelmed by the amount of items they have there. Came here for 1 item and while browsing, I so happened to come across the Funko POP Baby Yoda which has been sold out everywhere! Really cool art place. Always went to Michael's until recently my friend recommended me this company. I like it better. I think it is ultimately preference. Michael's seem to have better quality items but I don't really mind it too much. The sales were awesome during Labor Day weekend as well. read more

I love this store! But the woman tonight with the butterfly hairclips was so rude for no reason. Purchasing my items before the store closed and rerouted us to another register. I go to the register, obviously going to let the people in front of me go before me, and she rudely stopped me thinking I was going to cut in front. Clearly I was making room for them to go in front. The way she put her hand in front of me and embarrassing me for no reason. I go back to my original line and she kept telling me to move to the other line over and over again. I go back and it turns out to be a return line! I don't understand what she was doing and targeting me like that when I was fine where I was after her making me move. I'm not an animal. I love Hobby Lobby!! I had never been before and recently went in for the first time. It's pretty much like Michael's, but I found the selection to be broader and the store itself seemed a bit more organized. Their employees also seem really knowledgeable about their products. It's not the cheapest place but it's not any more expensive than Michael's. I will likely return if I'm ever in the area. read more

I LOVE me some Hobby Lobby. I could spend hours here. It is such a therapeutic time for me when I come here and spend 45 minutes in the store. I even have my cousins coming here now to full-fill all of their arts and crafts dreams. I always find what I am looking for and the workers are so nice and helpful. I am so happy that they have one closer to my house. I bought so many cute christmas decor here and even the single pieces were reasonably priced. If I could give HB minus stars I would- After writing a complaint to CS and to corporate, after sending them a fax photo of my receipt, a photo of my broken item as they requested I hear nothing back. I email them to say, 'will you be crediting my account?' And they respond with, ' with original sales receipt: within 90 days of purchase we will gladly exchange the merchandise, give a store credit or issue a refund based on the original method of payment. There will be a wait of 10 calendar days on check purchases, or merchandise credit can be issued.' Well if they didn't give me my refund the first time- why would I think they would do it now?!!!! I head to checkout I see 2 separate lines, I go to the short line and the cashier tells me she needs to call customers from the other line before she helps me Me: "is there one line or 2" Cashier: "2 separate lines" Me: "ok so I'm in your line they're in that line" Cashier "well i have to help them first" Me: "that makes no sense if they're 2 separate lines" Cashier mumbles some bull*#%+ Me: that makes no sense but ok whatever This is completely moronic ! Called in for an item to be placed in hold. Got there late that evening thinking I would go to a customer service desk. Instead they have cashiers in the front. As I waited for one of them to become available a nice black man approached me while sweeping. I told him what I needed and he passed the info along to the manager (large tall Spanish fellow). And the manager failed to even acknowledge me. Afterwards a cashier became available and I asked her. She found my items and only 2 of the promised 4 were available. Okay whatever! As I'm paying the manager begins going back and fourth with my cashier. Like literally nit picking! I gave the cashier some words of encouragement and left. read more

Do not shop here. Purchased 2 frames. I got them home and when I put my art in them I noticed glass on one of them did not completely cover the bottom. It was deflected. The other one has a few defects on the wood that wasn't noticeable in the store. Went to return them and they said they don't return frames and that they do not sell damaged merchandise. basically told me I damaged the items. Would not issue me a return or credit either. This store makes up their own return policies. Beware and make sure to thoroughly check merchandise while in the store before you buy. read more

I think there is a management issue at this store. Individually, the associates are polite, as a whole, customer service is lacking. I visited this store on Friday 7/26 and Saturday 7/27. On Friday, many of the aisles were not handicap accessible due to merchandise sitting on the floor waiting to go onto shelves. This is unacceptable for many reasons. On both days, I was directed to leave the line I was waiting in to go to another line. On Saturday, this resulted in the two people who were behind me in my original line being assisted before me because the line I was sent to took longer. Upon finishing my transaction, I was directed to return my hand basket to an area that was behind the cash registers. This would have required me to walk out of my way to do so, and at this point I was beyond annoyed. I have worked in retail, and it appears that there is a lack of direction as to how the check out process should go. It appears that the cashiers are doing the best they can with what they have to work with - a long line of impatient people. Management needs do step up and streamline this process, and if you expect customers or return baskets - place them by the exit. I was very pleased with the yarn selection, and each individual employee I encountered was polite. I will not likely visit this store again unless I am in the area for another reason. read more

Terrible customer service and it makes me sad because I love the store and the Hobby Lobby company. I showed up a few minutes before closing. They close at 8 but I thought they closed at 9. As I was heading to thr back of the store to buy a craft items for a kids birthday gift that was the next day a man sweeping stooped and literally would not let me walk past him. I told him I just needed one thing on the isle right behind him and he said no. The other lady also said no and I had to come back the next day. I had entered the store before 8 and by the time I made it to the back of the store it was only a minute after. When I met my teenage daughter back at the front she said the lady who she passed was also very rude and did some circular motion trying to usher her out of the store. Very disappointed. I am giving them a one star review because, I find it strange that a company will price match a competitor's in-store ad, yet they will not price match their OWN website price. I wanted to buy an item in-store that is $2.29. Online was $1.99. They did not price match it. Yes, it's only 30 cents, but like, really!?!? Wish I can give this store more stars, but their check out needs some serious work. 2 cashiers working on a busy Saturday after noon.. Luckily a 3rd cashier opened up and immediately had to ask for a price check that took 10 minutes.. Uh, she could've cancelled the transaction and rang at least 3 people.. When I got to her she offered no apology for the wait..The manager seemed over whelmed, as well. Bad customer service all around. The lady in front was very nice. Store was packed and they do have some good deals with a lot of 50 percent off on a lot of things. They do need to keep the stairs and collect the shopping carts better so the aisle are freed up a bit more because it was crowded to walk around. read more

This was my first time here and was very impressed with the store. It's very neat and well stocked. I came to return a large online ordered item. Unfortunately I left the packing slip home and could not find the order on my phone. The manager came to help and we were able to affirm the purchase from barcodes on the wrapping and I got my full orefund. I was treated so patiently and kindly. It was my first time visiting a Hobby Lobby and I really love everything about it. It's just like a Michaels, some of their stuff seem a bit cheaper. The store is really spacious. It has so many things for all your crafting needs. I'd most likely be checking out this place first before going to Michaels. There are two things that usually move me to write a review; I received an exceptional product &/or service or I received a terrible product &/or service. Based in my rating I'll give you one guess to which I received yesterday afternoon at approximately 1:17pm at this particular HL location. Because of my business I use a lot of canvases and HL has a great everyday price. I stopped here on my way to a gig and as I expected it was a little busy because after all, it was a Saturday afternoon. What I didn't expect was that they'd have two registers open. One for returns & exchanges and another for purchases only. As a cashier part of your job is to keto the line moving. You're supposed to be polite, friendly and efficient. The young lady in the purchases only line, which is the line I was in was deep in conversation about the craft the customers were going to work on. That's fine of you're capable of ringing up and talking at the same time. If not just keep ringing things up. The line was just getting longer and longer. It went back past the front displays and over by the mermaid stuff aisle. I made a comment to the customer behind me that perhaps another checkstand should be opened to which the checker on the return line said the manager was on her lunch break and they needed a manager approval to open another checkstand. However I also noticed that they did leave what I'm guessing is a lead cashier to check for counterfeit bills and answer customer questions. This person was deep in conversation with some people that walked into the store she clearly was friends with. I asked her if she was going to open another register. She chose to ignore me. If you can't trust that person to make the decision to open another register when it is clearly needed, then the store should have two managers on duty. HL's internal policies are clearly affecting their ability to provide excellent customer service. This store needs to evaluate their busy times and schedule employees according to that so they're prepared. I sure am glad my home store is the Burbank location - the size of store doesn't matter. If anyone at HL actually reads these reviews and cares what their customers think, feel free to check your surveillance cameras. You will see that I'm not exaggerating. I checked out at 1:17pm and Genesis was my cashier. read more

This place literally blew me away. I never had one of these stores near me but had heard of them. Since I don't have a crafting hobby, I assumed that nothing would be of interest--boy was I wrong!
