If you ever watched Cheers on television or streaming, you would know the vibe here. Friendly neighborhood dive bar with tv screens so you can watch the local teams play the big game. And because we live in an area where we have solid sports teams, we are treated to a whole schedule of watchable games that you lose your voice screaming at the screen. It is infinitely more fun to watch a game like 49ers Eagles in a room full of strangers bound together by their home squad. I had a beer and a mezcal-soda and their complimentary turkey chili last Sunday. Made friends instantly and high fived strangers after the dominant win by the local team. So fun, I heard this spot sells steaks on Mondays. I need to come back to try that. JYW highly recommends. BTW, there is a back patio here too.

Enjoying some brews with my babe at the local hangout. Excellent vibe and the service was even better!

Thank you Megan! We had a blast! We will see you next time we're on the west coast! Excellent ambience, great bartender, very friendly locals, cold brews on tap! We loved the atmosphere and the back patio was the cherry on top!

Quality/Quantity - Got a few Western Reach IPA's; refreshing and good. We also tried/tasted their Dolcita Hazy Drift; it was okay, but I felt the IPA had more flavor. My family brought me here for happy hour; well I chose the place, lol. We just had a late lunch, but did not want to take up a table without ordering food. So for the food, we got off of the HH menu also. Persian cucumbers. I just ate a bag from Costco, so none for me. But my wife and daughter are both huge persian cucumber fans. I was before my last bag from Costco, lol. Corn Fritters - Fried perfectly. I can eat these all day. Garlic Fries - Perfectly fried. I could have used more garlic though, but it was still good. But then again, I make amazing garlic fries in my air fryer. Ambiance - Love the space, beautiful. 2 floors. Toilets on both floors. Bar, table, and booth seating. Plenty of free street parking. I think it's good for an hour or two. Open 7 days a week from 11:30am or noon until 8pm or 9pm. Service - PM (the name on the receipt); sorry I forgot your name after my second beer, lol. PM was a one man army. Worked at both the bar and ALL the tables. The main reason for the 5 stars. The manager or owner was in the back, but on his lap top the whole time. An army of employees came for the dinner rush when we were leaving. Price - $41 + generous tip. $41 includes a 4% small business mandate. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since Spring of 2025. I know you should and will do well here. Please take care of the people that take care of you!

We grabbed a cozy booth, he ordered a flight and I got their margarita, which somehow tasted like the perfect summer day mixed with being back on vacation in Puerto Rico. Just perfection! We shared the calamari to start, then I had the steak and he ordered the milanesa and EVERYTHING was so good. Not one miss. I'm pretty sure we accidentally found one of our new spots. Great food, great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and the sweetest service. 10/10 recommend!

Today we got the following off of the HH menu, all of which were good: Yakitori Chicken - Two pieces. Salt and Pepper Wings - The highlight of the HH menu IMO. Generous portion for $5. Sweet Potato Fries - My guest's favorite dish. Calamari Rings - I think the oil needs to be changed...? It looked dark, see picture. It was good, but also HH quantity. Oh, and this dish was mischarged. When I came back the bartender offered to correct, I said if it's easier just give me another beer and we can call it even. More than enough food for us light eaters and again, I prefer liquid diets, lol. And for our drinks: Laughing Monk Amber - Just okay, and I do enjoy my ambers (and reds). The guest's tap was Cali Craft IPA - Got 3 of these... Smooth IPA and IMO, they had more flavor than the amber. Ambiance - Decent size bar, 3 restrooms. Private room in the back. And it also connects to the Japanese restaurant next door (same owners). Free billiards, darts, etc. Bar seating, lounge seating, bench seating, and table tops seating. Metered street parking, we walked. Live music on Tuesdays, see pictures. Service - Good. Friendly and welcoming. They did make a mistake on the bill which I had to come back to correct after my guest brought it to my attention. Price - $5 each, a good deal especially for SF. $44 + tip. A mischarge on the bill that was corrected when I came back to question it. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1920???? I think the website on Yelp is incorrect... From the outside, The Beer Hall almost blended into its surroundings - I almost walked right by if it hadn't been for the neon "The Beer Hall" sign. The taproom is quite spacious and could accommodate several large groups; however, the night of our visit was relatively quiet, perhaps due to the cold weather. Since there weren't any large tables, our group spread out over three smaller tables. As people came and went throughout the evening, it was convenient that we could each order our own beer and food at the bar. I selected an IPA from Fieldwork, a local favorite, and the beer stayed cold and refreshing throughout the evening. The food menu was limited, but I was craving something warm and salty to pair with my beer. For nearly $10, the fries weren't cheap, but the plate was piled high with some of the best fries I've had in a while. They were served piping-hot alongside two dipping sauces - aioli and ketchup. My friends sitting around me couldn't resist them either, and the mountain of fries disappeared in record time. The servers at the bar were very friendly and checked in on our group often. We spent a few hours enjoying our conversation and beer, overall having a fun, laid-back evening.

Stepping through the door you wouldn't know the place was under new management if you didn't check the name on the door. Same decor, same layout, same everything except the logos/art. It's a nice place to swing by for a good beer. I hope they do well so that they expand the list of taps to a larger selection (they have the infrastructure, just not the kegs).

I walked in around 5:30 PM planning to sit at the bar but saw there was no chance cause it was PACKED. Happy hour I ended up seeing later. I decided to l order to go. Super unorganized setup, there's a front window with a cashier to take your order who's also responsible for packaging to-go items and checking-in with Dashers. Dashers all crowd the window, walking right up to it not caring about those in-line to order. Very confusing and super unorganized. The 2 people working the window were nice, overwhelmed you can tell but maintained their composure when taking my order. Pretty fast turnaround time to get my food. I now know why... I ordered the quesadilla with carne and asada and what an absolute disappointment. I was so confused on what I was looking at the moment I got home. Thin quesadilla, definitely was expecting it to be thicker but when I lifted 1 half up, evening came out because it was super soggy from the pico de gallo. My walk was less than 10mins. There was more pico de gallo and tortilla then there was carne and cheese. The cheese...non existent. I have no idea how they missed the cheese in a quesadilla. Literally was shocked to see there was almost nothing of cheeses inside. It was just a soggy mess of pico and some carne straggling. Their to-go chips bag is a joke, there's about 12 chips inside. Other plates I've had are their guacamole - 3/5. Basic, nothing out of this world. Nicks Way fish and shrimp tacos - 3/5. Usually these are my absolute favorite (from their old location) but on a recent visit, the corn tortilla was so dry I'm not sure they even heated it up. Churros - 2.8/5. Nothing amazing or special about them. Their salsas I will say are 5/5. Probably the only best part. Michelada is OK, more of a Bloody Mary mix with beer added. For what you pay for, it's not quality at all that you get. There's so much potential for this place but their quality is just horrible. I'm being generous with 3 stars.
