if you're not stopping here and getting food you're messing up, i come from nothing but southern cooking and this is some of the best ive had yet restaurant wise. Me and mrs. Came in and the food was steaming hot, the prices were amazing and the portions were huge. The chocolate chip pancakes and the Banana nut pudding were out if this world! we will be back for dinner 100%. Came here for breakfast over the weekend hoping they weren't crazy busy. We only had to wait about 10 minutes which is pretty impressive for 10 am on a Sunday. Never been here before but it was very cozy and I felt right at home inside. Seating felt like it was spaced out just right. The younger guy at the register was very welcoming and doing an awesome job staying on top of things. Took a while for someone to take our order but I didn't mind. The ratio of customers to workers was definitely intimidating. But they handled it great, and our food came out just perfect! I will never eat here again. starts out there is a sign inside the door that they are short staffed. I get it everyone is but that is no excuse for horrible service. Whoever the manager was at the time thinks it does. at one point they ran out of glasses for drinks. took over 50 minutes to get food after ordering. Home fries were burnt and omelet was small. Was never checked on to see if food was ok. And to top it off got charged a service fee for using a credit card. Who does that? If you don't have enough staff you shut down half your dining room. This restaurant is certainly deceiving. When you pull up, you're not quite sure what to expect. It looks like the customer entrance to a massive warehouse. But as soon as you walk in, you realize quickly that you've walked into a locally owned small town diner. My wife and I stopped here for breakfast while on vacation. We were greeted immediately by a very kind lady and taken to our seat. I almost wish it had taken longer, because the coffee menu is very extensive and I ended up just getting a black coffee because I didn't know what all the options were. I had read the reviews beforehand, and very interested to see if any of the negative reviews held any water. We were blown away by the attentive service. My coffee cup was never empty (three refills), and our food came out within 15-20 minutes of ordering. I ordered the breakfast bowl, meat lovers (at the recommendation of my waitress), and my wife ordered the sausage omelet. Both were very good, and very filling. We decided to split the cinnamon swirl pancake, and (oh my gosh) it was fantastic! It was the highlight of our stop. Now I am tasked with figuring out how to recreate it at home (thanks a lot)! read more

We just had a family dinner there for my son's birthday. There were 16 people in all. I didn't hear a single complaint from anyone regarding the quality of the food and the portions were fairly generous. The prices were also fair considering the portion sizes. Finally a less than ambitious waitress came to retake our drink order and we placed our food order. Never offered a refill on coffee. Slow service, breakfast took forever and the food was cold. Barely warm pancakes and barely warm sausage. The butter didn't even melt in my husbands grits. When the server asked to take my plate which was 1/2 full- I informed her the food was barely warm. She said "huh" and walked away. No offer for fresh coffee or food. Full total on the bill. Must be the only restaurant in the area as there was a wait for what? We used to go all the time about 2 years ago and stop going because our last visit was pretty rough. But we decided to go back and try it again. Well I got meatloaf in my opinion the taste was off maybe some people like it like that but I couldn't eat it. My husband got pork chops and they were pink with some blood spots. My family have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. Sure, on one occasion, the service was slow but anyplace would be if they had 2 large groups outside of everyone else. This is the second time in two weeks I've been to this place and saved my review until revisiting to get a more accurate picture. Aside from incredibly average, there was ONE unusual thing that stood out... the sign at the register that stated, "Due to increased operating costs, we have been forced to add a fee of 3.5% onto all purchases." In scrawled, black marker the words "Credit/Debit cards only" appear. The sign goes on to say, "This admin fee allows us to continue to provide you with the same exceptional products and services we have always provided." Hmmm ... On our way home from Columbus we were looking for a local place to fill our bellies. This place served the purpose wonderfully. My bacon cheeseburger and husbands hot roast beef with mashed potatoes did not disappoint! We shared a slice of in-house made Oreo cheesecake. Delicious! But even more impressive was the staff.
