If you need a plumber, call Joe! This is my first experience with Joe, and I get very picky when it comes to contractor because I work for a large construction company and I look for many things when it comes to hire a contractor. Professional, clear communicator, skilled, fair pricing are what I would say about Joe. I am a new customer, and been trying to call many places, and it's either too busy or the company just doesn't seem to give a sh*t because it's a small job (replacing the wax ring of the toilet). I needed to done soon because I have new washer and dryer coming in and Joe initially said he would be busy too till next week, but I told him I really need someone, he offered to come the same night!!! He is just extremely straightforward and FAST, no BS or a lot of fluff talk just to get you to pay more, he was in and out in probably 30 mins. It's just so hard to find a "No BS" contractor nowadays that make you just want to TRUST them. I will definitely call Joe again if I have more issues in the future, and this kind of good company should be awarded, and the way to award them is by calling them when you have the need for plumbing work!!! I needed a water softener installed (that I already had purchased) so I called 11 plumbers to get an estimate. 2 answered immediately because they had a office administer person who answered the phones. 5 called back the next morning (less than 24 hours). 2 never called back and 2 don't install water softeners. Of the 7 estimates, Joe, at Hoffman Plumbing gave the best day available (in 5 days), the best price (under $300 for labor and under $50 for parts) and best realistic time to the job (under 3 hours). Everyone else was over week to come out, all other quotes were from $315 to $400, with a minimum of 3 to 5 hours for the job, plus parts/materials. Joe was also the only one that asked if I could take pictures of the existing piping in the garage and water softener unit and send them to him via text on his smartphone. Joe came out on time and finished the job in 2 hours flat! He beat his estimate in both time and materials. The total job cost $220. This was fantastic compared to one quote that wanted to charge me $400 for the labor and $100 in materials. Joe was courteous, fast, efficient and professional! We highly recommend Joe from Hoffman Plumbing for any plumbing needs you might have. He is highly professional, courteous, conscientious and very invested in making sure you are a satisfied customer. I called Joe when another workman found a water pipe leaking in our crawlspace. I had tried other plumbers, but everyone was too busy to show up in a reasonable period of time or didn't want to work on our system (It's an unusual system that requires special equipment). Joe called back promptly, and although extremely busy, came out very early in the AM even though he had another appointment scheduled for that morning. When he checked the leak he found that he didn't have the right parts with him. He then jumped into his truck, went to get the parts and came right back and fixed the leaking pipe. I had a water leak at my front porch which was flooding the area. I called three other companies before finding Joe. I called and left a voicemail and Joe returned my call within the hour. Joe came to our house that same day while I was at work, He accessed the issue and called me to explain what he found and told me he would be out first thing in the morning. The next morning Joe was at our house to replace the water hydrant. When I got home from work I found a new hydrant and the area completely cleaned up, like nothing had ever happened! Called them on a Friday. Said they could come check it out on Monday, great! then got a text message from them on Monday morning saying your technician called in sick, they will come in the following day between 3:30-5:30. I said ok that's fine. Then I get a text message from them at 3:45 saying they tried to get a hold of me via call and I didn't answer so they canceled my appointment! I never got a missed call from them or a voicemail! Extremely unprofessional. I own a business myself and I would never cancel someone's appointment if they were expecting an appointment. Wow, I had an amazing experience with these guys. I had a bad shower valve and had to shut off the hot water until it was fixed, with new tenants in the house. On short notice, I called Joe Ortiz and even though he was busy with other jobs, he made it out to my place at the end of his day and fixed the problem within 10 minutes. I called hoffmans plumbing when I had a broken drain pipe in my new house. They were quick to show up and were able to replace it and get it working again in about 20 minutes.
