We had a family birthday dinner, so we had a party of 10 or so. The restaurant was nice decorated for Christmas, and the servers were very nice. Unfortunately the food did not match the decor or service. Our meals came out haphazardly and many of the dishes were not even warm, let alone, hot. Perhaps it was an off night, but it was disappointing for my first visit after hearing such glowing reviews from others. Pretty good, highly recommend the pork belly bites and tacos. The guac the bites come on is wonderful. The drinks are pretty good too.v Service can be slow just bc they get busy during dinner and could use another server when that happens. How is this place not 5 stars?! Every single bite was some of the most flavorful Mexican food I've ever tasted. Flavor, flavor, flavor! The Food - White queso: Tasty and creamy. - Esquites (Elotes off the cob): HUGE and delicious. The mix of crema, grilled onion strips, corn, tajin, oh my. It's a nice blend (not too corn-heavy), and this appetizer is hard to find around town! - Taco salad: Tons of ground beef with rich flavors. The fried tortilla bowl is huge! I took my 65 year old neighbor here and she said, "This is the best taco salad I've ever had" and I agree! The Christmas decor is cute as well. Mole is just about my favorite food in the whole world, but only when it's authentic. The problem is that when it's truly authentic, the flavors are too strong for many people. Understandably, restaurants often mellowed it down. Authentic mole is very savory and some might consider it a little bitter. I was not disappointed with this mole. It was savory enough to satisfy me, but lacked the bitterness that I love but might be off putting to others. Not everyone likes mole. Individual tastes are fascinating. Cilantro tastes delicious for many people. Others think it tastes like soap. If you aren't sure whether you like mole, I suggest asking for a sample before you order. I ordered lunch tacos and got mole sauce on the side. I got both chocolate (poblano) and rojo mole. I was surprised that I liked both. I've been disappointed with the way some restaurants prepare rojo mole. It's usually just a weak red sauce. Hole Mole does it right. I was in Mole Heaven. I didn't just put mole on the tacos, but I poured all over the rice and beans and used it as dip for the chips. Dan got the combo that included a chicken enchilada and a tamale. I didn't get that because I usually don't like tamales. I tried Dan's and loved it. These chips are richer than most and the 2 salsas are also superior to what you get at most restaurants. I would describe the ambiance as trendy or modern. The inside was very pretty. The outside area looked inviting. For those who don't like mole, there's plenty of other things to order. In fact, I only found 3 entries on the menu that came with mole sauce. The Happy Hour looks appealing, they have $5 House Margaritas, and they have nightly specials: wet burritos on Mondays, Tacos on Tuesday, wings on Wednesday, Tortas on Thursday, and fajitas on Friday. What a great place! Me and my family came to try some Mexican food from here and we had a great experience. The appetizers we had were really good. We got chips and guacamole. The salsa was really good too. For the main course, I got a bean burrito. My burrito was delicious; one of the best I've ever had. Also, the rice on the side was very tasty. Great food overall. Hole Mole on Cherry Street is a great local Tex Mex spot! We went when they were at the old location and weren't as impressed, but have come back several times now that they're on 15th. The queso and cheese enchiladas are so freaking good, and my husband loves their tacos! read more

I'm so glad they have their own space now. Parking is available behind the building. Remember your license plate and they'll validate it so you won't have to pay. They have covered patio with TVs, which is a nice option when the weather's nice. Inside, it has a cool vibe. I like the bar in the middle with seating around it. Service was great! Kass took great care of us and even the manager, Cory, stopped by to ask how everything was. He looked familiar and it turns out he was the manager at Olvine (now MK Bistro) and café Ole. I've always had great experiences with him so I'm glad he's there now. I love their mocktail options. The Paloma fizz is my favorite, super refreshing. The esquites are a MUST. I went with the chicken enchiladas with mole and had grilled veggies instead of rice. I wish it was served with black beans instead of refried beans but they were still good. Seems understaffed as a first impression and that became reality as our server was busy and frantic. I ordered a lunch combo which was a fajita chicken enchilada, one chicken tamale both topped with mole rojo, rice & refried beans. This was just a horrible meal. The amount of mole was excessive and smothered the fajita and enchilada. It was some of the worst tasting mole I've had. The refried beans looked disgusting and the rice was just weird. The tamale was barely identifiable as such. The House Margarita was the only redeeming item I ordered. I should have ordered two to help me forget the rest of my meal. My dining companion had the pork belly tacos which he liked but he felt the same way as I did about the rice and refried beans. The outside covered patio and bar is very nice. I've previously tried Holé Molé at the Bramble location. I'm happy to see it now has a standalone location! I'm unsure when they opened but it feels like they're still working out a few of operational snafus, but perhaps we arrived after a rush. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday. Several tables inside hadn't been reset and our table still had the former customer's bill on the table. Several servers congregated around the bar and it seemed like they could still all be training. To the food and drinks: the salsa selection was refreshing. This wasn't the appetizer from the menu but brought to our table. The Birria omelette was delicious!! My partner said the breakfast tacos were a little bland for his liking but he prefers very spicy food. I had the $5 margarita, which was okay. My partner had the michelada and enjoyed it. They bring two salsas both of which are in unique and have a wonderful Smokey flavor. Ask for the spicy salsa too. It's not overly spicy w/a hint of fruity flavor. We all thought our dish was the best. I ordered one of the specials that involved raw tuna and it was to die for. The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free food. The menu is actually marked showing things with gluten because there are a lot more items that are gluten free. Chips...they clean the fryer every night and fry the chips first thing in the morning and then fry GF and gluten items in it. I chose to get corn tortillas instead of taking a chance with cross contamination. I ordered the Poppers de Camerones. They were absolutely scrumptious. I mean you put one in your mouth and can't help but smile. Mmmmm! To top it off they come with mashed potatoes that have peppers, onions, cheese, corn and I'm not sure what else but they bring your smile to a teeth showing, cheesy grin. Uh, huh, makes you feel warm all over. I have never had so many options to choose from and cannot express how grateful I am to them for providing so many gluten free choices. I'm so glad this place has moved to Cherry street. Not that it's previous location was far away but I always forgot about it! I have gone here twice and both nights were taco tuesday. We opted to sit at the bar and the service was OK but a little slow. Chips and salsa arrived but we had not silverware or napkins. I finally just went back to the hostess stand to grab some for us. There were some great things about our visit, though. The margs are great and a bargain at $5. The guac is interesting. It was a bit acidic b/c of the pickled onions on top. I liked it. We split some Tacos Dorados and the Carne Asada Tacos. The later was the best. Rice was good. Beans were just OK. One of the managers seemed to be working hard at making everyone feel welcome. I went back & forth between that & the Tacos Dorados (which I'm more than likely getting next time). Chipotle crema, cabbage, avocado paste, fried Mahi & cilantro is what all came with taco. The ambiance is eclectic and wonderfully dazzling with a kaleidoscope of glittery miniature pińata style decorations hanging from the ceiling. Acoustics are medium loud but not bad. Staff were quick, friendly and helpful. I was flying solo so I sat at the bar on an early Saturday afternoon. Their tea is solid BTW. Alexis at the bar was friendly, helpful, respectful and accommodating. Chips are corn and while authentic are not those mass produced overly thick ones. They were light and crispy but not thin. Two salsas served were both pleasantly far from ordinary--one a lighter minimal spiced red salsa and one a darker, spicier salsa. I ordered the beef burrito and it was a fantastic. It was also covered in queso blanco which was a nice surprise. Although I don't have Celiac issues they are very gluten friendly and most of their items are gluten free. They can sub for most allergies including flour for corn tortillas. I spoke with the manager who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Of all the 3 Sirens concepts this might just be my favorite. The meals were very ok. The half chicken was not well seasoned, the skin was mushy and not crisp, and it's really a waste to put mole on skin you pull off. But the mole sauces are actually incredible, it made everything so much better. The tamales and enchiladas are fine, it's the sauce that make them any good at all. Also basically no vegetables in these meals, typical for NM style cuisine. The rice and beans were very bland, even the kids didn't care much for them and they typically go crazy for those. We gave Hole mole a try for brunch a few Sundays ago as a going away for our friends. We were seated promptly and I ordered a michelada. I expected it to be strong and spicy, so I was disappointed in what I received as it felt thin and bland. I didn't order a refill. I ordered the birria omelet and it was good but my eggs felt a little overdone which you run the risk of with any omelet I suppose. Finally, our server was very nice; but service is not his strong suit. He took most of our orders and then began entering them into the computer before returning to take the remaining orders. He asked multiple times if we wanted our pictures taken; we said yes the first time but then it was repeated asks and also repeated asks about bar drinks. It was just *off.* We didn't stay long after completing our meals as we usually would, especially as a send off meal, but it was just awkward, and again, the drinks didn't reflect well.
